How to Have a Summer of Overflow: Abiding in Jesus Instead of Chasing More

Are you trying to have the best summer ever but already feeling the pressure to do more, plan more, and make every moment count? In this episode of the Worthy & Whole Podcast, we’re talking about how to have a summer of overflow by abiding in Jesus instead of chasing more experiences. Summer can bring so much joy, nostalgia, family time, sunshine, beach days, pool days, vacations, and memory-making but it can also become another place where we strive, compare, overplan, and live from lack. Through John 15, we’ll explore what it means to remain in Jesus, make room for Him, and bring Him into the summer we are already living. You’ll be encouraged to stop trying to force fulfillment and start receiving the peace, joy, renewal, and abundant life that come from staying connected to Christ. If you’re a busy mom, a Christian woman craving peace, or someone who wants a more meaningful and fulfilling summer, this episode will help you shift from striving to abiding and experience Jesus in the ordinary, beautiful, messy, and joy-filled moments of your life. Scriptures mentioned: John 15:5, Psalm 16:11, James 4:8 Listen in and be reminded: the most fulfilling summer is not found in doing all the things. It’s found in making room for Jesus and bringing Him with you wherever you go. Songs mentioned: Make Room & Nothing Else by Cody Carnes I'm LeighAnn, a women's health nurse turned professional Christian coach. Don’t Miss Your Summer: How to Live a Fulfilling Summer with Presence and Intention

Do you ever get to the end of summer and wonder, “Where did all the time go?” In this episode of the Worthy & Whole podcast, we’re beginning a refreshing summer series about presence, peace, joy, and learning how to fully live the season you’re actually in. Instead of waiting for vacation, perfect weather, a clear calendar, or the next big thing to feel alive again, this conversation invites you to slow down and receive the simple gifts God is already placing in your everyday life. We’ll talk about summer embodiment, practicing presence through the five senses, creating “mini vacations” inside ordinary days, and choosing two or three words that describe how you want to feel by the end of summer. With Scripture from James 1:17, Psalm 34:8, Philippians 4:8, Psalm 118:24, John 14:27, and Ecclesiastes 3:11, this episode will help you stop rushing past your life and begin noticing the goodness of God right where you are. Because a full summer and a fulfilling summer are not the same thing. My prayer is that when summer ends, you don’t say, “Where did the time go?” You say, “Wow, what an amazing summer. I was actually present for it.” I'm LeighAnn, a women's health nurse turned professional Christian coach. I help women walk in their worth with a renewed peace, joy, and wholeness while aligning with their identity in Christ. Healing Body Image with Body Acceptance, Neutrality, and Body Appreciation

What if you do not have to love every part of your body to stop having a negative mindset about it? In this episode of the Worthy & Whole Podcast, LeighAnn, a women’s health nurse and Christian holistic coach, offers a grounded, faith-based conversation about body image, body positivity, body acceptance, body neutrality, body kindness, and body respect. Instead of forcing fake positivity or trying to convince yourself to love every part of your appearance, this episode invites you into a more realistic and Christ-centered way to relate to your body. Your body is not the source of your worth, Jesus is. But your body is the place where you live, love, worship, serve, heal, and walk out your God-given purpose. Through relatable imagery, Scripture, and compassionate truth, LeighAnn explores how body positivity can become a lifestyle of care rather than pressure to perform confidence. You’ll be encouraged to stop treating your body like the enemy and begin honoring it with acceptance, kindness, nourishment, movement, rest, and respect. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why body positivity does not have to mean loving every part of your body all the time How body acceptance can lead to healthier self-care instead of shameWhy body neutrality can be freeing for women tired of appearance pressureHow to practice body kindness by asking, “What does my body need?”What Scripture teaches about honoring the body without worshiping itHow to see your body as a vessel, a home, and a gift to steward with peaceScriptures referenced include Luke 12:23 and 1 Corinthians 6, reminding us that life is more than food, the body is more than clothes, and our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. If you are a Christian woman struggling with negative body image, self-criticism, body shame, comparison, or the pressure to love your body perfectly, this episode will help you begin with something gentler: acceptance, appreciation, neutrality, kindness, and respect. Your body is not your worth and your appearance is not your identity. You do not have to make your body your enemy to pursue healing, health, and wholeness. 8 Body Image Truths That Can Set You Free: Healing Negative Body Image with Jesus

Have you ever struggled with a negative body image that left you feeling not good enough no matter how much weight you lost, muscle you built, calories you burned, or fancy supplements you took? In this episode of Worthy & Whole, we are having a truth-wrapped-in-love conversation about body image, body shame, confidence, health, and identity in Christ. This is not a “try harder, fix yourself” episode. This is an invitation to stop seeing your body through the lens of shame and start asking Jesus to heal the way you see yourself. Together, we walk through 8 body image truths that can set you free, including why changing your body will not automatically heal your negative body image, how to pursue health without self-hatred, why confidence is built through practice, how to release clothes that have become a “shame shrine,” and why your life is happening now - not ten pounds from now, not after the next diet, and not after the next version of yourself. As Christians, we are not called to worship our bodies, but we are also not called to despise them. Our bodies are not shameful, disposable, or separate from our spiritual lives. They are God-given, deeply valuable, and worthy of compassion, stewardship, and care. If you have struggled with negative body image, body shame, comparison, clothing sizes, weight changes, aging, fitness pressure, or feeling like you need to look different before you can fully live, this episode is for you. Scriptures referenced in this episode: John 8:32 - “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Genesis 1:27 - Made in the image of God 1 Samuel 16:7 - “People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 - Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit Hebrews 10:35 - “Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.” Matthew 6:25 - “Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” Colossians 3:12 - Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience John 10:10 -Jesus came so we may have life to the full Psalm 139:14 - Fearfully and wonderfully made 2 Corinthians 4:16 - Inwardly renewed day by day Revelation 21:4–5 - God will make all things new Song of Songs 4:7 - A picture of belovedness and covenant love In this episode, you’ll be encouraged to: Stop waiting until your body changes to fully liveRelease shame-based motivation and pursue health from loveSee your body through the truth of being made in God’s imageBuild confidence through small acts of obedienceMake peace with the reality that bodies change, but Christ does not Your body was never meant to carry the weight of your worth. Jesus already secured that. If this episode encouraged you, share it with a friend who has been hard on her body or waiting until she looks different to fully live and take one small step today: put on the outfit, take the picture, move your body with kindness, or release one piece of clothing that has been speaking shame over you. Replace the lie you're not enough with the truth that in Christ you are altogether beautiful. Before Shame, the Body Was Not the Enemy: Caring for Your Body and Quieting the Body Image Noise with Compassion

