Two Years After Losing My Husband. What Healing Actually Looks Like Now.

A grief memoir podcast episode about why closure is not what healing looks like after losing a spouse, the guilt of wanting good things again, and why curiosity about your own future is not a betrayal of the love you lost. Season 3 begins. Curiosity is not a betrayal. LTP Hope wrote that in her memoir before she ever said it out loud to anyone. It took her two years to actually believe it. And she is opening Season 3 with it because it is the truest thing she knows right now. For a long time she thought healing meant closure. Like there was a door somewhere and eventually she would walk through it and grief would be behind her, filed away, done. She does not believe that anymore. In this Season 3 premiere she walks through what actually shifted things. The moment she laughed at a friend's house eight months after Tim passed and immediately felt guilty for it. The flinch every time something good happened. The small daily practice of letting herself finish a sentence that started with I wonder if. The day she finally sat down and looked at her retirement account, updated her beneficiaries, called a financial advisor, and let the future feel real on paper for the very first time. She also talks about what curiosity after loss actually looks like in practice. Not as a concept. As a daily choice. And about the Season 3 phrase that came from two years of living this honestly. Carry the love. Build the life. This episode covers: Why closure after losing a spouse is not what healing actually looks likeThe guilt of laughing and wanting good things after griefWhat curiosity after loss really means and why it is not a betrayalRebuilding life after the death of a husband one small honest step at a timeWhy staying curious about your own future honors the love you sharedThe practical financial steps that made the future feel real after spousal lossMoving forward with grief not away from itThe difference between moving on and moving forward after spousal lossWhat carry the love build the life actually means in practice. For anyone navigating life after losing a spouse, rebuilding after grief, feeling guilty for wanting good things again, or wondering if it is okay to be curious about your own future. Episode 11: Life After Losing a Spouse: What Healing Really Looks Like?

As this season comes to a close, I just want to take a moment to breathe… and to thank you.   Thank you for listening, for sitting with these stories, for holding space for love and loss, and for walking with me through another chapter of healing. When I first started this journey, I wasn’t sure if I could speak these memories out loud. But somehow, each time I did….it made room for peace.   This season has been about grace, the kind that comes slowly, quietly. The kind that teaches us we can laugh again, love again, and still honor the ones we’ve lost. It’s about the people who stayed, the faith that carried us, and the small moments that remind us we’re still here for a reason.   You and I, we’ve learned that goodbye doesn’t mean the end. It means learning to listen for love in new ways, in the stillness, in the laughter that returns, in the courage to begin again.   As I close this season, my prayer is simple: that you keep finding light in unexpected places. That you never stop believing your heart can heal. And that, even on the hardest days, you remember love never leaves. It just stays close, in ways we can’t always see.   Thank you for letting me share my story. And thank you for letting it become part of yours.   Until next time… This is LTP Hope reminding you that when goodbye comes too early, love is what helps us begin again.   Season 3 is about what comes next. About the life that is still ahead. About the woman who is still becoming. About the love that does not end. It just finds new ways. Episode 10: When Does The Loneliness After Losing a Spouse Finally Lift? My Honest Answer.

A grief memoir podcast episode about when the loneliness after losing a spouse finally lifts, finding peace after grief, coming home to yourself after loss, and the quiet grace that slowly turns pain into purpose.   It is one of the most searched questions in grief. And one of the hardest to answer honestly.   When does the loneliness finally lift?   Not the kind people see from the outside. But the quiet kind. The kind that fills every room of a house that used to hold two people. The kind that sits beside you at dinner and follows you to bed and wakes up with you before you even open your eyes.   In this episode LTP Hope shares her honest answer. About the rooms that carried Tim's memory as pain before they carried it as peace. About environmental grief and why the spaces you shared together feel so different after loss. About the evening she sat quietly with a cup of tea and realized she was not waiting for anything anymore.   And about the slow sacred moment when she knew she had finally found her way home. Not to a house. To herself.   This episode covers: • When the loneliness after losing a spouse finally begins to lift • Environmental grief and why the rooms feel different after loss • Finding peace after grief without forgetting the one you loved • Coming home to yourself after spousal loss • Widow recovery and rediscovering your identity after grief • How a loved one's memory transforms from pain into peace • What grace really looks like on the other side of the hardest season • Becoming whole again one quiet moment at a time   Foranyone searching for peace after grief, widow loneliness, finding yourself after losing a husband, grief closure, or proof that coming home to yourself after loss is truly possible. Episode 9: To the Woman Who Thinks She Can’t Survive.

