You Must Watch Coyote vs. Acme

We're back again with another unique episode of Below the Line Podcast. Due to Jesse's continued absence, this week is another special bonus episode as Dylan sits down to make the case for Ketchup Entertainment's Coyote vs. Acme. Fear not! Jesse will return soon. Eventually. We promise. We thank all of you for your patience during this unexpected hiatus. We know nobody wants to listen to a single host yap for over and hour, so we kept this episode short. The famed Looney Tunes feature film has had a tumultuous path to a theatrical release, including initially being scrapped by Warner Bros. for a simple tax write off. However, Ketchup Entertainment arrived to save the day and secured the distribution rights for Coyote vs. Acme. This week's conversation involves Dylan sitting down to discuss the film's comedy, overall quality, and the surprising philosophical question at the heart of the film. Does Coyote vs. Acme live up to the raving reactions seen from audiences during its initial test screenings? Join the Nobodies of Hollywood, or, should we say... Nobody of Hollywood for this week's conversation to find out. We hope you find this conversation entertaining and meaningful. Peace + Plants Produced by Maya. Mixed & mastered by Levi. The Odyssey Wrap Up & Obsession Discourse

Welcome back to Below the Line Podcast. Join the Nobodies of Hollywood for a special bonus episode. Before we resume our normal schedule, join the Nobodies of Hollywood as they sit down to discuss the toxic discourse surrounding this year's big horror hit: Obsession. The conversation involves the unproductive and toxic discourse that has been generated by the rabid fans of the film who are unable to separate their ideology from genuine film criticism. The Obsession discussion continues with a defense of actress Inde Navarette, who has been involved in a number of "controversies" since the film's release. The episode then takes a turn as the boys address some lingering thoughts on the epic two part episode on Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. We hope you find this conversation entertaining and meaningful. Produced by Maya. Mixed & mastered by Levi. The Living Odyssey | 3,000 Years of Translation, Tension, and Truth

In the most ambitious episode of Below the Line Podcast to date, we tackle The Odyssey not as a static text, but as a living, evolving story. Three hours and six minutes of raw obsession, where the gap between amateur deep dive and academic rigor disappears. Jesse sits down with an unexpectedly fluent expert to dissect the philosophy, the morals, and the enduring weight of Homer's epic. From the oral traditions of ancient Greece to the modern lens of Christopher Nolan's film adaptation, we explore why this story refuses to die and how every generation finds a different version of the truth. It's less of a lecture and more of a journey, one that proves the medium is the message, and the obsession is the point. Join the Nobodies of Hollywood as they sit down for the most in depth analysis of a film they've ever done. We can only hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it. It was truly a pleasure. Nightfall Media Press Release | An Update, A Needed Pause, and What's Next

Over the last few weeks, you've probably noticed the sudden silence in your feed. In this video, we share why the podcast has been on pause and what's been happening behind the scenes. Jesse is currently on personal leave. Out of respect for his privacy and to give everyone space, we stepped back from recording and releasing new episodes for a brief time. This isn't a "content" moment for us, it's a human one. We wanted to walk to you directly, explain what's been going on, and let you know what to expect moving forward. We'll be easing back into episodes as it feels right, and we're giving ourselves permission to go at a sustainable pace while we navigate this season. If you've stuck around, checked in, or just quietly waited for us to pop back up in your subscriptions, please know we see you and we're incredibly grateful. The Odyssey is A Generational Cinematic Experience

The most anticipated film of the year is here. In this week's episode, the Nobodies of Hollywood sit down and explore Christopher Nolan's interpretation of Homer's The Odyssey. They discuss the visual world building, cinematography, characters, performances, and the sheer ambitious nature of the production to create a modern day epic worthy of being shot entirely on IMAX cameras. Then, Jesse explains why this movie is one of the great films we've seen in modern cinema, and how The Odyssey is destined to be remembered decades from now. Additionally, the boys address some of the controversies that plagued the film ahead of its release, while also hinting at peeling back the deeper layers in a second episode that is yet to come. The first half of our two part Odyssey conversation ends with an impassioned monologue from Dylan about why it is pivotal to adapt the great stories of the Western canon. We hope you find this conversation entertaining and meaningful. Peace + Plants Produced by Maya. Mixed & mastered by Levi. Spider-Noir is a Perfect Spider-Man Story

A city drenched in rain, a hero obscured by shadows, and a truth that's better left buried. In this episode, the Nobodies of Hollywood step into the monochrome world of Spider-Noir to see if the gritty aesthetic masks a deeper story, or if it's all just smoke and mirrors. We're shaking down the tropes, tracing the webs of a hard boiled New York, and figuring out if this version of the wall crawler actually has the teeth to survive the gutter. Pull up a chair and pour a drink, it's time to find out who's really pulling the strings in the city of shadows. We hope you find this conversation entertaining and meaningful. Supergirl is Tragically Soulless

This week's conversation returns to everyone's favorite topic: comic book movies. Join the Nobodies of Hollywood as they discuss the questionable start to the DCU and James Gunn's vision. Supergirl arrives with a lot of expectations, but the result is a film that feels more like a corporate checklist than a coherent story. From a third act buried in muddy visuals to a baffling needle drop that misses the mark, we break down where the movie falters and why it feels so hollow. Plus, we dive into whether this film is a symptom of a larger identity crisis within the new DCU and if James Gunn's focus on the fringes is leaving the heavy hitters in the dust. We even tackle the unthinkable: is a polarizing vision actually better than no vision at all? We hope you find this conversation entertaining and meaningful. Peace + Plants Produced by Maya. Disclosure Day is the Culmination of Spielberg's Lifelong Obsession

This week's conversation is true a celebration of cinema. The episode begins with a brief tangent about the Knicks recent NBA Championship and Dylan once again defending Timothée Chalamet before transitioning into the main topic of discussion. Disclosure Day isn't just a return to the science fiction blockbuster for Steven Spielberg; it's a culmination of his work as a filmmaker. The Nobodies of Hollywood dive into why this feels like Spielberg's most personal reckoning with the extraterrestrial and the lifelong obsessions that have defined his career. Beyond the legacy, we're cutting through the generational noise and the lazy "boomer" critiques to ask a bigger question: why is intellectual curiosity becoming a casualty of modern film criticism? We hope you find this conversation entertaining and meaningful. Peace + Plants Produced by Maya. Mixed & mastered by Levi.
