Christ Alone | Learning to Live Ep. 1

In the first episode of Learning to Live, we begin at the foundation of the Christian life: Christ alone. It is easy to reduce Christianity to becoming better, trying harder, avoiding sin, or maintaining the disciplines we believe a faithful Christian should practice. But the gospel begins somewhere far more radical—with the recognition that we cannot be our own source of life.We are not merely people who need improvement. Apart from Christ, we are spiritually bankrupt. And that is precisely why the gospel is such extraordinarily good news.In this study, we explore what it means to come to the end of self-reliance and recognize our complete dependence upon Jesus—not only for salvation, but for the entirety of the Christian life. We consider the difference between behavioral Christianity and genuine transformation, what our desires reveal about what we actually want from God, and why lasting faith does not ultimately draw its power from our ability to hold onto Christ, but from Christ Himself at work within us.Before we can learn how to live by faith, we first have to understand where Life comes from.Christ is not merely part of the Christian life. He is its source.Learning to Live — Episode 1Christ Alone: The Gospel & Spiritual Bankruptcy**Watch on YouTube: https://youtube.com/@hiddenthreadchannel?si=qdwZE7zYOR1hppG4 **If this study has been helpful, consider liking, subscribing, and sharing so others can walk through the series with us.**
