Moses Wanted Every Believer To Prophesy

Send us Fan Mail There's a moment in the Old Testament that almost nobody preaches — but it predicts the Day of Pentecost and changes everything about what the Holy Spirit was always meant to do. Two men named Eldad and Medad were supposed to be at the tent of meeting with Moses. They didn't make it. Doesn't matter. When God took the Spirit that was on Moses and distributed it to seventy elders, Eldad and Medad were included too — even though they were back in the camp. The Spirit fell on them where they were, and they prophesied in front of everyone. Joshua panicked. He asked Moses to stop them. And Moses responded with a sentence that became a prophecy of everything that would happen at Pentecost 1,500 years later: "I would that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that God would put His Spirit on all of them." That was Moses speaking. About every believer. Including you. In Galatians 3, Paul tells the Galatians that the blessing of Abraham comes to the Gentiles "so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith." This was always the goal. The law was never the destination. The indwelling Holy Spirit was. In this teaching you'll discover: ‣ The Old Testament moment that predicted Pentecost — and the two men nobody talks about ‣ What "the curse of the law" actually was — and why no one could escape it on their own ‣ Why Moses wanted every Israelite to be a prophet — and how God answered that prayer 1,500 years later ‣ The exact 430-year gap between Abraham's promise and the law of Moses — and what that gap proves ‣ Why God's promise was made to "your offspring" (one person, Christ) — not "offsprings" (many) ‣ The real reason God gave the law — and why it was never meant to produce righteousness ‣ Why the blood of bulls and goats had to be repeated year after year — and what finally changed everything Scripture: Galatians 3:13-19, Numbers 11:24-29, Joel 2:28-29 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Bible Says More with Pastor Randy Johnson — Reading Paul's Mail one letter at a time, taking the Scriptures at face value, and letting Scripture interpret Scripture. Abraham Was Righteous Before He Was Circumcised

Send us Fan Mail Abraham was credited with righteousness before he was circumcised. That's not a footnote — it's the entire argument of Galatians 3. And it's the fact that destroys every works-based religion ever invented. Here's what Paul is doing: he's appealing to chronology. God credited Abraham as righteous in Genesis 15. Abraham wasn't circumcised until Genesis 17. That's at least 13 years between the credit and the sign. Faith came first. Circumcision was the seal of what was already true. So if Abraham was made righteous by faith BEFORE any ritual, any law, any commandment, any sign — then righteousness has never been about ritual. It's always been about faith. And that's why God isn't interested in giving you a list of rules. He's interested in giving you Himself. In this teaching you'll discover: ‣ The exact 13-year gap between Abraham's faith and his circumcision — and what it means for every believer today ‣ Why circumcision was a "seal" of righteousness — not the source of it ‣ The "rules on the building wall" illustration — and why a list of rules can never produce a relationship ‣ The single goal God has had for humanity since Eden — and how the indwelling Holy Spirit fulfills it ‣ Why Scripture is the final authority over every revelation, prophecy, or word — and what makes it unbreakable ‣ The careful balance: not under the law for righteousness, but the law still identifies sin ‣ The closing prayer that asks the Father to give you the gift of the Holy Spirit so you can know Him personally Scripture: Galatians 3:15-29, Genesis 15:6, Genesis 17 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Bible Says More with Pastor Randy Johnson — Reading Paul's Mail one letter at a time, taking the Scriptures at face value, and letting Scripture interpret Scripture. Jesus Became A Curse — On Purpose

Send us Fan Mail "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree." That sentence wasn't a random Old Testament verse. It was a deliberate prophecy — and Paul quotes it in Galatians to make the most uncomfortable claim in the entire New Testament: Jesus didn't just die for our sins. He became a curse for us. On purpose. This is what the Apostle Paul means in Galatians 3:13: "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us — for it is written, cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree." The cross wasn't just a sacrifice. It was a substitution. And it has implications that reach further than most Christians realize — into every ethnic group on earth, into every family, into every nation, including the ones who think Christianity isn't for them. In this teaching you'll discover: ‣ What "the curse of the law" actually was — and why no one could escape it on their own ‣ The exact moment Jesus took on the curse that belonged to everyone else — and the Old Testament prophecy that pointed to it ‣ Why the law could only ever identify sin — and never deliver righteousness ‣ The Greek word "ethnos" — and why the promise to Abraham was given for every ethnic group on earth, not just one ‣ Why Christianity has never been a "white man's religion" — and the historical fact that disproves the accusation completely ‣ The blessing of Abraham — and how it travels through Christ to every nation ‣ Why God's ultimate goal was never a list of rules — but the indwelling Holy Spirit Scripture: Galatians 3:10-14, Habakkuk 2:4, Deuteronomy 21:23 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Bible Says More with Pastor Randy Johnson — Reading Paul's Mail one letter at a time, taking the Scriptures at face value, and letting Scripture interpret Scripture.
