From Heartbreak to Hope: Terry Warner on Finding Peace, Restoring Faith, and a Lifetime of Serving God

What happens when childhood pain, anger, loss, and disappointment shape your life—but faith ultimately leads you toward a peace you never thought possible? On this powerful episode of Jenny’s Safe Space, we welcome Terry Warner, a Vietnam veteran, husband, father, writer, podcaster, and devoted Christian who has spent more than 54 years serving in ministry. Terry’s journey began with the anger and rebellion he experienced after his parents divorced when he was just 11 years old. Taking on adult responsibilities at a young age, he learned early how difficult life could be. After joining the Army, Terry served in Vietnam, where he experienced three near-death situations. Returning home, he faced the painful breakdown of his marriage and the loss of daily contact with his two-year-old son. Yet, in the midst of these heartbreaking experiences, Terry says God changed his life and helped him discover lasting peace through Jesus Christ. Today, Terry has built a family through marriage and adoption and continues to share his faith through podcasting, writing a weekly religious newspaper, and teaching Bible study at a local prison. His story offers a meaningful perspective on forgiveness, resilience, fatherhood, spiritual transformation, and the hope that faith can bring during life's most difficult seasons. In this heartfelt conversation, we explore how Terry moved from anger to peace, what more than five decades of ministry have taught him, and why he remains committed to sharing God's message with others. From Stage Fights to Kickass Heroines: Zac Baldwin on Breaking the Rules and Telling Stories His Way

What happens when you refuse to follow the path everyone expects you to take? In this exciting episode of Jenny’s Safe Space, we sit down with writer, director, performer, stuntman, and novelist Zac Baldwin for a conversation filled with creativity, adventure, persistence, and plenty of unforgettable stories. Zac’s journey began with a childhood fascination with Fred Astaire that led him into dance, choreography, theater, and eventually live-action stunt work. From choreographing Old West stagecoach robberies and barroom brawls to working on micro-budget horror films and appearing as a villain on Rescue 911, Zac has never been afraid to try something different. His Hollywood journey also taught him an important lesson about staying true to his creative vision. At a time when female-led action stories weren’t getting the attention he believed they deserved, Zac refused to simply change his characters to fit what studios wanted. Instead, he took his stories to the world of novels. His latest novel, The Legend of Johnnie Swann, features a formidable female protagonist and draws inspiration from the real-life stories of Vietnam veterans Zac knew personally. He brings those experiences together with a fighting style he developed and taught decades ago, creating a story rooted in both imagination and lived experience. In this conversation, Zac shares what it means to build a creative life on your own terms, why vulnerable heroes can be more compelling than invincible ones, the importance of female representation in action stories, and how years of unexpected experiences can become the ingredients for great storytelling. Tune in to Jenny’s Safe Space for a fun, inspiring conversation about creativity, courage, storytelling, Hollywood, resilience, and having the confidence to tell the stories you believe deserve to be heard.
