Golf and Gospel Podcast

Geremy Davis

Golf and Gospel is a podcast that bridges the game of golf with real conversations about faith, purpose, and life beyond the scorecard. Hosted by Geremy Davis and co-host Nate Wong, each episode dives into weekly professional golf storylines from tours like the PGA and LPGA while also exploring deeper spiritual themes centered on Jesus Christ. Through match breakdowns, tournament recaps, player insights, and honest dialogue with special guests, Golf and Gospel highlights not just what’s happening in the game—but what’s happening in the hearts and lives of those who play it. The mission is to create a space where golf is the platform, but the gospel is the foundation. Whether you’re a golfer, a fan of the game, or someone seeking encouragement in your faith journey, this podcast is designed to inspire, challenge, and point you toward something greater than the game itself.

Scheffler’s Grand Slam, Cauley’s Breakthrough & Two LPGA Women Make History

We’re back! Nate joins me mid-episode this week as I kick things off solo while he makes his way in — but don’t worry, we’ve got a full slate to get through before the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. First up, we recap the Dow Championship — and what a breakthrough story it was. Gina Kim and Yana Wilson combined for a 17-under 263 at Midland Country Club, closing with an 8-under 62 in best-ball play to win by two strokes  — and it was the first LPGA Tour title for both players. They’re also the lone first-time winners this season on the LPGA Tour — the longest a season has gone without a first-time winner since 2017.  Two young Americans, Epson Tour products, stepping up on Sunday. We break it all down. Then we head over to the RBC Canadian Open at TPC Toronto, where Bud Cauley finally broke through — pulling away from a crowded leaderboard for his first PGA Tour title in his 239th career start.  Cauley suffered five broken ribs, a broken left leg, and a collapsed lung in a car crash back in 2018, with his return to professional golf not coming until 2024.  This was more than a win — this was a comeback story worth celebrating. We also talk about Nelly Korda and the face of the LPGA — yes, she’s the name everyone knows, but she’s not the only dominant player on Tour right now. We break down who else is making a serious case and match them up with their male counterparts on the PGA Tour. Then we get into LIV 2.0 — is a revamped LIV Golf actually happening, or is this just noise designed to keep players and fans from losing hope? We give you our honest take. And we close out the way we always do — with the Gospel. This week: Who is Christ, and who is His salvation meant for? If you’ve ever wondered whether the Gospel is really for you, don’t skip this part. ⛳ New episodes every week. Subscribe so you don’t miss the U.S. Open breakdown coming up!

Nelly Does It Again, Rory Opts Out & Why Serving Others Changes Everything

This week on Golf & Gospel, we tee it up with a packed bag full of storylines from the world of golf — and close out with a word that hits closer to home than any birdie putt. We kick things off celebrating Nelly Korda’s victory at the Chevron Championship — another major for one of the game’s most dominant players. But what does her continued excellence mean for women’s golf? We break down the good, the complicated, and the conversation it’s sparking across the sport. Then we shift to the Ryder Cup talk that has everyone buzzing: Jim Furyk has been named USA captain. We weigh in on why that’s an inspired choice — and where the doubts creep in. From there, we head to the bayou for the Zurich Classic, where one of the week’s most heartwarming stories unfolded. Matt Fitzpatrick and his brother Alex teamed up — and the results could be life-changing for Alex’s PGA Tour future. Brotherhood in action, on and off the course. We also get into the growing tension around Signature Events, as Rory McIlroy and four other top players announce they’ll be skipping the next one. What does this mean for the tour’s biggest showcase events? And to close it out — we step off the course and into the Word. We talk about what it truly means to have a servant’s heart, and why Christ’s call to serve one another isn’t just a Sunday sentiment — it’s a daily posture. A timely reminder for all of us, whether we’re competing or just living. 🎙️ Subscribe, share, and go serve somebody this week.