A grief memoir podcast episode about writing a letter to yourself after loss, grief journaling for widows, self compassion after spousal bereavement, and what LTP Hope would say to the woman who sat in that hospital room holding her husband’s hand. Sometimes healing does not look like a big breakthrough. Sometimes it looks like a small piece of paper. A note you write to yourself in the middle of the storm so that one day, when you look back, you will remember how far you have come. In this episode LTP Hope shares one of the most quietly powerful tools in her grief healing journey. Writing letters. To the woman she was before. To the woman she is becoming. And to the future version of herself who will one day read those words and realize that grace was carrying her the entire time she thought she was alone. She also shares what she would say to the woman who sat in that hospital room holding Tim’s hand. What she knows now that she did not know then. And why grief journaling is not about recording pain but about tracking the slow sacred evidence of your own survival. This episode covers: • How writing letters to yourself supports grief healing and widow recovery • What to write when grief leaves you speechless and words will not come • Grief journal prompts for widows at any stage of loss • The letter LTP Hope would write to her past self in that hospital room • Self compassion after loss and why you deserve your own kindness • How hope changes shape as you move through grief and bereavement • Therapeutic writing as a mental health tool after losing a spouse • Finding purpose and becoming yourself again after spousal loss • Dear younger me after grief and what healing really looks like from the inside For anyone searching for grief journaling prompts, healing through writing after loss, widow recovery tools, self compassion after grief, therapeutic writing for bereavement, or hope and purpose after losing a husband. Episode 8: Is It Okay to Be Happy Again After Loss? When Love Finds New Shapes.

A grief memoir podcast episode about grief guilt, moving forward after losing a spouse without leaving them behind, and the beautiful truth that your heart does not have to choose between the love that was and the life that still is.   Is it okay to be happy again after loss? It is one of the quietest and most searching questions a grieving person can ask. And most people never say it out loud because they are afraid of what the answer might mean.   In this episode, LTP Hope shares the honest truth about grief guilt, the feeling that smiling again is somehow a betrayal of the person you lost. The morning she caught herself laughing at something small and felt the weight of it immediately. The unexpected calm that arrived one morning with no warning and no explanation. And the slow, sacred realization that moving forward does not mean moving away from Tim. It means moving with him.   Because love does not vanish when someone dies. It expands. It finds new shapes. It lives in the way you care for people, the way you forgive, the way you keep your heart soft even when everything in you wants to close it.   This episode covers: • Grief guilt and the fear of feeling happy again after loss • What moving forward really means after losing a spouse • How love expands rather than disappears after grief • Opening your heart again without betraying who you lost • The difference between moving on and moving with • How to heal from grief while keeping their memory alive • Finding joy after spousal loss without guilt • Widow healing journey and grief recovery   For anyone navigating grief guilt, moving forward after losing a husband, widow healing, opening your heart after loss, or wondering if it is possible to feel joy again without betraying the love you had. If you are searching for grief support, widow support, or proof that your heart is allowed to expand again, you are in the right place.   📎 Book on Amazon: https://a.co/d/046M4w5J ✍️ Healing Journal on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/LTPHopeShop 🌐 Website: https://ltphopeauthor.com/ 🎥 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LTPHope 🎧 Also available on Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and iHeart Radio.

