Smokey and the Bandit (1977)

On this week's episode the 3 men and a movie podcast covers our oldest movie yet: 1977's Smokey and the Bandit. Hang out with us and find out what we think about the 2nd highest grossing movie of 1977. Find out about all the trucks, Trans Ams, and CB radio lingo that 1977 had to offer. Do we understand how CB radios work? Probably not. Does Sheriff Justice know how to use one to catch the Bandit? Also probably not. But it's a fun time finding out!

Well, this movie has twice as much Michael B Jordan as any other Michael B Jordan movie. What's the twist of this movie? You've probably already heard about it, but is that the only twist of the movie? Come along for the ride as Wes tries to answer his own question, "Who are the Sinners?" Legally Blonde (2001)

This week's episode is for the ladies! Our ladies to be specific. Jim, Wes, Nick and Dan take a request from their wives to cover a rom-com or a "girl" movie. The one they chose is none other than the iconic Legally Blonde. They guys took in this early 2000's classic to determine "Is it worth it?" What are the odds that a law student would get the opportunity to defend someone in a capital crime? It doesn't matter when you have the endless, cheery, endlessly positive demeanor of Elle Woods. Come on in, have a seat in our studio, and hang out with us while we talk about "Legally Blonde."

The Toxic Avenger (1984)

This week, the boys are watching a real cult classic of a film, 1984's Toxic Avenger. This was a doozy! The movie is only 83 minutes but it takes longer than that to sort it all out! From questionably dressed police officers to classic 1980s bully tropes this super hero origin story has it all and brings every bit of it to the table. Is this one worth it? Tune in to find out.

Waterworld (1995)

On this episode come settle in with the 3 Men and a Movie guys to catch 1995's Waterworld. Does this movie say anything about climate change? No. Is this a movie that everyone was asking for? Also no. But in 1995 this was the most expensive movie ever made. Why? Because one of the sets sank in the ocean. Crack open a drink and hang out with us to hear about Jack Black playing a pilot, Kevin Costner's gills, and Jeanne Tripplehorn's booty-double. Tune in to find out if The Road Warrior on water is actually "worth it."

Fast 6 (2013)

In episode 3, the 4 guys of 3 Men and a Movie discuss and review 2013's Fast 6. Wes picked this episode's movie with a strong recommendation on specifically this film in the Fast and Furious franchise. It's the 6th movie released however may not necessarily be 6th in chronological order. Tune in to find out if this is the film in the franchise that really went off the rails or if this one keeps things grounded. Friends become enemies and enemies become family in this fantastic heist movie surrounded by all the car cultural you can handle. Crack open a Corona (no lime) and listen in for all the international hi-jinx that Dom, Brian, Mia, and the crew bring in this sequel. It will leave you wanting more and eager to rewatch the original.

Endgame (1983)

Join the guys this week after they watched the 1983 "spaghetti sci-fi" classic Endgame. Nope, this isn't the Avengers, there's no gauntlet snap, and nobody you could consider a "super" hero. You might have heard of "spaghetti westerns" but in the 1980s there was a short span of "spaghetti sci-fi" movies that capitalized on other popular sci-fi themes. Although, there is 1 actor who did go on to appear in an X-men film later in his career. With more scene cuts than you could imagine, 1983's Endgame is filled with telekinesis, mutants, and action. Tune in and fine out as we answer the question "Is it worth it?" about Endgame!

The Goonies (1985)

Welcome to Episode 1 of 3 Men and a Movie! In this first episode we're watching the 1985 cultural touchstone "The Goonies." This movie encompassed the idea of the podcast. Nick and Jim have never seen "The Goonies" and people are always surprised. This is a movie that people grew up with. It has transcended generations and people still love it today. Join the guys to go through the movie scene-by-scene and at the end they answer the question: "Is it worth it?" If you're tired of being the only person you know to have never seen "The Goonies" then tune in to this episode and find out if you want to watch it.

Are you the only person you know who hasn't seen the Goonies? Did you miss out on Lord of the Rings? Have you never seen the Fast and Furious movies? Well, neither have we! Well, at least a couple of us haven't. We'll watch the movies and go through the plot. We'll point out what was so bad it was funny or what was so good you have to see it. You'll get the viewpoint of a couple first time watchers and a couple of us that have seen it before. And at the end you'll find out if we think this movie was worth it and if you should see it, too.
