What Does “His Kingdom Come” Look Like?

What are we actually asking for when we pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”? For a lot of Christians, the goal of the gospel has basically become getting saved, going to heaven, and helping other people do the same. But is that really the whole mission Jesus gave us? What if salvation is the starting point—not the finish line? Jesus called us the salt of the earth and the light of the world. He wasn’t just telling us to survive until He comes back. He was calling us to bring His presence, His power, and His solutions into the world around us. So what does it actually look like for the Kingdom of Heaven to come to earth? In this episode, we unpack why Jesus’ message of the Kingdom changes the way we think about salvation, the Lord’s Prayer, our purpose as Christians, and the role we’re meant to play in pushing back darkness and bringing restoration into our families, communities, cities, and beyond. Why Is God Different In The Old Testament vs New Testament?

Why does God seem so different in the Old Testament and New Testament? In the OT, God seems kind of angry and harsh, telling the Israelites to wipe out entire nations, seemingly allowing things like adultery and slavery, and generally sounding much more violent. In the NT, Jesus seems completely the opposite of this. He's gentle, meek, mild. How do we reconcile these two realities? Did God change? Are we missing something? Johnny wrestled with this question a lot himself growing up, and gives the answer that ties it all together in a way you probably haven't heard before. Christianity and War: Is It Ever OK? (Biblical Proof)

How do you reconcile the God of the Old Testament with the God of the New Testament...especially when it comes to war and violence? Didn't God tell the Israelites to wipe out men, women, children, and animals? But then Christ comes with meekness and gentleness in the New Testament... How could this be the same God? This episode dives into how we should think about war and force as Christians, and will help make sense of some of the confusion that can come up if you just take a cursory glance at the Old Testament without understanding what was really going on. That's NOT Spiritual Warfare

A lot of people step on a pebble and cry out that demons are attacking their every move, while others get smacked upside the head with a mountain and keep on keeping on. What's the difference? The second person has the right mindset about spiritual warfare. Now hear this before we get any further: spiritual warfare is a very real thing. We're not disputing that. BUT... It's a phrase that's thrown around a LOT and ends up allowing a lot of Christians to sit in self-pity and never pick up their calling and assignment from the Lord. In this episode you'll learn what is - and what is NOT - spiritual warfare, and, what to do to prepare yourself to obey the Lord both in everyday life and when you legitimately are under attack. In This Episode: 0:00 Is That Really Spiritual Warfare? 2:12 3 Things The Bible ACTUALLY Says About Spiritual Warfare 11:57 The War For Your Thoughts 18:32 Combatting Warfare With The Armor of God 26:08 What Does The Enemy Really Know? 31:19 How To Operate In This War 37:50 Prayer Resources: Restore7: https://www.restore7.org/ Partner with us by Donating: https://www.restore7.org/donate Take the RISE Video Course and Download The App: https://www.rise7.org/ Mentioned: Spirit Wars by Kris Vallotton: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4PXVG3M/

Why You Feel So Distant From God, Even If You're "Doing Everything Right"

Our culture puts a lot of emphasis on intellect. And as Christians, truth is EXTREMELY important to us. Combine the two, and you get a very rigid way of approaching God and the Bible. Which leads a lot of Christians to kind of throw their hands up in the air and say, "just tell me exactly what to do!" But... There's a difference between TRUTH and facts. And, there's a big difference between being right and being loving. Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life...but He's also Love. In this episode, we dive into how to hold this tension properly in order to find both truth AND love. In This Episode: 0:00 What Is Truth? 1:18 Left Brain vs Right Brain Christianity 9:08 Balancing Truth With Love 12:44 Don't Fall Into A Religious Spirit 16:44 How To Know FOR SURE 22:53 What Relational Truth Actually Looks Like (Expect This) 27:56 Prayer Resources: Restore7: https://www.restore7.org/ Partner with us by Donating: https://www.restore7.org/donate Take the RISE Video Course and Download The App: https://www.rise7.org/

What's the Actual Point of the Christian Life? [The 7 Mountains]

What is the actual point of being a Christian? What are we supposed to do? Why are we even here on earth at all...why doesn't God just take us right away as soon as we believe? The answer to that question is found in 7 Mountains. In this episode, we'll talk about the purpose of the 97% of Christians who are NOT in ministry. We'll go into how you can use your gifts in ANY area of society to glorify God and make Him known, and why that's such incredibly good news.
