    「拍馬屁」不是拍馬的屁股？！🐴😂“Pāi mǎ pì” doesn’t mean patting a horse’s butt?! 在中文裡，拍馬屁 pāi mǎ pì 的意思是：In Mandarin Chinese, pāi mǎ pì means: 為了討好別人，故意說好聽的話。To say nice things on purpose to please someone. 英文可以說：In English, you can say: flatter someone拍馬屁、奉承某人 butter someone up說好聽的話討好別人 例如：For example: 老師，你今天好漂亮喔！所以今天可以少一點作業嗎？Teacher, you look so beautiful today!     🧋 Taiwanese People Say This All the Time:「有夠」✨

    In this episode, we’re learning a very common Taiwanese Mandarin phrase: 「有夠」 yǒu gòu 「有夠」 means “super,” “very,” or “really” in English. Taiwanese people often use it in daily conversations: 有夠熱！It’s super hot! 有夠累！I’m super tired! 有夠好喝！It’s really delicious! In this episode, you’ll hear a simple conversation between friends after school as they buy drinks and naturally learn how to use 「有夠」.     你怎麼這麼瞎？👀 （Nǐ zěnme zhème xiā?） Why are you being so ridiculous?

    「瞎」xiā原本有 blind 的意思，但在台灣口語裡，常用來形容一件事很誇張、很不合理、讓人傻眼。 “Xiā” originally means “blind,”but in Taiwanese Mandarin slang, it can describe something ridiculous, absurd, or something that makes no sense. 例如 Example：你怎麼這麼瞎？Nǐ zěnme zhème xiā?Why are you being so ridiculous? 朋友之間開玩笑、吐槽時很常用喔！👀✨It’s often used jokingly between friends.     🇹🇼🇺🇸 台灣 vs 美國小學大不同！ 你知道嗎？ 台灣和美國的小學有很多不一樣的地方喔！👀 Taiwanese and American elementary schools are quite different! 🇹🇼 台灣：老師講課多、作業多、考試多，放學後常去補習班。 🇺🇸 美國：討論互動多、作業較少但常做報告，放學後常參加運動和社團。 In Taiwan, students usually have more lectures, homework, and tests.     🥚🐰 你知道復活節是什麼嗎？ (Nǐ zhī dào Fù huó jié shì shén me ma?)Do you know what Easter is?

    復活節在很多國家都是很重要的節日， 而且小朋友最期待的活動之一， 就是找彩蛋！🥚✨ Easter is an important holiday in many countries, and one of the most exciting parts for kids is the Easter egg hunt! 🥚✨ 大人會先把彩色的蛋藏起來， 小朋友再像尋寶一樣到處找， 有些彩蛋裡面還會有糖果或小禮物，真的很好玩！ Adults hide colorful eggs, and kids go look for them like a treasure hunt. Some eggs even have candy or little surprises inside—it’s so much fun! 另外，復活節還有一個很可愛的角色， 就是 復活節兔子 Easter Bunny 🐰 There’s also a cute symbol of Easter— the Easter Bunny! 🐰 大家相信牠會帶來彩蛋， 是不是很有趣呢？ People believe the Easter Bunny brings Easter eggs. Isn’t that cute? 今年的復活節是在 4 月 5 日。 而在台灣，四月也有一個很重要的節日， 就是 清明節。 This year, Easter falls on April 5th.     🎧🤯 一個頭兩個大！ （Yí gè tóu liǎng gè dà!） I’m Overwhelmed!

    🤯 一個頭兩個大！ Yí gè tóu liǎng gè dà! I’m overwhelmed! 「一個頭兩個大」 是中文裡很常用的口語表達，意思是事情太多、太煩，讓人覺得很有壓力、很頭痛。 “Yí gè tóu liǎng gè dà” is a common Chinese expression. It means you have too many things to deal with and feel overwhelmed. 例如： 我有很多作業，還要準備考試，真是一個頭兩個大。 Wǒ yǒu hěn duō zuòyè, hái yào zhǔnbèi kǎoshì, zhēn shì yí gè tóu liǎng gè dà. I have a lot of homework and I still need to prepare for the test. I’m really overwhelmed. 英文裡，我們可以說： I’m overwhelmed. I have too much to do.
