Dots vs Grokbot: OpenAI's new AI agent against Elon's Grokbot, plus Instinct, and why Opus 5.5 made Rik un-cancel Claude. Rik and Ben on AI agents, Claude Code and Codex. No guest this week. IN THIS EPISODE: • OpenAI's Dots vs Grokbot, and the dot.com redirect to the Grokbot download page • Why every AI agent looks cute: trust, lock-in and the agnostic stack nobody has built • Instinct, an AI agent that lives in iMessage or WhatsApp, and its network-effect business model • Opus 5.5 brought Rik back after 23 days off Claude: the $20 plan that feels like the $100 plan • Claude Code's graceful stop at the 5-hour limit, and the steer button debate with Codex • A $5,000 motion design video in 3 prompts, and AI commoditizing every media format • Faceless AI fitness accounts: gold rush or the next slop? • Tesla's Roadster demo delay, DoorDash Air drone deliveries and Freckle, the kids' phone CHAPTERS: 00:00 Cold open 00:11 The AI leaders' luncheon with Trump (and why Sam Altman missed it) 03:00 OpenAI Dots vs Grokbot (and the dot.com redirect) 08:19 One AI stack or many? Three AI Models in 24 Hours: Grok 4.7, Opus 5.5, GPT-6 | Is Model Fatigue Real? | What Jev Actually Is | Meta's $1,300 VR Glasses | EP32

Grok 4.7, Claude Opus 5.5, and GPT-6 Sol and Luna all dropped in the same 24-hour window this week, and instead of hype, Rik and Ben feel model fatigue. Guest Shawn Esquivel, an ex-Composio dev rel and full-time AI builder, joins to talk Grokbot versus Cursor, the Jev misconception everyone's getting wrong, and why Meta might have just nailed AI wearables with $1,300 glasses at 100 grams. Rik and Ben are joined by AI builder and former Composio dev rel Shawn Esquivel for a wide-ranging conversation on this week's model releases, subscription fatigue, and what's actually real about the Jev hype cycle. IN THIS EPISODE: Grok 4.7, Opus 5.5, and GPT-6 Sol and Luna all launch within 24 hours, and why model fatigue is a real reaction this time, not just a joke. Rik cancelled Claude 23 days before Opus 5.5 shipped 100 dollars in free API credits, and says it feels exactly like crypto FOMO. Shawn's Grokbot has been fabricating its own API cost reports for weeks. Ben clears up the single biggest misconception about Jev: it can't code, it can't speak, it only picks between outcomes. Shawn tells the story of DMing a stranger at a San Francisco hackathon and landing a job interview with zero applications. The episode closes on Meta's Muse launch and its new 1,300 dollar VR glasses against Apple's 3,700 dollar Vision Pro. Quiet model week, loud money week. TypeSafe AI's Jev cannot generate text. It scores decisions. Codex banked resets, Claude's usage bump cut from 50% to 25%, Luna down 80%. How Tiiny Host Went From $6 to $10K MRR | 80% of Uploads Are Now AI Code | Vercel Drop vs Tiiny | Marc Lou vs Compounding SaaS with Elston Baretto, Founder @ Tiiny Host | EP30

ChatGPT and Claude will build the site. They still will not host it. Elston Baretto of Tiiny Host on vibe coding and a $6 first customer. Rik and Ben sit with Elston Baretto, founder of Tiiny Host, for God Mode Pod episode 30. He does not say $1 million on this recording. A 7 Sep tweet claimed $1M ARR. On-air you get the slope: $50 to register, $6 for the first customer, two and a half years to $10k MRR, and $500 to $600 a month on OpenRouter for the whole user base. This year 80% of uploads are code. A Vercel engineer called Drop "Tiiny Host, but worse." Gamma does $100M ARR on presentations while Canva already does slides. Subscribr won godmodepod.com/bid at $13. IN THIS EPISODE: • Drag and drop HTML, PDFs, or a zip. Live link in ten seconds. Hosting is still the unsolved last mile. That is why Tiiny exists. • First customer paid six dollars a month. Twenty-five customers for months after that. Two and a half years to $10k. Ben's own $10k took the same clock. • Solo at the start. Registration fee about $50. Never put more money in. An eight-year-old running app still pays out from Google every two or three months. Team of eight now. • Last year 35–40% of uploads were PDFs. This year 80% is code, because ChatGPT and Claude can build the site and still cannot put it online. SEO got him to $10k. LLM citations then went volatile. • Two ways to indie-hack right now: Marc Lou spikes versus compounding SaaS. Outbid forgotten in two weeks. Subscribr bought the shoutout for $13. • Vercel Drop is not the same market. OpenRouter is $500–600 a month across the entire user base. Gamma does $100M ARR on slides while Canva already does slides. Rik is in Brazil next episode. Claude shipped Fable 5.1 the week Rik cancelled, OpenAI is cutting Cursor off on November 12, and Anthropic's $200 20x plan is only 2x on the weekly limit.Rik and Ben go through the week the best model arrived after the breakup. Ben corrects that to 15-20% on token efficiency, and times the move with Astra.• Kalshi: 80% of OpenAI and Anthropic enterprise revenue comes from 1% of customers. NVIDIA Buys Hugging Face for $12.9B | Anthropic Targets a $100B IPO | Ox Alpha Is GLM-5.3 | OpenAI Brings Back Rate Limits | Shopify vs Claude Code | EP28

NVIDIA is buying Hugging Face for $12.9 billion, Anthropic wants a bigger IPO than SpaceX, and a Chinese open source AI model served the world's inference without a single NVIDIA chip. Plus: 2,000 humanoid robots raced in Beijing and one of them beat Usain Bolt's 100m record. Then it ran into a wall, because nobody has solved stopping yet. Rik and Ben go through the week that every layer of the AI stack got bought, built in-house, or quietly replaced. IN THIS EPISODE: • NVIDIA agrees to buy Hugging Face for $12.9B. Ben does the math live: Hugging Face makes around $150M a year, putting the deal at roughly 100 times revenue. Microsoft paid 25-30x for GitHub in 2018. • Anthropic targets a roughly $100B IPO, bigger than SpaceX's record raise. Rik's objection: they rent compute from a direct competitor, and the deal has a 90-day clause. • Ox Alpha, the anonymous model developers had been hammering for weeks, turns out to be Z.ai's GLM-5.3-Flash. MIT licence, 1M-token context, running entirely on domestic Chinese chips. • The 5-hour limits are back on OpenAI Plus, and Ben argues rate limits have become pricing strategy rather than infrastructure. Claude Code eating the Claude chat quota is what pushed Rik back to Cursor. • Shopify's CEO floats banning Claude Code over a config file. Apple spends $1.5B on AI that can read silently mouthed words. • One developer made around $235,000 with a bid button, and Ben traces the whole idea back to the million dollar homepage, whose creator went on to co-found Calm. Stripe just bought OpenRouter, everyone is cancelling their Claude subscription, and Rik and Ben break down six AI debates on jobs, regulation, and AGI timelines. Just Rik and Ben this week — Ben's off to the UK, Luca's out entirely — so they go deep on three stories instead of racing the full docket: the mass Claude-cancellation moment and what they're both actually running instead, Stripe's acquisition of OpenRouter and the wild founder story behind it, and OpenAI's executive exodus ahead of a delayed IPO.
