The contract expires March 31, 2031. Guard Jon Runyan and the Giants reached an agreement today on a two-year, $22 million extension that includes $21.5 million guaranteed, per his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Kyle Lincoln. The giants signed QB Jameis Winston to a two-year, $13 million extension. Rams WR Puka Nacua, who has been dealing with psoas soreness and also could be facing potential discipline under the NFL's personal conduct policy for previous off-the-field behavior, is expected to play in Week 1 vs. the 49ers. Patriots said RB TreVeyon Henderson officially didn't practice today due to an ankle injury. He hasn't practiced in two weeks. New England opens the season Wednesday night in Seattle. Tua Tagovailoa has been named the Falcons' starting quarterback for next Sunday's regular-season opener in Pittsburgh vs. the Steelers. Houston Rockets' Amen Thompson has agreed to a five-year, $208 million rookie-scale contract extension with the franchise. The new deal for Amen Thomson includes a 10% trade kicker. The Minnesota Timberwolves are trading Josh Green and cash to the Utah Jazz for Cody Williams and John Konchar. The Timberwolves are expected to keep Cody Williams, the No. 10 pick in 2024, and waive-and-stretch John Konchar, sources said. They found a home for Josh Green on a Jazz team that wanted an additional 3-and-D wing; moving his $14.7 million deal gives Minnesota the salary space to sign Jonathan Kuminga using the taxpayer midlevel exception, and a movie named Fall 2: Deadpoint.
