DOLLY Gets an Airport, DJT Gets Code & Tom Tiffany Goes In Lake! | A Flight Attendant W/An Opinion

Get your Coffee, Get your Tea and GET YOUR LIFE! ☕️✈️ Welcome back to A Flight Attendant W/An Opinion, where we talk aviation, travel, safety, airplanes, and the stories happening in the skies — from the perspective of someone who has actually worked in the cabin. This week, we have A LOT to talk about! 👀✈️ 🎤 DOLLY PARTON & BNA Nashville International Airport is beginning the process of modifying its name in honor of Dolly Parton. The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority voted unanimously on September 11 to begin that process. The final name has not yet been determined. ✈️ DJT — YES, THAT'S AN AIRPORT CODE! Palm Beach International Airport has officially been updated in FAA charts and databases as President Donald J. Trump International Airport (DJT), effective July 9, 2026. The FAA says its role was to update the aviation charts and databases rather than approve the name change. 😳 TOM TIFFANY'S EMERGENCY WATER LANDING Wisconsin Rep. Tom Tiffany and the pilot of a Beechcraft K35 survived an emergency water landing on Lake Wausau after the aircraft lost power while approaching Wausau Downtown Airport. Tiffany and the pilot exited the aircraft as it began to submerge and swam toward shallow water. The FAA is investigating. 🛫 TIP OF THE WEEK: BUCKLE UP! Here's your reminder from your favorite flight attendant: Keep that seatbelt buckled whenever you're seated. Turbulence can happen unexpectedly — even when the skies look perfectly clear. ✈️ AIRCRAFT OF THE WEEK: THE AIRBUS A220 We're talking about the little jet with a BIG personality — including Delta's famous A220 configuration featuring a window in the lavatory! Yes… a window in the bathroom. 😂 Delta itself highlighted the feature when introducing the A220. And finally… ❤️ HONORING THE CREW: CAPTAIN RICHARD “LEE” TYSINGER This week, we honor Captain Richard “Lee” Tysinger, a longtime Delta Air Lines pilot who passed away August 29, 2026, at age 87. Captain Tysinger served Delta from 1968 to 1997 and spent 12 years as a 727 and 767 Chief Instructor Pilot. We remember his years of service, leadership, and contribution to aviation. Because aviation isn't just about the airplanes. It's about the people who fly them, maintain them, work inside them, and make sure we get home safely. ❤️✈️ So grab your coffee, grab your tea, and get comfortable… Because I have an opinion. 😉 I'm Lisa Renee, and this is A Flight Attendant W/An Opinion. #AFlightAttendantWithAnOpinion #LisaRenee #Aviation #AviationNews #AirlineNews #FlightAttendant #FlightAttendantLife #TravelNews #AirTravel #AviationSafety #TravelTips #DollyParton #BNA #NashvilleInternationalAirport #DJT #PalmBeachInternationalAirport #TomTiffany #AirbusA220 #DeltaAirLines #PilotLife #AviationHistory #HonoringTheCrew #CaptainLeeTysinger #AirlineIndustry #TravelTalk #GetYourCoffeeGetYourTeaGetYourLife
