  1. Tired Of Pretending: God Can't Heal the Man You're Pretending to Be S2:EP2

Tired Of Pretending: God Can't Heal the Man You're Pretending to Be S2:EP2

Pretending is a full-time job. No days off. No benefits. No retirement plan. And some of us have been clocking in since we were kids. In this episode of the Words of Encouragement Podcast, Frankie Lubin (Mr. Made Different) continues the "Tired Of" series in honor of Men's Mental Health Month with an honest, man-to-man conversation about the mask so many of us wear — and what it's costing us to keep it on. This one is for the man who answers "I'm good, I'm blessed" on autopilot. The one carrying financial pressure at 2am that nobody knows about. The one who's lonely in a crowd, with a thousand contacts in his phone and no one he can really call. The one still fighting a habit he testified was gone. The man who buries his anger and calls it "just a little irritated." Frankie goes all the way back to Genesis — to Adam hiding in the garden — to show that pretending is the oldest move there is, and that shame has been teaching men to hide since the very beginning. He shares the story of DMX, a man who loved God out loud and fought real demons at the same time, and who became most real to people when he finally stopped pretending. And he opens up about his own struggle — honestly and without shame — because every man is carrying something, and the moment you get honest with yourself is the moment you can get honest with the world. Anchored in Genesis 3, Psalm 32, and James 5:16, this episode lands on one challenge for the week: confess it to God first, then find one trusted person to carry it with you. Because God can't heal the man you're pretending to be — only the man you really are. If you've been tired of holding the pose, this one's for you. ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 — Pretending is a full-time job 01:30 — Tired Of series / Men's Mental Health Month 02:24 — The masks we wear (the Pretend List) 07:00 — Adam in the garden: the original hiding 10:30 — DMX: real faith, real fight 15:05 — James 5:16 — confess and be healed 17:18 — The one thing to do this week 19:53 — Frankie's testimony: honesty without shame 20:05 — Closing prayer 🔍 Words of Encouragement Podcast, Frankie Lubin, Mr Made Different, Christian podcast for men, men's mental health month, tired of pretending, wearing a mask, Christian men struggling, DMX faith, Psalm 32, James 5:16, confession and healing, faith and addiction, men's encouragement, honest faith talk ——————————————— 🙏 JOIN FRANKIE'S MONDAY PRAYER GROUP — 8PM EST 👉 https://frankielubincoach.lovable.app 📲 FOLLOW FRANKIE https://instagram.com/iamfrankielubin ——————————————— #WordsOfEncouragement #MrMadeDifferent #MensMentalHealth #ChristianMen #TiredOfPretending #encouragementpodcast #encouragement

  2. Tired of Being Tired: For the Man Who Shows Up for Everyone But Himself S2:EP1

Tired of Being Tired: For the Man Who Shows Up for Everyone But Himself S2:EP1

I'm good. I'm blessed. I'm highly favored." You've said it this week. Maybe today. But what's the real answer — the one you only say when it's just you, God, and the road? This episode is for the man who's tired of being tired. The one who wakes up before the house does because the list already started. The one everybody calls when something breaks, who never complains, who's gotten so good at carrying it that people stopped asking if he's okay — they just hand him more. Frankie Lubin opens up about the exhaustion nobody names in men's spaces or church spaces: soul tired — the kind of tired that sleep doesn't fix. He walks through Galatians 6:9 slowly, and what he finds there isn't "push harder." Paul wasn't writing to men who were fine. He was writing to men who were already worn out. And the weariness isn't the failure — it's the warning light. In this episode: why your value got tied to what you produce, the fear hiding underneath the strength, why receiving from God feels like weakness (and why it's actually stewardship), what Matthew 11:28 means when Jesus says "I will GIVE you rest," and the moment Frankie had to say no to advice that didn't sit right with his spirit. You are not loved because of how much you carry. Sit with that one. It's Men's Mental Health Month — share this with a brother who's running on fumes and calling it faithfulness. 00:00 — The question nobody waits for the answer to 02:15 — The man who shows up for everyone 06:40 — Soul tired: the tired that rest doesn't fix 09:30 — "If I share my problems, nobody's gonna listen" 13:00 — Galatians 6:9 — read slowly 17:45 — The enemy's weapon isn't temptation, it's timing 21:10 — Learning to receive (Matthew 11:28) 25:00 — Made Different Moment: the episode I didn't want to shoot 29:00 — Prayer for the brother who feels behind ——————————————— 🙏 JOIN FRANKIE'S MONDAY PRAYER GROUP — 8PM EST 👉 https://frankielubincoach.lovable.app 📲 FOLLOW FRANKIE https://instagram.com/iamfrankielubin ——————————————— #WordsOfEncouragement #MrMadeDifferent #MensMentalHealth #ChristianMen #TiredOfBeingTired

Attention vs Assignment: Are You Posting From a Wound or a Well?

