Episode 35 - Midterm Finale & The All SA Episode

CONTENT WARNING! Frank and open discussion on Sexual Assault. Here we go! Down to the wire. It is not hyperbole to say the state of the country and therefore the world is at stake in these Midterm elections, taking place this coming Tuesday, November 3rd. This episode, we turn our attention to races in Alaska, California, North Carolina, Iowa, and Michigan. Three Senate seats that are potential flips from Republican to Democrat, and one which the Democrats must hold in order to get that all important Senate majority. In addition, we went through our backlog of news items from the past month and noticed a large number of high profile sexual assault cases. From Clavicular, to the Cornell Rapists, and a story largely buried by our right wing media where a Democrat candidate for the Arizona's 6th Congressional District was assaulted by a MAGA criminal while putting up campaign signs, we're covering this past month in Republican sex crimes. Along with all this, we discuss Trump and Putin's diesel distraction deal, Republican incompetence causing a botched execution via lethal injection, a little more gun control discussion, and we also manage to squeeze in a story about another recent ICE shooting, this time in New York, which left an innocent man with a bullet in his back and denied medical attention. Thank you once again for joining us each and every week for your weekly hour of woke content that keeps you informed and focused on the fight against fascism! Episode 34 - More Midterms & The Magnanimous AI Ghost

Welcome back! This week, the boys continue their analysis of the most important Midterm elections in American history, with the states of Texas, Maine, South Carolina, and New Hampshire. And because thinking about the best ways to beat fascism isn't the only thing they do, they're gonna talk about interesting stuff they've been watching lately, like Lanterns and Digger. They even find a little time to squeeze in a discussion about one of the weirdest recent court cases in this hellscape we call earth, where an AI version of a manslaughter victim shows up during sentencing to forgive his killer. An act which earns commendation from the judge, who passes along the maximum sentence anyway, which then causes a court of appeals to reverse his decision for some reason. Thinking this all over nearly drives the guys insane, and now you have to deal with it too! Happy Almost-Halloween! Thanks for tuning in week after week and doing your part to put this crooked world to rights. As always, WokeCast is the very definition of Independent Media. Episode 33 - Midterm Madness!

The Midterms are finally upon us! Potentially the last chance to salvage what's left of the United States goes down in just a few weeks, so WokeCast is laser focused and every single cast member has come down with an incurable case of Midterm Madness! For the first of our Midterm Madness episodes we focus on Ohio, Georgia, Kansas, Nebraska, Alabama, and Arizona, along with some general chat about the numbers we need to gain a Fetterman-proof majority in the Senate. While not directly midterm relevant, we've also got a lot to say about the Elephant Graveyard's takedown on the Joe Rogan-verse, and the current trend of people abandoning right wing media podcast shills. All this plus lots of talk about the MLB playoffs and the first quarter of the NFL season! As always, be sure to check out our website WokeCast.com and give us a follow on our only official social media presence, on Blue Sky and Spoutible!

Episode 32 - Last Stop Before Midterm Town

It's the last episode before we lock in and really focus on the midterms, so we decided to play catch up with a bunch of stories we had yet to cover. First, we're gonna have our discussion about the latest offering from the MCU, Brand New Day. A weird, soulless film that may have been written by an AI in an attempt to manufacture consent for mass surveillance. Next, we go over a bizarre ruling from a federal judge that will clear the way for AI to craft sexually explicit images or videos of minors. Who wants this? And how exactly does an AI produce something like this? Then, a couple of basketball stories, starting with all the trouble the LA Clippers are in as they attempted to fraud their way to more money for Kawhi Leonard. And the newest right wing grifter, NBA wash out Enes Kanter, attempts to cling to relevancy by making a scene at WNBA games. After that, we're going to talk a bit about one of ICE's latest victims, Pierre Damas Bel, a 20 year old college kid in Ohio who was dehumanized by the Republican's Gestapo and took his own life. Finally, we discuss a recent report from the UN which says we have failed to stop temperatures from reaching critical levels as outlined in the Paris Climate Accords, what it means for the future, and seeing the results of climate change in action as flooding devastates Nepal. Thank you once again for joining us each and every week for your weekly hour of woke content that keeps you informed and focus on the fight against fascism! While they chew and digest, they also find time to chat about the recent passing of a number of unique, talented, and beloved artists who each worked to make our lives more magical and interesting. They also dive into a few current video game topics, like the Trump administration's weird, racist, and poorly made flash games on the White House's official government website, and the move to end physical game discs, making gaming consoles digital-download only. Of course, with football season kicking off, the guys want to discuss what they expect from the NFL along with teams, players, and storylines they'll be following. Episode 30 - Lindsay Clancy

Welcome back! Sorry for the down time, but to catch up, we'll be putting out a couple rapid fire episodes, so stay on your toes! This week, the boys in the studio return for love of the game and avoid celebrating another episode milestone instead focusing on a few major stories that have gripped the headlines. First we do a little military talk, starting with the USS Lincoln finally making it to a port after 280 days at sea. We talk about the conditions onboard and Trump's fake AI images to try and refute the suffering he's caused our troops. Then we get into the story of John Klinner, an airman killed in Iran whose wife and young children were denied the benefits he earned as Trump and Hesgeth attempt to hide behind a technicality. After that, we spend a good chunk of time talking about the cast of the upcoming 2028 X Men movie, along with the history of X Men movies and the actors portraying our favorite mutants. Finally, we spend the majority of the episode discussing the Lindsay Clancy case and newly reached verdict, and the possibility that the support she received was actually an intentional astro-turfed campaign by right wingers desperate to get this country talking about anything besides Trump's many, many, MANY failures. Episode 28 - Summer Blues

This week the boys in the studio stave off the dog days of summer by depressing each other with talk of all sorts of modern horrors. Domestic airline flight prices shoot through the roof. Trump embezzling the Venezuela oil piracy money. The Boston Celtics blowing up their burgeoning dynasty because capitalism. And the latest rounds of fatal violence by ICE. But, to balance it all out, we also dive into a fun and exciting aspect of summer that fills us all with hope and optimism; football training camp! Rich reports live from Patriots training camp in Foxboro to chat the upcoming season and how the team looks so far.
