    Surviving Yourself

As healing progresses, the focus eventually shifts from what happened to us to what happened within us. In this episode, we explore one of the most difficult parts of the healing journey: confronting the version of ourselves that emerged while trying to survive pain, rejection, abandonment, trauma, disappointment, and emotional wounds we did not yet know how to process. We discuss survival behaviors, coping mechanisms, people-pleasing, emotional walls, anger, avoidance, self-sabotage,and the ways survival can quietly become identity. We also explore the difference between accountability and self-condemnation, why awareness withoutgrace can become self-hatred, and how many of us continue punishing versions of ourselves that were simply doing the best they could with the awareness and tools they had at the time. This episode also addresses the importance of therapy, counseling, community, and seeking help when healing feelsoverwhelming. We discuss God's heart for the brokenhearted, the reality of emotional exhaustion, and the truth that God does not move away from us when we are hurting. He moves toward us. Most importantly, we explore the difficult but necessary journey of self-forgiveness. Because healing is not about excusing who we became in pain, it is about acknowledging it, learning from it, taking responsibility where necessary, and refusing to remain imprisoned by it forever. The goal was never self-hatred. The goal was healing. God is not asking us to hate the person who survived. He is teaching us how to heal them. Let's Align!

Realignment Begins — Take Your Power Back

Episode 4 moves from awareness into action. This is where realignment begins. In this episode, we confront what many people have been carrying for years. Not just decisions or direction, but words that were spoken and experiences that left an impact. Words like:“You’re nothing.”“You’re a failure.”“You’re not enough.” And for many, those words didn’t just hurt in the moment. They stayed. They replayed. They slowly shaped identity, confidence, and how you show up in life. This episode also addresses what was done to you. The disappointment. The betrayal. The moments where someone didn’t show up.The experiences that left scars, even if you kept moving forward. But this is not about staying there. This is about telling the truth: You are not what was said to you.You are not what happened to you. At the same time, this episode makes it clear that healing does not come from ignoring it. It comes from acknowledging it, owning it, and beginning the process of taking your power back. We then move into what that actually looks like in real life. Doing the work. That includes:Therapy.Journaling.Being intentional about what you allow into your mind.Surrounding yourself with the right people instead of isolating. It also brings God into the center of the process. Not as a distant idea, but as present, active, and guiding. God as Father.God as Friend.God as peace, healer, and provider. Learning how to hear His voice above everything else that has been carried, and allowing Him to guide the process step by step. This episode was recorded on Good Friday, which represents pain, sacrifice, and something heavy being carried. But it also represents the beginning of restoration. And that is where this episode sits. In the tension between what was…and what is being restored. This is not a quick fix. This is the beginning of the work. Let’s Align.
