In this first episode  we begin a journey through Scripture that points us to the One who has always been our source of help—the Lord Jesus Christ. Our starting point is Psalm 121:1–2: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” Life can bring seasons of fear, uncertainty, discouragement, and loneliness. But God's Word reminds us that we are not alone. Our help doesn't come from circumstances or from what we can see. Our help comes from the Lord. For 20 years, these Scriptures have been a source of encouragement, strength, and hope. Now, we're sharing them with you. This is more than a podcast series.     Psalms of Help — The Jesus Focus Podcast Where does your help come from? Life has a way of bringing us to moments when we realize we can't do everything on our own. We need strength when we're tired, peace when we're troubled, direction when we don't know which way to go, and hope when we're struggling to see beyond today. Psalm 121:1–2 gives us the answer: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” Welcome to Psalms of Help, a special series of the Jesus Focus Podcast with Gene McCoy Ministries. These are Scriptures that God has used to minister to my heart throughout my walk with Jesus. Since being saved in 2006, I've spent years reading, studying, marking, underlining, and writing notes in my Bible. Along the way, certain passages became Scriptures I could return to when I needed encouragement, strength, direction, peace, or simply a reminder that God was still with me. I call them my Psalms of Help. Now, I'm sharing them with you. This journey will take us through four seasons: God is WITH me. Discovering God's presence when we need Him most. God is working IN me. Allowing God's Word to change our hearts, thoughts, desires, and lives. God is leading me FORWARD. Learning to trust Him, follow His direction, and take the next step even when we can't see the whole road. God wants to work THROUGH me. Taking the comfort, grace, encouragement, and help we've received from God and becoming a source of encouragement to others. These episodes are for the person who is walking through a valley, waiting on God, battling fear, carrying a burden, searching for direction, or simply wanting to grow deeper in their walk with Jesus. My prayer is that these Scriptures won't simply be passages you hear on a podcast. I pray they become Scriptures you carry. Words you remember when you're afraid. Promises you stand on when you're discouraged. Truth you speak when your feelings are fighting against your faith. And God's Word that you hide in your heart so that when the difficult day comes, you already know where to turn. Because when you don't know what to say, the Word gives you something to say. When you don't know what to pray, the Word gives you something to pray. And when you don't know what to believe, the Word reminds you what is true.     “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” — Psalm 11:3 The foundations are shaking. Our families, churches, communities, and nation are facing battles that can leave Christians wondering, “What are we supposed to do?” Psalm 11 doesn’t call God’s people to panic, hide, complain, or give up. It calls us to faithfulness. In this episode of the Jesus Focus Podcast with Gene McCoy Ministries, we look at three things the righteous can do when the foundations are being destroyed: GET RIGHT WITH GOD.     The Jesus Focus Podcast: When Saul Met Jesus: The Encounter That Changed Everything

    Welcome to the Jesus Focus Podcast, where we turn our attention away from the distractions of this world and put our focus where it belongs—on Jesus Christ. Today, we’re looking at one of the most dramatic encounters in all of Scripture: the day Saul met Jesus on the road to Damascus. Saul started that journey determined to stop the followers of Jesus. He had authority in his hand, anger in his heart, and a destination in mind. But before Saul could reach Damascus, Jesus stopped him in his tracks.
