    31. Male Burnout: Finding Your Purpose and Following Your Joy with Cameron McLean

In this episode of the Men Need Love Too podcast, Kat Anna sits down with Cameron McLean, a psychotherapist, counsellor and psychic medium, to discuss male burnout, finding your purpose and men's mental health. Through Cameron's personal experiences and professional insights, we explore work stress, the pressure on men to keep pushing, spirituality and practical ways to follow your joy and make big decisions with more clarity. Like so many men, Cameron followed the path in front of him and kept pushing through the stress, all the way to an executive role, until his body made him stop. That wake-up call led him back to what he'd always loved: helping people. Cameron's message is full of hope. Joy is a clue to your purpose, and you don't have to blow up your life to start following it. He also shares a simple heart and gut check for big decisions that any man can try. Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 01:30 Meet Cameron McLean 03:49 Picking engineering off a career test 06:13 Why psychology felt like "not a real job" 07:40 Becoming an atheist 08:52 Climbing the ladder and "just work harder" 10:42 The wake-up call 14:25 When stress becomes your baseline 17:54 Trying to work his way out 21:53 Discovering psychic mediumship 25:16 Joy is the signpost 26:54 Finding joy through childhood memories 33:41 Freedom and the inner child 36:52 Following your joy and money 43:43 Why "mental health" keeps us in our heads 46:01 The heart and gut check for big decisions 53:50 Courage, fear and taking the leap 59:49 The $600 receipt story 1:03:07 Be careful what you ask for 1:05:36 Cancer, kidney stones and hard lessons 1:09:48 Where to find Cameron CONNECT WITH CAMERON Cameron helps people reconnect with themselves emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. Through psychic mediumship, psychotherapy, and counselling, he supports people in understanding their patterns, relationships, struggles, and their deeper path with warmth, honesty, and grounded insight. Raised in a Catholic environment, Cameron experienced a sense of faith early in life, but through common cultural influences, his natural instinct was to question, analyse, and understand the world through logic. That way of seeing everything led him to study space, science and engineering, where he built a successful career and eventually stepped into executive roles in aircraft and military manufacturing. In time, atheism became the worldview that made the most sense to him. But life had other plans. Illnesses took hold and became heavy, disruptions in personal life and personality traits started to become an issue, and gradually there was a growing sense that something essential was missing. This led him into a deeper journey of healing, meaning, and spiritual truth. The work he offers today combines lived experience, professional training, and spiritual study to support emotional healing, self-understanding, and deeper guidance. 30. The Art of the Apology: How to Repair Relationships with Jon Bui

In this episode of the Men Need Love Too podcast, Kat Anna sits down with Jon Bui, a Lewis and Clark law school graduate and founder of The Negotiated Apology, to discuss how to apologize, conflict resolution and rebuilding trust. Through Jon's personal experiences and professional insights, we explore accountability, empathy, self-forgiveness and practical ways to give an apology that actually repairs a relationship. Most of us were never taught how to apologize. Jon approaches it like a negotiation, because in many ways it is one: one person has to persuade, and the other holds the power to forgive. That's exactly why so many of us avoid it. Jon shows that a real apology isn't about changing the past, it's about changing the future, and he walks through what a sincere one sounds like, live. Whether you owe an apology or you're owed one, this conversation gives you the words. Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 01:31 Meet Jon Bui 02:44 Why apologies are so hard 04:49 Apologizing to yourself 06:08 Start with acknowledgement 07:18 Apologies change the future, not the past 09:29 Rebuilding a relationship stronger 12:47 Why some of us can't apologize 15:17 The top three reasons people don't 16:23 The power imbalance 18:37 Flowers aren't an apology 21:27 Being witnessed in your pain 22:42 Empathy as information gathering 25:02 Treat it like your only chance 28:29 "Sorry for what?" 32:12 Bravery and practicing small apologies 34:34 Should you wait to apologize? 38:44 When you're the one owed an apology 41:00 When you both did something wrong 46:10 Self-forgiveness 53:33 Turning pain into purpose 57:36 A live mock apology 1:00:16 Breaking down the apology 1:04:26 Explanation vs excuse 1:07:01 Get in front of your bad facts 1:12:52 Where to find Jon ABOUT JON Jon teaches conflict resolution using apologies and high-level negotiation strategies regularly employed by lawyers. As a graduate of Lewis & Clark School of Law, he is transforming the conflict resolution industry by empowering people with strategy and empathy to transform mistakes into relationship building opportunities. 29. Male Vulnerability: Will She Lose Attraction If You Open Up? with Miguel Hernandez

In this episode of the Men Need Love Too podcast, Kat Anna sits down with Miguel Hernandez, a licensed therapist turned coach and creator of the Well-Balanced Warrior program, to discuss male vulnerability, emotional intimacy and attraction in relationships. Through Miguel's personal experiences and professional insights, we explore what women mean by emotionally available, regulated honesty, co-regulation and practical ways for men to open up with the right partner. We take on a question men ask me all the time: if I open up to her, will she lose attraction? Many men have tried and felt their partner pull away, so they stopped sharing altogether.
