EP18 Something's howling in the woods of Michigan

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?! Because we'd like to have a word. 🐺🌲 This week, we're investigating the Michigan Dogman, a seven-foot-tall, glowing-eyed, emotionally unstable forest puppy that's allegedly been terrorizing Michiganders since 1887. We've got traumatized lumberjacks, questionable sightings, a suspicious ten-year schedule, and a cryptid that desperately needs obedience school. Is it a werewolf? A misunderstood good boy? Or just a cryptid with absolutely no boundaries? Whatever it is, we're not petting that dog. Well... Jasmine might. Research rabbit holes we fell down... EP17 Villisca Axe Murder House: Somehow haunted is not the worst part?

An entire family wiped out. A crime scene so badly handled it basically became a town attraction before anyone remembered they were supposed to be investigating it. And more than a century later, we still have no idea who did it.This week, we’re heading to Villisca, Iowa, for the horrifying story of the Villisca Axe Murders.  We’re breaking down the Moore family and Stillinger girls, the night of the murders, the absolutely chaotic investigation, suspicious suspects, bizarre evidence, and the theories that have kept this case alive for over 100 years. And because apparently eight unsolved murders weren’t unsettling enough, the house is now considered one of the most haunted places in America. The subject matter is dark. The mystery is disturbing. Our ability to stay on topic is questionable at best. Welcome to Villisca. Research rabbit holes we went down... EP16 Our Cursed Episode and our Adventures to The Congress Plaza Hotel

Welcome to the Congress Plaza Hotel, one of Chicago’s most notoriously haunted hotels… and apparently a location that really did NOT want us talking about it. This episode was cursed from the start. Lost recordings, multiple re-records, technical problems, and enough frustration to make us question whether we should just take the hint. But we didn’t. Obviously. We’re digging into the history of the Congress Plaza and the spirits rumored to still wander its halls, from the tragedy of the 12th floor, to the mysterious sealed Room 666, and several haunted rooms you can actually book for the night. Was this episode genuinely cursed? Probably not. But after recording it this many times… we’re not ruling anything out. Welcome to the Congress Plaza Hotel. Please enjoy the episode because we are NEVER recording it again. Research rabbit holes we fell down... EP 15 Dr Death and the Very Complicated Right to Die

Content warning: This episode discusses suicide, assisted dying, terminal illness, and death. This week, we’re diving into the controversial life of Dr. Jack Kevorkian, better known as “Dr. Death.” From his homemade death machines and more than 100 assisted deaths to courtroom chaos, a murder conviction, and prison, Kevorkian forced America to confront one very complicated question: Who gets to decide when suffering becomes unbearable? We also look at physician-assisted dying today before heading to Las Vegas, where Jasmine shares her 2022 experience seeing Kevorkian’s infamous Volkswagen van and recreated office inside Zak Bagans’ Haunted Museum. Was Kevorkian a murderer, a pioneer, or something somewhere in between? RESOURCE RABBIT HOLES WE FELL DOWN... EP13 The Beeson Mansion: Victorian Grief Was a Lot

The Beeson Mansion in Niles, Michigan looks like a beautiful piece of history... Built in 1847, this historic home is tied to one of Michigan's most heartbreaking legends. A grieving mother. A family mausoleum. An infant whose tragic death inspired stories that have been passed down for more than 150 years. But how much of the legend is actually true? This week, we're separating fact from folklore as we dive into the real history of the Beeson family, the infamous mausoleum, and the ghost stories that refuse to die. Then, we take you with us inside the mansion for our own paranormal investigation to find out if the spirits of Bond Street are still making themselves known. Were the footsteps, voices, and strange experiences just an old house settling... or were we sharing the night with someone who never left? Grab your EMF detector (or your emotional support snack), and let's get haunted. RESEARCH RABBIT HOLES... EP12 Just a Spoonful of Murder

This week we're heading to Northern Michigan to uncover the chilling story of Mary McKnight, the woman newspapers dubbed the "Michigan Borgia" and the "Strychnine Saint." After the mysterious deaths of her brother, sister-in-law, and infant niece near Fife Lake in 1903, investigators uncovered a trail of suspicious deaths stretching across Michigan and spanning more than fifteen years. Was Mary one of America's first female serial killers? And did she really kill just for the chance to attend another funeral? Grab your favorite beverage and maybe politely decline any mystery capsules as we dive into one of Michigan's darkest true crime stories.  Spoiler alert: accepting medicine from Aunt Mary is officially off the table.  REASEARCH RABBIT HOLES...
