Jennifer Miller Gutierrez | Fitness, Travel, VHS Collections, and Sleep Scores

Welcome to the Keep Riding the Wave Podcast where we discuss the ups and downs of life, along with everything in between. Sometimes we feel like we are riding high, carving out the perfect wave. Other times, it feels like we are stuck in the whitewash, unable to advance or make progress. This is the journey of life that we all navigate. On this podcast we discuss just that, life.  Today I’m joined by a very special guest, Jennifer Miller Gutierrez. Jennifer grew up in Winona and over the first part of her life she has traveled far and wide. Jennifer is one of the most well-versed individuals I know. Her curiosity and explorations of life took full flight in her teen years when she attended boarding school at the Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California. Her next stop was Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where she earned degrees in Economics and Chinese.  Jennifer currently serves as Global General Manager at RTP Company, a family-owned composite manufacturing company headquartered in Winona. However, her professional commitments and pursuits don’t stop there. She is also President of Saint Croix, a luxury knitwear company that is homegrown and began knitting handcrafted luxury over 65 years ago right here in the Mississippi River Valley.  Jennifer’s work takes her around the world, but her travels have only reinforced her gratitude for growing up in a small town. Her parents instilled community-focused values. Jennifer and her husband, Jonathan, were blessed with two young children, Veronica and Thomas. In her free time Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new golf courses, traveling, reminiscing of the 1990s golden era of youth, and being a tortured Minnesota Vikings fan. Let’s welcome Jennifer to the Keep Riding the Wave Podcast.

Mollee Bjerke | Navigating Nutrition as a Parent

Welcome to the Keep Riding the Wave Podcast where we discuss the ups and downs of life, along with everything in between. Sometimes we feel like we are riding high, carving out the perfect wave. Other times, it feels like we are stuck in the whitewash, unable to advance or make progress. This is the journey of life that we all navigate. On this podcast we discuss just that, life.  Today I’m joined by a special guest. By profession she’s an educator and professional photographer. At home she’s a wife and mother of three beautiful young girls. On the field and court she’s an athletic coach. I often wonder how she gets it all done and then repeats this day after day. Today’s guest is my sister Mollee. Since the time we were in high school, Mollee was able to do it all, while making it look easy and effortless. It’s back-to-school season and there is no better time to talk about how we make healthy eating a priority amidst the chaos that comes with this time of year. In today’s episode, Mollee and I discuss a variety of nutritional challenges presented to busy parents. We break things down into two separate subcategories, both how parents may struggle with their own personal nutrition, as well as providing nutritious options for their children. We hope you find this to be a valuable discussion that provides some new tools in your healthy eating toolbox. Let’s welcome Mollee Bjerke to the Keep Riding the Wave Podcast.
