The sharing of these first-hand accounts of personal life experiences is intended to bless and inspire one's own journey in discovering and strengthening faith through trials, blessings, changes, and uncertainties. “Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their way of life, imitate their faith.” (Hebrews 13:7) In this deeply reflective interview, Auburn Harris sits down with Profiles of Faith to share her remarkable life journey—from growing up in a large Southern Cajun Catholic family in Baton Rouge with a unique college-inspired naming tradition, to navigating the turbulent cultural shifts of the hippie era in California. Auburn opens up about moving past a childhood shaped by strict religious rules and fear, finding an enduring personal faith through unexpected moments of grace, and ultimately experiencing a profound spiritual rebirth when she was baptized in Panama City, Florida, in 1979. Along the way, she discusses the realities of marriage, the power of a supportive church community during hard times, and what it means to balance a lifelong calling as an encourager with the grace required in everyday life.
