Anna founded Open Eyes Travel, an award-winning social enterprise that demonstrated how even the most traditional industries, like tourism, can integrate practices that help both people and the planet thrive within their value chains. Living in India for 14 years profoundly shaped her leadership approach, teaching her to navigate complexity and lead with purpose. As the founder of Open Eyes Academy and with 14 years’ experience in the impact ecosystem, she facilitates transformational processes integrating innovation, sustainability, and regenerative design. Anna is also part of The Regenerators, where she co-facilitates the Regenerative Leadership program, a transformative leadership paradigm inspired by the wisdom of life and nature, guiding Spanish-speaking leaders committed to creating meaningful change.     Tourism: John Hummel

    Regenerative Change Agents - a podcast about people improving the world. In the first season we hear from regenerative change agents who are paving the way towards a new way of living in the world by using tourism as a catalyst to spread the regenerative mindset and practices around our globe. John Hummel is passionate about regenerative living and working in mountain areas. He designed and implemented integrated development and tourism initiatives in the Himalaya, combining expertise in sustainable rural livelihoods, convivial conservation, climate resilience, and micro and small enterprise development. For the last 30 years he has advised national and local tourism organisations, specifically focussing on pro-poor sustainable tourism development initiatives in Asian and African countries. Recently he has been supporting the SUSTOUR and Voice for Green Change Partnership projects in Bhutan. Eight years ago, he co-founded the Okharbot Organic Farm, a regenerative agriculture innovation and demonstration centre with a culinary overnight stay just East of Kathmandu, in Nepal. Elke brings some great insights and lived experience with world war one as a tourism experience in Flanders and her own journey in regeneration, systems thinking and all the potential of places and communities. We dived into the increasingly important role of companies and marketeers and their needed change in focus towards transparency and responsibility.
