    Ashley and Zube are back with the June 2026 update for Padyak Racing Team, and the season's biggest weekend just delivered.     Ashley and Zube dedicate a special mini-episode to the biggest weekend on PRT's calendar: La Copa San Diego. For the first time, Padyak Racing Team and San Diego Bicycle Club are co-hosting a two-day omnium — Saturday's 29th Annual Barrio Logan Grand Prix criterium in downtown San Diego, and Sunday's fifth annual JKC Memorial Hunte Parkway Road Race in Chula Vista's Eastlake community. They tell the story of Julius Kim Cunanan, PRT's first president and co-founder, who was killed on a Sunday training ride in January 2021 at age 40 — and how PRT transformed that grief into a race that earned SCNCA state championship status in its very first year, grew to 256+ racers by year two, and now anchors a community festival with a Perros Bravos 5K, a Mattel-sponsored kids event, food vendors, and close to 80 volunteers.
