I Felt Less Than a MAN: Hernia Surgery, Why Men Don't Dance & Republican Friends? | Ep. 14

Send us Fan Mail Black & Victorious Episode 14 starts on the new set and gets real fast. Vic is two weeks out from hernia surgery and tells the story nobody expects: a Black woman carried his bags into the CBC while he held a little brown box, and it had him feeling less than a man. That turns into a real conversation about gender roles, whether a man's worth is tied to what he can do, and the shame of watching your wife lift the suitcase. From there it gets funny. Why don't Black men dance anymore? Line dancing, the Electric Boogie Woogie Woogie, Baltimore club, the Dougie by summer 2027, and who is really too cool to dance (we have receipts from the One Love ride). Then the hard questions: could you be friends with an outspoken Republican right now? Could you marry someone from a different religion? What's your favorite type of Black person, how would people describe you, and are your parents proud of you? We close with a Let's Argue card game that goes left: a sexual bucket list that doesn't include your partner, and whether patriarchy is good or bad for society. Raw, unfiltered, real talk. Tell us in the comments: would YOU feel less than a man? Nobody Checks On MEN: Empty Nest, Ex Reviews & J. Cole | Ep. 13

Send us Fan Mail We went THERE this episode. Black & Victorious Episode 13 starts off with jokes about a loud sweatsuit and a lace short set, then gets real fast. We talk about dropping a son off at college and what the empty nest actually feels like for a father ("it feels like you lost the homie"), how to sit with your emotions instead of running from them, and something men almost never get checked on about: the grief that comes with a miscarriage. From there we get into girl dad vs boy dad, whether boys are taught to hide what they feel, and whether we're gangster enough to defy the norm. Then it gets funny. If all your exes got together and left you one Google review, how many stars are you getting? We rate ourselves (honestly?), keep it 100 with young men about telling the truth and knowing their worth, relive the pain of a first crush and heartbreak, and argue about the Jay-Z, Chris Brown x Usher and J. Cole concerts. We close it out with a Let's Argue card game that goes left. Raw, unfiltered, real talk. Drop your star rating in the comments.