Episode 7: Feeling Your Loved One’s Presence After Death: Still His in Spirit

A grief memoir podcast episode about signs from a deceased spouse, spiritual connection after death, continuing bonds theory, widow grief support, and the beautiful truth that love does not end when someone dies. It just learns a new language. Love does not stop when someone dies. It changes shape. Quieter, softer, but still present. Still working. Still finding ways to reach you in the most ordinary and unexpected moments of your life. For a long time, LTP Hope thought healing meant letting go of Tim completely. That moving forward meant packing away the memories, closing the door gently, and learning to live as though that love belonged to another life. But grief taught her something different. Something more honest and more tender than any timeline anyone ever handed her. You do not stop being someone’s person just because they are gone. You just learn to carry them differently. In this episode she shares the moments she still feels Tim with her. In music he used to love. In the scent of his cologne drifting through a room where no one else is standing. In the quiet hum of peace that fills the space when she thinks of him. And in the slow, sacred realization that love like his does not need permission to stay. This episode also explores the science and spirituality behind what grief researchers call continuing bonds theory. The understanding that maintaining a spiritual connection with someone who has died is not a sign of being stuck in grief. It is a sign of love that was real enough to outlast goodbye. This is one of the most healing and least talked about dimensions of grief recovery and spousal bereavement.

Episode 6: Why Friends Disappear After Loss (And Who Stays)

A grief memoir podcast episode about why friends disappear after loss, the secondary grief of losing friendships, widow loneliness, and the sacred power of the people who simply show up and stay.   There is a moment after the casseroles stop coming and the cards stop arriving where you look around and realize, the room has gotten very quiet. Nobody warns you about this part of grief. The friends you thought would be there forever start to fade. The phone calls slow down. And the silence that follows is its own kind of loss.   Grief counselors call it secondary loss, the loss of friendship layered on top of the loss of your person. If you have ever asked yourself why friends disappear after grief, why people pull away when you need them most, or how to cope with loneliness after losing a spouse, this episode is for you.   In this episode, LTP Hope shares the honest truth about friendship after loss. About the people who disappeared, not out of cruelty, but because they did not know how to stay. About what grief and loneliness really look like day to day. And about the ones who did stay, the friend in the grocery store who stood quietly beside her while tears rolled down her face and a song that reminded her of Tim played over the speakers, steady, unbothered, and present until the wave passed.   This episode covers: • Why friends disappear during grief and what it really means • Secondary loss the grief of losing friendships after losing a spouse • Coping with widow loneliness and isolation after loss • What real grief support looks like, and why it rarely looks like advice • Building a grief support community when you feel most alone • How to recognize your real friends after loss • Why letting others hold you up is its own form of courage   Grief teaches you who your real people are. Not by how long you have known them, but by who is willing to walk with you through the fire.   For anyone navigating widow loneliness, friendship changes after grief, isolation after losing a husband, secondary loss, or searching for community and grief support after spousal loss. If you are looking for bereavement support, widow support, or proof that love often arrives wearing an ordinary face, you are in the right place.   📎 Book on Amazon: https://a.co/d/046M4w5J 🎥 YouTube: https://youtube.com/@ltphope-renew 🎧 Also available on Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and iHeart Radio.

Episode 5: Faith After Loss: Faith, Doubt, and Grace After Losing a Spouse

A grief memoir podcast episode about faith after loss, doubting God when a spouse dies, and the quiet grace that carries you even when you can’t feel it.   After Tim passed, people told me, “Have faith. God has a plan.” And though I nodded, my heart wasn’t ready to believe it. I wanted to scream, What kind of plan takes away the person I love most?   I knew God. I had prayed. But grief changes the way you see everything, even your faith. There were nights when I’d whisper into the dark, “Are you even there?” And the silence that followed felt endless.   But somewhere deep down, in that silence, something stirred. It wasn’t comfort, not yet. It was more like a flicker, quiet but steady.  And I think that was grace.   Faith doesn’t always sound like certainty. Sometimes, faith is just breathing through the pain and trusting that God hears the tears we don’t have words for.   Grace isn’t loud. It’s in the small mercies, a call from a friend, a sunrise that feels a little softer, the way the world keeps spinning even when you can’t. It’s God saying, You’re still mine. Even here.   For anyone questioning faith after loss, navigating spiritual grief, doubting God after losing a spouse, or searching for grace in the middle of pain. If you are seeking spiritual comfort after bereavement or faith healing after loss, you are in the right place.   📎 Book on Amazon: https://a.co/d/046M4w5J 🌐 Website: https://ltphopeauthor.com/ 🎥 YouTube: https://youtube.com/@ltphope-renew
