    Episode 30: Bucket Lists

What’s on your bucket list when you’re 50…or 60? And what happens when you start checking those dreams off the list? In this episode of Just Us Sisters, we’re talking all things bucket list—what we’ve already experienced, what’s still waiting for us, and the adventures we may add along the way. As sisters in our 50s and 60s, we’ve learned that a bucket list isn’t just about someday. It’s about saying yes to the opportunities in front of us, stepping outside our comfort zones, making memories, and sometimes doing things that make us wonder, “What were we thinking?!” We take a look back at some of the adventures we’ve already crossed off our lists, including traveling, mission trips, Tough Mudder endurance challenges, and even skydiving for one of us! These experiences have pushed us physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and given us stories we’ll be telling for years to come. But our lists aren’t finished yet. There are still dreams we haven’t checked off, including skydiving for one sister who hasn’t taken the leap…yet! We talk about the things we still hope to experience, the places we want to see, and the challenges that continue to call our names. And because a bucket list is always evolving, we also have fun dreaming about what might be added in the future. Some ideas are adventurous, some are meaningful, and some are simply about enjoying life, spending time together, and creating memories with the people we love. Join us for a fun and honest conversation about adventure, courage, sisterhood, and making the most of the years we have. Whether you already have a bucket list, have crossed off half of yours, or haven’t written one down yet, we hope this episode inspires you to think about what’s still out there waiting for you. Because you’re never too old to dream, try something new, or add another adventure to the list! Just Us Sisters — four sisters, plenty of stories, and a whole lot more life to live.

    Episode 28: Hobbies

What do fishing, learning Spanish, baking, decorating, and a whole lot of other seemingly unrelated activities have in common? They’re the hobbies that make us us! 🎣📚🧁   In this episode of Just Us Sisters, we’re talking all about hobbies — the things we choose to do simply because we enjoy them, the things that challenge us, and the activities that give us a chance to grow, create, connect, or just get away from it all.   We each share some of our favorite hobbies, including fishing, learning Spanish, baking and decorating, and more. But we’re not just talking about what we like to do — we’re exploring why we enjoy these hobbies and what we get out of them. Some give us a creative outlet, some help us learn something new, some get us outdoors, and others give us a much-needed break from the everyday hustle.   We also admit that not every hobby is a winner! We chat about hobbies we thought we would love but discovered just weren’t for us. Because sometimes the fun is in trying something new — even if you ultimately decide, “Yeah…that’s not my thing.” 😂   One of the things we love most about hobbies is how different they can be. Some bring people together and create a sense of community, friendship, and shared experiences. Others are best enjoyed alone, offering quiet, solitude, and time to recharge. There’s something special about both.   So whether you’re a lifelong hobbyist, someone who has a dozen interests at once, or someone still trying to figure out what you enjoy doing in your free time, come hang out with us as we talk about the hobbies that bring us joy, the ones that didn’t quite stick, and why making time for the things we love really matters.   Pull up a chair and join Just Us Sisters for a conversation about fun, fulfillment, creativity, connection, and finding a little more time for the things that make life enjoyable. 💕

    Episode 26: Challenges & Blessings of Being Single (40s, 50s & 60s Edition)

What does it really look like to be single in your 40s, 50s, or 60s? In this episode of Just Us Sisters, four sisters sit down with three special guests—each representing a different decade—to have an honest, encouraging, and sometimes humorous conversation about the realities of being single later in life.   We talk about the challenges of meeting someone at this stage of life, from navigating dating and relationships to wondering where all the eligible people are! But being single isn’t just about what can be difficult. There are also genuine blessings that come with having your own life, your own schedule, and the freedom of not being accountable to anyone else.   From a Christian perspective, we explore the expectations and pressures that can come with being single. What does faith say about relationships, marriage, contentment, and waiting? How do our expectations change as we get older, and how do we reconcile what we hoped our lives would look like with where God has us today?   Our guests share wisdom and perspective from their own experiences, including what they would tell their younger selves if they could go back in time. We also ask a revealing question: Has your “ideal person” changed over the years? What we thought we wanted in our 20s may look very different in our 40s, 50s, and 60s!   Whether you're single, married, dating, divorced, widowed, or simply curious about what life looks like on the other side of the relationship timeline, this conversation is filled with honesty, laughter, faith, wisdom, and plenty to think about.   Come join Just Us Sisters for a real conversation about the challenges, blessings, expectations, and unexpected joys of being single at every stage of life.
