Momma Works At A Strip Club

Buck looks like the kind of guy nobody messes with, but his story is a reminder that addiction does not care how tough you are. He’s a bouncer and bartender in Lexington, a private security business owner, and a sober bartender with a sobriety date on October 31. We talk with him about the real cost of cocaine and meth addiction, how fast it escalates, and the night he overdosed and still somehow woke up alive.  From the hospital to waking up in rehab on Halloween, Buck walks us through what early recovery actually feels like: denial, withdrawal, unexpected kindness from other addicts, and the slow shift from “I don’t belong here” to “I have to change.” He also shares a brutal truth about addiction recovery, how few people stay sober long-term, and why the environment you return to can be just as dangerous as the drugs themselves.  Then comes the part most people don’t say out loud: the test after rehab. Buck is offered a huge amount of drugs just days after getting out, and he has to decide in seconds what kind of life he’s building. We also get into accountability, sponsors, and the kind of community support that keeps you steady when cravings show up at 3 a.m. If you’re searching for sobriety, relapse prevention, rehab stories, or how to stay sober around alcohol, this conversation is for you.  If this hits home, subscribe, share it with someone who needs it, and leave a review so more people can find the show. I Kinda Like Talking Into The Headphones

Silence can wreck you faster than bad news. Our buddy Kody joins us to tell the story behind his “miracle baby” and the years that came before and after it: male-factor infertility, IVF, repeated pregnancy loss, and the kind of grief that makes you feel numb in the room while your life is falling apart. We talk candidly about what it’s like when the diagnosis points to you, how shame and the “be a man” mindset twist into resentment, avoidance, and chasing quick validation. Kody walks us through the emotional reality of IVF beyond the clinic, the spiral after hearing heartbeats that don’t last, and how dark humor becomes a survival tool. We also touch the NICU experience, the pressure to keep working while your child is in an incubator, and the strange loneliness of being asked, “You just have the one?” Then we get practical. We break down why communication in marriage is often the first thing to go, why couples therapy can fail when you show up guarded, and how individual therapy, the right support system, and honest conversations can finally rebuild trust. If you’ve dealt with infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, NICU life, or you’re a guy carrying pain you never say out loud, you’ll hear yourself in this one. She Married The Red Flag

Divorce can look “sudden” from the outside while it’s been quietly unfolding for years on the inside. We sit down with Kelly, a physician assistant in orthopedics, as she tells the real timeline behind her breakup: a college connection, long-distance commitment, then a move-in that exposed early microcheating and a pattern of trust fractures that never fully healed. We dig into what microcheating actually feels like day to day: the notifications, the constant doubt, the panic that hits your body before your brain can catch up, and the way snooping becomes a symptom of living without safety. Kelly also explains why she kept so much private, how shame and sunk costs can trap you, and why people around you may hand you clichés instead of asking what you’ve already survived. Then the conversation turns practical. We talk about the non-cheating red flags that often come along for the ride: immaturity, unreliable finances, blaming ADHD as an excuse, and the exhausting loop of arguments that never lead to repair. Kelly shares the boundary that protected her future when a wedding was already paid for: holding off on making it legal until trust was proven, and what finally made her choose separation before the next big steps like a house and kids. If you’re navigating divorce, emotional cheating, or rebuilding self-worth after a relationship that kept you in survival mode, this one will hit home. 988 - The Helpline

The scariest part about depression isn’t always how loud it gets, it’s how normal it can feel to carry it alone. Zac and Matt slow things down for a solemn conversation on men’s mental health, why so many of us stay quiet, and what those “I’m fine” answers can hide after divorce, heartbreak, or years of trying to be the strong one for everybody else. We dig into the statistics that stopped us cold: suicide rates, the massive number of men reporting mental health struggles, and the much smaller number actually getting counseling or therapy. Then we get personal, because numbers don’t capture the real moments the ones where you’re sitting in the dark, convincing yourself you can’t call anyone because you don’t want to be a burden. We challenge that lie head-on and talk about how pain doesn’t disappear when you vanish; it gets handed to the people who love you. We also unpack the coping habits men lean on, from dark humor to grinding through the day, and where that sense of unworthiness can start: childhood pressure, religious shame, and online “be perfect” culture that keeps moving the goalpost. If you’re struggling, we want you to hear this clearly: you don’t need to have the right words, you just need to reach out. If you’re in the US and you need immediate help, call or text 988. If this conversation helps, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs it, and leave a review so more men can find it when they’re searching in the middle of the night. Green Acres Isn’t for Me - Nates Story

