Church Was Never Meant to Be About You | Pastor Evan Carmichael

What does it look like to move from simply consuming church to taking ownership in the church? In this message, we look at the difference betw3een being a consumer and being a contributor. Consumers ask, “What can I get?” Contributors ask, “What can I give?” Following Jesus means more than simply receiving. We are called to serve, take ownership, and help build up the body of Christ. 📖 Scriptures: 1 Timothy 5:17–18 Ephesians 4:11–13 Mark 10:45 In this message: • Consumers ask, “What can I get?” • Contributors ask, “What can I give?” • Contributors take ownership. Jesus didn’t come to be served, but to serve and give His life for others. As followers of Christ, we are called to live with that same heart of service. “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 #AriseChurch #FromConsumerToContributor #Serve #Discipleship #Church #Faith #Jesus
