She Rode 19 Countries Alone… Out of Spite - Jade Rides | JUSTRIDE Podcast Ep.18

What happens when someone who once struggled with severe anxiety decides to get on a motorcycle and just keep going? In this episode of the JUSTRIDE Podcast, we're joined by motorcycle traveller, reviewer and content creator Jade Rides. Jade has ridden motorcycles across 22 countries, including an epic solo journey through 19 countries to Georgia and back. But, as we discover, the reason that adventure started wasn't quite what you'd expect… “It was completely out of spite.” 😂 We talk about how motorcycling helped Jade deal with anxiety and build confidence, travelling alone across Europe, tackling the Stella Alpina, riding the Wild Atlantic Way and Pyrenees, and why sometimes the best approach to motorcycle travel is to stop overplanning and just go. Jade also tells us the incredible story of finding a tiny puppy at the side of the road in Kosovo, putting her in a tank bag and eventually bringing not one — but TWO — rescue dogs home. We also get into: 🏍️ Going from a Suzuki VanVan to riding across 22 countries 🌍 Solo motorcycle travel and overcoming anxiety 🐶 Rescuing Lucky and Max while travelling 🏁 Riding the Norton Manx R on track 🇮🇸 Testing the new Norton Atlas in Iceland 🎥 The reality of becoming a motorcycle content creator 💛 Jade and Street Twin Kim's work with Endo Riders 🇳🇵 Plans for a future women's motorcycle trip to Nepal ⚡ The future of motorcycling, electric bikes and emerging manufacturers ⛺ Why Jade thinks some motorcycle-specific camping gear is… “crap” It's funny, open and at times incredibly personal and one of those conversations that reminds you just how much motorcycling can change someone's life. IntrusiveRiders Are Back! North Yorkshire, Group Rides & What’s Next | JUSTRIDE Podcast Ep.17

Danny & Shelley from  @Intrusiveriders  are back on the JUSTRIDE Podcast — but this time, they made the trip down from Scotland to join us in person. After a full day riding some of our favourite roads across North Yorkshire, including the Helmsley TT, Blakey Ridge and Saltburn, we headed back to the studio for a proper catch-up. We talk about their incredible Land’s End to John O’Groats charity ride, raising £4,500 for Andy’s Man Club and Mental Health Motorbike, the reality of creating content while covering huge miles, and what they’ve got planned next. We also put JUSTRIDE through one of our biggest real-world Group Navigation tests yet, with the whole group using the app throughout the day — giving us plenty of feedback, laughs and a few things we hadn’t even spotted ourselves. And Danny & Shelley reveal an early idea for their next challenge… involving roughly 3,000 miles around the coast of Scotland, Ireland and England. How CFMOTO Is Taking On the Biggest Motorcycle Brands | JUSTRIDE Podcast Ep.16

CFMOTO has quickly become one of the most talked-about motorcycle brands in the UK but what’s really behind that growth? In this episode of the JUSTRIDE Podcast, we sit down with Jazz and Harry Hinkley from CFMOTO UK to talk about taking on some of the biggest names in motorcycling, changing perceptions around Chinese-built bikes and building a brand that’s quickly becoming impossible to ignore. We get into the success of bikes like the 450MT, why CFMOTO believes it can challenge the established manufacturers, the importance of dealer support and parts availability, and what the future could look like for the brand. Harry also takes us behind the scenes of racing Red Bull Romaniacs, tells us about his rather impressive garage — including a CR500 AF, Husqvarna 300, SLAM 250, GasGas trials bike and KX250 — and explains why apparently the answer to most off-road problems is simply to “gas it out.” We also chat about: - CFMOTO’s huge growth in the UK - Taking on the established motorcycle brands - Why the 450MT has been such a success - Harry’s Red Bull Romaniacs experience - Jazz & Harry’s approach to marketing CFMOTO - How the CFMOTO story started with agriculture and ATVs - Changing perceptions of Chinese motorcycles - Becoming number one in the UK four-wheel market - ABR Festival chaos, racing and plenty of stories along the way - And what it’s like working, riding and building a business together as husband and wife A proper mix of motorcycles, racing, business and the personalities behind one of the fastest-growing brands in the industry. The Road to a Morocco Rally with Anna aka Footpegs | JUSTRIDE Podcast Ep.15

Just three years ago, Anna Maria Gilbert — better known as Footpegs — had never ridden a motorcycle. Eight months after getting into riding she was already discovering the world of off-road, and now she's preparing for her biggest challenge yet: a multi-day rally raid across Morocco. And she's doing it while living with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS) and hypermobility. In this episode of the JUSTRIDE Podcast, Anna joins us alongside Adam to talk about her rapid journey into motorcycling, discovering adventure riding, learning to ride off-road and why she seems incapable of saying no to a challenge. But there's a much bigger reason behind her upcoming Morocco adventure. After spending years knowing something wasn't quite right and eventually receiving her PoTS diagnosis, Anna is using the rally to raise money and awareness for PoTS UK — helping support others who may still be fighting to be heard or searching for answers. Anna is refreshingly realistic about the challenge. Five consecutive days of riding across demanding terrain will push her physically, and she openly admits she doesn't know whether her body will allow her to reach the finish. But she's going to give it everything. 🏍️ SUPPORT ANNA'S MOROCCO CHALLENGE Donate to Anna's fundraiser for PoTS UK https://www.justgiving.com/page/footpegs Every £5 donated also gives you an entry into Anna's charity raffle, with prizes donated by some brilliant motorcycle and adventure brands. 📲 FOLLOW ANNA / FOOTPEGS Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/f.ootpegs/ ❤️ LEARN MORE ABOUT PoTS https://www.justgiving.com/charity/potsuk In this episode we talk about: - Going from horses to motorcycles - Getting her motorcycle licence and riding to Spain just months later - Discovering off-road and adventure riding - Training for a rally raid across Morocco - Living and riding with PoTS - Hypermobility and managing energy levels - The long journey to getting a diagnosis - Why she's raising money for PoTS UK - Building the stamina needed for consecutive days off-road - Motorcycle kit, bike setup and finding the right adventure bike - Spain, Morocco and their favourite places to ride - Why sometimes the best adventures start with absolutely no plan A brilliant conversation about motorcycles, adventure, determination and doing the things you love — even when you can't guarantee how they'll turn out. In this episode of the JUSTRIDE Podcast, we discover how they met, why they chose a bungee jump for their first date and how their honest approach to motorcycle content has connected with riders across the UK. Shelley talks openly about her journey as a relatively new rider, including the mistakes, confidence struggles and advanced training that have helped her become safer and more confident on the bike. We also discuss cornering, target fixation, changing motorcycles, trusting your tyres and why riders should never feel pressured to prove themselves.