In this episode of Worthy & Whole, LeighAnn shares an honest reflection on body image, summer insecurity, and learning to care for the body without partnering with shame. As shorts season arrives, many women feel the familiar pressure to “get back in shape,” hide their bodies, or measure their worth by how they look. But what if the goal is not to shame ourselves into change, but to steward our bodies with compassion, dignity, and truth? Together, we’ll look at Genesis 2–3, where Adam and Eve were naked and unashamed before sin and shame entered the story. We’ll reflect on God’s question, “Who told you that you were naked?” and consider how many of us have picked up body shame from comments, culture, comparison, and criticism... messages God never spoke over us. This episode invites you to stop treating your body like the enemy and begin seeing it as a gift worth caring for, to honor God with, and without making it the measure of your worth. Scriptures referenced: Genesis 2:25, Genesis 3:7–11, 1 Corinthians 10:31, Romans 8:1 Reflection question: When did shame first enter your body story, and what might God want to speak over that place today? Why Finding Yourself Doesn’t Work and Where to Put Your Worth Instead

What if the world’s advice to “find yourself” is actually keeping you exhausted, insecure, and stuck chasing a moving target? In this episode of Worthy & Whole, I share why trying to find yourself through the world’s lens can leave you striving for an identity that never feels fully secure. I open up about my own journey through identity discovery and how a search for myself slowly became a search for Jesus. What I thought I needed to build, prove, or discover on my own became an invitation to receive what had been true in Christ all along. We talk about the difference between a self-made identity and an identity received in Christ, why worth rooted in feelings, performance, and comparison will always shift, and how Jesus offers something deeper, steadier, and unshakable. If you have ever felt lost, insecure, stuck in comparison, or unsure of who you are, this episode will remind you that knowing who you are is not a project. It is an inheritance to receive from Jesus. In this episode, we cover: Why “finding yourself” can become an exhausting moving targetHow insecurity, comparison, and performance distort our sense of worthThe difference between building identity and receiving identity in ChristHow grief and hardship can become the beginning of a deeper search for JesusWhat it means to uncover your worth in Christ instead of striving to create itWhy true identity is anchored in Jesus, not in trends, feelings, or achievementScriptures referenced: Matthew 13:44 The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a fieldSong of Songs 4:7 – “You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you”Philippians 4:7 – The peace of God which surpasses all understanding If this episode encouraged you:Share it with a friend, subscribe to the podcast, and leave a review so more women can find this message. Spring Cleanup for the Soul: A Christian Perspective on Growth, Pruning, and Renewal

In this episode of the Worthy and Whole Podcast, we are talking about spring cleanup for the soul and what being a gardener can teach us about Christian growth, pruning, healing, renewal, and partnering with God in a new season. As the weather warms and the garden begins to wake up, spring reveals what winter left behind, the dead leaves, broken branches, overgrowth, and even the things that are still there but no longer belong where they are. In the same way, God often uses new seasons in our lives to reveal what needs tending, what needs pruning, and what may need to be released, transplanted, or nurtured for new growth. In this episode, I share reflections from my own spring garden and how the Lord used it to speak to me about: letting go of what no longer fitstrusting God’s pruning and repositioningresisting comparison with someone else’s “garden”learning to see your life with more gracepartnering with God instead of striving for perfectionIf you are in a season of healing, spiritual growth, emotional renewal, or making room for what God wants to do next, this episode will encourage you to trust the Master Gardener and remember that your life is not riding on your perfection. Part 2: The Wave Passes, Now What? | How to Recover After an Old Wound Gets Triggered

What do you do when an old wound gets triggered again? How do you recover when grief, fear, shame, or emotional overwhelm suddenly resurfaces, even after you thought you had already healed? In this Christian podcast episode, LeighAnn shares a practical and faith-filled approach to recovering after an emotional trigger, especially when an old wound resurfaces and healing feels layered instead of linear. If you have ever felt discouraged by the return of painful emotions, this episode will remind you that being triggered does not mean you are back at the beginning, and it does not mean you have failed. You’ll learn how to: pause before pushing forward, identify what got stirred up, discern whether you are facing a real present threat or an old wound response, care for your body with compassion, return to God’s truth instead of self-condemnation, and recover slowly with grace instead of striving. This episode offers Christian encouragement for women navigating healing from emotional wounds, grief triggers, trauma responses, nervous system overwhelm, and the challenge of finding peace when old pain returns. Through Scripture, practical reflection, and Christ-centered truth, you’ll be reminded that healing is not linear, God is with you in the waves, and you do not have to recover through shame. If you are searching for help with how to heal emotionally, how to recover after being triggered, Christian support after painful experiences and trauma, or how to find peace when old wounds resurface, this episode will meet you with both compassion and direction.
