    Why You Need To Fail In Public - Imran Al Aradi

    Imran Al Aradi is a Bahrain-based stand-up comedian, MC, and one of the most recognisable voices in the Gulf comedy scene. Two decades on stage, 200 plus shows across seven countries, 17 years on live radio, and the guy who opened for Bassem Youssef in front of 8,000 people in Dubai. In this wide-ranging conversation we cover a lot of ground. We talk about what it actually takes to build a comedy career from scratch - the open mic grind, the bad nights, the jokes that land and the ones that absolutely don't, and why bombing on stage is something every comedian has to go through before they can call themselves one. Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, she came to the UK to pursue a master's in law, and what started as volunteering with the Salvation Army interviewing victims became a mission she couldn't walk away from. In this wide-ranging conversation we cover a lot of ground.
