The Good Samaritan: Which Character Are You?

Drop me a line and let me know what you think or a topic you’d like to discuss   Most of us know the story of the Good Samaritan and its familiar lesson: Who is my neighbor? But what if Jesus’ story is also a mirror—revealing the different ways we respond to people, pain, responsibility, and opportunity? In this episode of 42 Elite, we take a closer look at the characters in Luke 10:25–37: the thieves, the wounded man, the priest, the Levite, the Samaritan, and even the innkeeper. Each one represents a different response to the needs we encounter around us. For the man who has been transformed by Christ, the question is not simply, “Who is my neighbor?” It is also, “Which character am I becoming?” Are we exploiting others, avoiding them, walking past them, or allowing the Holy Spirit to move us toward compassion, sacrifice, and action? Jesus ends the story with a simple command: “Go and do likewise.” The challenge is learning what that looks like in our lives today.

Transformation Has a Destination: The Pursuit of Holiness

Drop me a line and let me know what you think or a topic you’d like to discuss  Transformation is not the finish line—it is the beginning of a new way of living.   In this episode of 42 Elite, we move beyond the question of “Have I been changed?” to the much more practical question: “If I am a new creation, how should I live now?”   God didn’t transform you simply to make you different from the man you were. He is transforming you to become more like Jesus Christ.

New Heart, New Life: The Change Only God Can Make

Drop me a line and let me know what you think or a topic you’d like to discuss  In this final episode of the trilogy, New Heart, New Life, we move beyond the desire for change and beyond rehabilitation to the transformation God actually promises: regeneration. God doesn’t merely improve the old life. He gives us a new heart, puts His Spirit within us, and begins changing us from the inside out.   This is the heart of the Gospel. Christianity isn’t simply about becoming a better version of the person you used to be. It is about receiving a new life from God—and then learning how to live from that new heart. You don’t need a better old life. You need the new life only God can give.

Rehabilitation or Regeneration? God Didn’t Come to Fix You—He Came to Make You New

Drop me a line and let me know what you think or a topic you’d like to discuss  In this second episode of the Relief or Transformation trilogy, we explore the profound difference between rehabilitation and regeneration. Rehabilitation attempts to improve the person we already are. Regeneration creates something new. Jesus didn’t simply come to modify our behavior. He came to transform us from the inside out—to give us a new heart, a new spirit, and ultimately a new life.

Relief or Transformation? Why Real Change Is So Rare

Drop me a line and let me know what you think or a topic you’d like to discuss  After watching Jesus Revolution, one question kept echoing in my mind: Why were so many lives so dramatically transformed? What changed drug addicts into pastors, restored broken families, and gave a generation searching for meaning a completely new direction?   In the first episode of this three-part series, we'll explore Jesus' Parable of the Sower and discover why some people experience lasting transformation while others continue repeating the same destructive cycles. This isn't just a message about addiction. It's about the condition of every human heart. Join me as we begin the journey from relief to renewal.

Abiding in Christ: The Rock Climbing Lesson That Changed Everything

Drop me a line and let me know what you think or a topic you’d like to discuss   Sometimes the greatest lessons about following Christ come from the most unexpected places. While rock climbing, I quickly discovered that the higher I climbed, the more exhausted I became. I was relying almost entirely on my own strength until an experienced climber offered a simple piece of advice: keep your hips close to the wall. As I learned to lean in instead of pulling away, everything changed. I used less energy, gained better balance, reached the next handhold more easily, and climbed farther than I could before. That experience became a powerful picture of what Jesus meant when He said, "Abide in Me." Too often we live the Christian life by striving harder, trying to overcome life's challenges through our own determination. But Jesus never called us to carry that burden alone. He calls us to remain close to Him, to trust Him, to rest in Him, and to draw our strength from Him. In this episode, we'll explore what it truly means to abide in Christ, why staying close to Him changes everything, and how leaning into His presence gives us the strength, wisdom, and peace to face whatever climb lies ahead. Key Scriptures: John 15:1–11, Matthew 11:28–30, Isaiah 40:31, Galatians 2:20 If you've been feeling spiritually exhausted, constantly striving, or wondering why the Christian life seems so difficult, this episode is an invitation to discover the freedom and strength that come from simply abiding in Christ.

    Identity Before Performance

Drop me a line and let me know what you think or a topic you’d like to discuss  In this episode, we explore what it means to become the man God says you are. Jesus never called men to simply try harder. He called us to abide in Him. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit apart from the vine, a man cannot become who God created him to be apart from Christ.   #IdentityInChrist    #AbideInChrist  You can leave a comment or idea for another Podcast