He grew up in a hyper-conservative home where church was non-negotiable, questions were dangerous, and “being different” came with a threat of rejection. Then he got married young, became a dad fast, and eventually had to face the one truth he’d been taught to fear most: he’s gay. Nate joins us to share his side of the divorce story after Tanya’s earlier interview, and the result is raw, funny, and painfully human. We talk about the whirlwind start with Tanya, the rural-versus-city culture shock, and how “perfect family” expectations can trap two people who haven’t had time to figure themselves out. Nate breaks down how traditional gender roles and religious conditioning shaped what he thought marriage had to look like, and why those assumptions quietly turned into pressure, resentment, and disconnection. If you care about marriage advice, divorce recovery, or the real mechanics of compatibility, this part hits hard. From there, we get honest about coming out, family fallout, small-town gossip, and the damage that happens when you try to “pray it away” instead of doing the work. Nate shares the moment his mental health collapsed, how inpatient psych and therapy became a turning point, and why coping tools matter more than toughing it out. We also dig into co-parenting after divorce and what actually helps over the long haul: time, boundaries, and choosing not to weaponize what you know can hurt. If this conversation helps you feel less alone, subscribe for more real divorce stories, share this with someone who needs it, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Chicken Quesadilla

A chicken quesadilla, a first date that includes meeting the parents, and a relationship that goes from new to married in the blink of an eye, Tanya’s divorce story is as wild as it is human. We sit down with her to trace how leaving an abusive relationship can reshape your definition of safety, and how chasing stability can quietly turn into losing yourself. If you’ve ever searched for divorce advice that feels real, or wondered why “secure” doesn’t always mean “healthy,” this conversation will hit close. We talk about the hard middle: becoming the version of a spouse your partner wants, living a life that looks stable on paper, and realizing you’re done with your milestones while you’re still in your early 20s. Then everything collapses in rapid succession: a premature birth, the death of her mother, and her husband coming out as gay. We explore the tension between compassion and heartbreak, the pressure of religion and family expectations, and why trying to “stay together for the kids” can feel right while still doing damage. The story doesn’t stop at the split. Tanya shares what it’s like to have the kids taken, to sit in an apartment with nothing but your thoughts, and to claw your way back through boundaries, community, and relentless presence in your children’s lives. If you care about mental health after divorce, custody realities, and co-parenting that evolves over time, you’ll take a lot from this one. Just Be Silly - Fallacies of the Manosphere

The manosphere isn’t just a few loud guys online. It’s a pipeline that finds men at their lowest point, especially after divorce, and sells them a shiny shortcut: get richer, look tougher, dominate more, and you’ll finally be “high value.” We’re not buying it, and we’re not letting lonely men get farmed for clicks and monthly subscriptions either. Zac and Matt sit down with Phil and Kelly to break down what the manosphere actually teaches, why it spreads so easily through social media algorithms, and how “red pill” echo chambers turn normal insecurity into hostility toward women. We talk about the grift behind the courses, the obsession with cars, watches, and image, and the trap of treating dating like a marketplace where people are commodities instead of humans. Then we get practical. Kelly shares what many women mean when they say they want emotional safety, partnership, and a co-pilot rather than a boss. We dig into emotional intelligence, the difference between listening and fixing, and why hyperstoicism often reads as insecurity instead of strength. We also tackle independence, provider pressure, and whether it’s okay to approach someone in public, plus how to handle rejection without spiraling. If you’re rebuilding after a breakup or divorce and you want real confidence instead of cosplay masculinity, hit play.
