what i realized when i finally put my phone down

For the first time in a very long time, I took a full week away from social media. No scrolling. No posting. No checking notifications. Just complete stilness. And honestly… I didn’t realize how disconnected from myself I had become until I stepped away from the constant noise. In this episode, I’m sharing what this week offline taught me about overstimulation, dopamine, comparison, nervous system regulation, creativity, and the importance of stillness in a world that constantly demands our attention. We talk about: - why social media can leave us feeling anxious, burnt out, and disconnected - the dopamine cycle of scrolling and constant consumption - comparison culture and feeling “behind” in your 20s - how getting offline helped me reconnect to my body and intuition - why nature, stillness, and creativity are medicine - practical ways to reduce screen time without completely quitting social media - simple nervous system-supportive habits that helped me feel calm again This isn’t about demonizing social media. I truly believe it can be an incredible tool. But I also believe we need moments of silence now more than ever. Even just one day offline can change the way you experience your life. Reconnect Within: A Diaphragmatic Breathwork Meditation

In this guided meditation and diaphragmatic breathwork practice, I invite you to slow down, reconnect with your body, and return to the present moment — one breath at a time. Meditation and breath work completely transformed my relationship with myself. What once felt uncomfortable and overwhelming eventually became a space where I felt safe, grounded, and deeply connected to my inner world. Through this practice, I learned that thoughts do not define who we are — we can simply witness them and let them pass. This session focuses on diaphragmatic breathing, a powerful technique that helps regulate the nervous system and bring the body into a “rest and digest” state. Together, we’ll move through a calming breath pattern: inhaling for four seconds, holding for two, and exhaling for six. By breathing deeply into the diaphragm instead of the chest, you can release tension, calm stress, and create space for emotional release and healing. Whether you listen first thing in the morning, before bed, after a workout, or anytime you feel disconnected from yourself, this practice is here to help you slow down and come home to your body. My hope is that this becomes a space you can return to daily, a reminder that there is already so much healing, wisdom, and power within you. Thank you for being here with me on this journey. ♡ ✨ Connect with me: Instagram: @chloee.marshall Website: www.chloemarshallcoaching.com YouTube: Chloemarshall1 💌 For updates, future meditations, and offerings: Subscribe here Get full access to Aligned with Chloe at chloemarshallcoaching.substack.com/subscribe

When Everything Feels Like It’s Falling Apart… But It’s Actually Falling Into Place

In this episode, I’m talking about a season that I know so many of us experience, when everything feels like it’s falling apart, nothing is working, and you’re left questioning your own path, your decisions, and even yourself. I open up about my own journey through this, especially during my college years when I felt completely lost, stuck in the same cycles, and out of alignment with who I truly was. What I didn’t realize at the time was that those roadblocks I was experiencing, were actually redirecting me. If you’ve been feeling stuck, uncertain, or like nothing is working out the way you planned, this episode is here to ground you, support you, and remind you that you’re not alone. Inside this episode, we dive into: - Why you keep experiencing the SAME patterns (and what they’re trying to teach you) - How misalignment shows up as chaos, confusion, and constant resistance - The difference between overthinking vs. intuition, and how to actually trust your inner voice - How to recognize what feels like a “YES” or “NO” in your body - The role of faith and surrender when you can’t see what’s ahead - Simple, grounding tools you can use to get out of a spiral And one of the biggest reminders from this episode: What feels like everything falling apart… might actually be everything falling into place. And I have a special surprise… stay until the end for a short, calming visualization to help you feel more grounded, safe, and supported in whatever season you’re in. If it scares you… it might be the way

When I sat down to record this week’s episode of Aligned with Chloe, I actually had a completely different plan. I was going to record an educational episode about women’s health. But as I was sitting there thinking about what I wanted to talk about… something else just kept coming up for me. And I’ve been trying to listen to that more lately, that quiet feeling when something feels more present and more honest to share. One of my intentions with this podcast (and this space here) is to speak from the heart about the things I’m actually navigating in my life, not just what I think I should talk about. So instead of forcing the episode I originally planned, I followed that feeling. And the conversation turned into something really different. In this episode, I talk about fear, uncertainty, and what it’s actually felt like for me over the past year with leaving my corporate job, starting my holistic health coaching business, and putting myself out there online in ways that have honestly been really scary at times. I’ve been realizing lately that the things that feel the most aligned in our lives can also feel the most terrifying. But that doesn’t necessarily mean we’re on the wrong path. Sometimes it just means we’re stepping into something new. If you’re in a season of your life where things feel uncertain, or where you’re being asked to step outside of your comfort zone, I think you might resonate with this conversation. And if it resonates with you, feel free to share it with someone who might need this message too. I’m really grateful you’re here. 7. Your 20s shape the rest of your life

    Feb 14

Your 20s shape the rest of your life

I wasn’t planning for my first podcast episode to start like this, but here we are. My goal is simple: to be real and authentic. I’ve wanted to do a podcast for a long time, and I finally just said, “Screw it, I’m posting it.” It’s not perfect, but it comes from a place of truth, and that’s all that matters. Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy this video/audio of me brain-dumping after a conversation I had with my family recently. This episode is completely unscripted and off the cuff, just my thoughts coming to the surface. I’ve noticed this is when my best ideas and discoveries come to me, when I’m not prepared. My twin brother and I are both in our early 20s, and we always talk about how pivotal and important this time of life is. It’s so easy to follow society because that’s what everyone else is doing, and it’s hard not to stay on the same path. I’ve found my 20s to be very isolating and lonely at times. For most of my 20s, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I graduated college in 2024 and started working a corporate job in insurance… not exactly what I planned for myself. And while I was grateful for the opportunity and the experience, I also gained a lot of wisdom stepping into the “real world.” To be honest, I didn’t really like what I saw. I started struggling with my health while working that job, and I was newly sober. I never had a problem with alcohol, but I used it as a coping mechanism throughout college, either to “bring out myself and have fun” or to suppress uncomfortable emotions that were coming to the surface. So when I graduated and entered the workforce, I felt incredibly lost and confused. I was working a job I didn’t enjoy at all, and at the same time, I was forced to sit with myself in a way I never had before. In saying all of this, that season is what led me to find my purpose and my passion. I’ve always loved fitness and wellness, so I started doing endless amounts of research on my health and eventually stumbled across holistic health. Not only did it fascinate me, but it also helped heal multiple health conditions I was dealing with at the time. And I will say, it did not happen overnight. It took a lot of time and patience to truly uncover the root cause of what was going on within me. I’ll share more about that another time. In the video I posted, I talked about how your 20s are your “freedom era.” You have the freedom to discover yourself and truly figure out what you want to do with your life. Self-discovery in your 20s is crucial, and it will shape the rest of your life. I’m not saying self-discovery happens overnight. It’s something we do our whole lives. But I truly believe your 20s are where it begins. This is your freedom era!! This time is where you’re allowed to be lost, to try things, to change your mind, and to listen to yourself instead of the noise around you. Because our world is FULL of it now. Your 20s aren’t meant to be perfect. They’re meant to be honest. Honest about what feels right, what doesn’t, and who you’re becoming. I don’t want to wake up one day and realize I lived my life based on someone else’s timeline. I want to use this season to understand myself so I can create a life that actually feels like mine. I hope my story was able to inspire yours. With love, Chloe Get full access to Aligned with Chloe at chloemarshallcoaching.substack.com/subscribe