What happens inside of you when your post does not perform the way you thought it would? In this episode of the Words of Encouragement Podcast, Frankie Lubin, also known as Mr. Made Different, sits down with co-host Alexis Gillespie for a real conversation about social media, content strategy, validation, identity, and purpose. This is not just about the algorithm. This is about the deeper question underneath your content: are you posting from a wound or from a well? Are you creating because you have something real to give, or are you secretly looking for likes, views, and comments to confirm your value? Frankie and Alexis talk about the pressure to go viral, the temptation to chase attention, the danger of compromising your assignment, and how easy it is to let low views make you question yourself instead of just questioning the content. They also unpack what it means to stay consistent, stay faithful, and keep creating without letting social media become your mirror. If you are a creator, entrepreneur, podcaster, coach, influencer, or someone trying to build online without losing yourself, this conversation is for you. You don’t need more validation. You need identity. In this episode, we talk about: Social media validation Content strategy vs identity Posting from insecurity Attention vs assignment Why low views affect your confidence Chasing the algorithm Christian content creation Purpose-driven content Building without compromising Staying consistent when nobody is clapping Follow Frankie Lubin: @iamfrankielubin Follow Alexis Gillespie: @ruach.pnuema Do You Need Coaching or Prayer: https://frankielubincoach.lovable.app Check out Drip Juice Bar: https://dripjuicebar.square.site/ #WordsOfEncouragementPodcast #MadeDifferent #FrankieLubin #AttentionVsAssignment #ContentStrategy #ChristianContentCreator #SocialMediaValidation #PurposeDrivenContent #IdentityInChrist #StopChasingValidation #PodcastClips #FaithBasedPodcast #ApprovalAddiction #PeoplePleasing #MrMadeDifferent

He Finished The Race… But Still Needed Approval

In this powerful episode of the Words of Encouragement Podcast, Frankie Lubin, also known as Mr. Made Different, and co-host Alexis Gillespie sit down with JD Tremblay, an integrated engineer, ultra-endurance triathlete, certified natural path practitioner, volunteer firefighter, and Director of High Performance and Mental Resilience at Hungry Warrior Academy. JD shares the story behind completing the Epic Deca, an extreme endurance event involving 10 Ironman-distance races in 10 days across Hawaii. But the deeper story is not just about fitness, discipline, or endurance. It is about faith, obedience, pride, humility, fatherhood, and learning how to follow God when the instruction does not make sense. JD opens up about selling his house to obey what he believed God was calling him to do, completing one of the hardest endurance challenges in the world, then coming home to a season of being humbled, living around boxes on an air mattress, and wrestling with pride. He explains how God used the process to break his need for image, achievement, and self-reliance so his life could be used for a greater purpose. This conversation goes deep into: Obedience when God asks for something uncomfortable Why prayer still requires action How pride can hide inside high achievement Faith versus fear Fatherhood during difficult seasons Mental resilience and emotional discipline Nervous system regulation and clarity under pressure Why it is not about JD, but about JC Becoming the person who can finish what God placed in front of you JD also shares practical tools from Hungry Warrior Academy, including the DECA framework: discipline, energy regulation, capacity, and action. He explains why men must set their values straight, use the Bible as a sounding board, and stop making decisions only from emotion. This episode is for anyone who feels like God is calling them to do something uncomfortable, anyone battling pride, anyone trying to rebuild discipline, and anyone who needs encouragement to keep going even when the process does not look like the promise. You do not need more image. You need obedience, identity, and faith. 6. Stop letting the world approve who God already called you to be.

    May 14

Stop letting the world approve who God already called you to be.

Culture lied to you. It told you that success means looking rich. It told men they have to be tough, emotionless, and respected at all costs. It told women they have to be chosen, desired, married by a certain age, and valuable based on what they can attract. It told us to chase approval, image, money, popularity, relationships, and attention — while losing our identity in the process. In this episode of the Words of Encouragement Podcast, Frankie Lubin, also known as Mr. Made Different, and co-host Alexis Gillespie talk about culture approval, identity, faith, dating, masculinity, womanhood, social pressure, and the lies we accepted just to feel seen. Using John 5:44, we unpack a powerful question: How can we truly believe God when we are still chasing glory and approval from people? This conversation gets real about trying to impress others, wanting to be accepted, being influenced by culture, learning your worth, and choosing God’s truth over the world’s changing standards. You don’t need more validation. You need identity. Drop ROOTED in the comments if you are done letting culture define you. You’re Not Being Yourself… You’re Just Managing Perception

Let’s be real… some of us are not being ourselves. We’re managing perception. In this episode of the Words of Encouragement Podcast, Frankie Lubin, aka Mr. Made Different, and co-host Alexis Gillespie talk about identity, people-pleasing, code switching, authenticity, and the pressure to become a different version of yourself in every room. You start losing track of who you really are. This conversation is for the approval seekers, overthinkers, performers, and people-pleasers who are tired of living for validation. You don’t need more approval. You need identity.
