Deadsville Deep Dive: Jason Voorhees Stuntmen

DEADSVILLE HORROR & HERO TALK COMES TO BTV! 🔪🏒 For the first time ever, Deadsville Horror & Hero Talk takes over Blairstown Diner TV (BTV)—the legendary diner made famous by its appearance in the original Friday the 13th! Join professional stuntmen Ronin James and Justin Clarke for a deep-dive retrospective into one of horror's most iconic killers: Jason Voorhees. From the original Friday the 13th through the evolution of Jason across the franchise, we're looking back at the actors and stunt performers who have played Jason Voorhees, while breaking down some of the most talked-about, brutal, memorable, and controversial kills from each movie. And this isn't just a conversation between horror fans. Both Ronin James and Justin Clarke have worked with legendary Jason Voorhees stuntman Kane Hodder, giving this retrospective a unique connection to the performers who helped define Jason's physicality and legacy on screen. Ronin James brings more than two decades of Hollywood stunt experience to the conversation, with credits including The Punisher, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Gotham, Death House and more. Justin Clarke brings his own extensive stunt resume, with credits including The Walking Dead spinoffs, Fallout, Jessica Jones, Wu-Tang and more. Together, they bring a stuntman's perspective to the Jason Voorhees legacy—looking beyond the blood and body count to discuss the performers, stunt work, practical effects, iconic kills, and what made these moments unforgettable to horror fans. And there's no better place to have this conversation than Blairstown Diner in Blairstown, New Jersey, the iconic location forever connected to the original Friday the 13th. 🔪 Jason Voorhees ️ Camp Crystal Lake 💀 Friday the 13th 🩸 Jason's Most Iconic Kills 🎭 The Actors & Stuntmen Who Played Jason 🎬 Behind-the-Scenes Horror Stories 🔥 Kane Hodder & Jason Voorhees 🎥 Professional Stuntmen Discuss Horror If you're a Friday the 13th fan, Jason Voorhees fan, horror movie fan, slasher fan, practical effects enthusiast, or stunt fan, this is a retrospective you won't want to miss. RESIDENT EVIL 2026 Fresh from the Theater: Spoiler-Free First Take

Greetings, Boo Believers. In this episode Ronin James and Steph Infection deliver a spoiler-free, out-of-theater first take after seeing Zach Cregger's Resident Evil. They discuss their immediate reactions while driving home, sharing high praise and honest impressions. The hosts describe the film as fast-paced, funny, and scary, praising its balance of horror, humor, and action. They highlight how the movie authentically channels video-game mechanics (leveling up, item finds, realistic player reactions) and commend Austin Abrams and the supporting cast for natural performances. The practical effects, CGI, and gore are noted as effective and fitting for the film’s tone. They also review the 4DX experience as an enhancing, worthwhile option and mention a limited-time T‑Mobile T‑Life $5 ticket perk for opening weekend. While avoiding spoilers, they discuss the film’s potential to launch sequels and its faithful take on early-stage mutations rather than traditional zombies. The episode closes with a reminder that a full spoiler-filled review will follow after they sleep on it, plus standard calls to subscribe, follow, and join their Patreon for ad-free episodes and exclusive content. Their bottom line: they recommend seeing Resident Evil in theaters, and many viewers — gamers or newcomers — should enjoy it.
