    The Cost of Hate (Racism)

    Nobody is born knowing who they're supposed to hate. So where does racism come from? In Episode 20, Jay examines The Cost of Hate: racism, inherited prejudice, racial distrust, stereotypes, institutional power, algorithm-driven outrage, and the dangerous moment when one person's actions become an entire race's identity in our minds. Through several current stories and some uncomfortable self-reflection, this episode asks us to separate facts from assumptions while still acknowledging the very real history and consequences of racism. The challenge isn't simply recognizing prejudice in people we disagree with. It's recognizing it when it sounds like our own voice.
