Peace on earth is possible. It requires 2 things: that all are free to live under the law that prohibits aggressing, and that we treat each other excellently. This show is not a utopia. It's practical and achievable. It brings to life what these two essential components really mean. What is more important than figuring out how 8 billion of us can live in peace and flourish? There is no time to time waste!

    Rick Raddatz - Pentanomics

    Rick Raddatz joins Live and Let Live to explore a deceptively simple question: what if our political divisions are really a philosophy problem?Rick is the founder of Pentonomics, a framework designed to extend the principles of freedom and mutually beneficial exchange beyond the private economy and apply them across society. He argues that human action can be understood through five fundamental categories—private, public, political, foreign, and governing action—and that each can be governed by the same underlying principles: minimize harm, preserve freedom, allow negotiation, and enable progress. In this conversation, Robbie and Rick explore Ludwig von Mises, human action, political polarization, limited government, environmental protection, social justice, public spending, checks and balances, national defense, taxation, voluntary governance, and how societies can reconcile freedom with the desire to make genuine social progress.They also explore the striking overlap between Pentonomics and Live and Let Live. Rick argues that the 3L principles of minimizing harm and encouraging good should be applied consistently across all five forms of human action—and that doing so could provide common philosophical ground for conservatives, progressives, libertarians, and moderates without requiring them to agree on individual political issues. With a background in both philosophy and computer science, Rick began developing the framework after becoming increasingly concerned by America’s political polarization. His conclusion was that the divide is not fundamentally a political problem, but a philosophical one: competing worldviews lack an agreed set of underlying principles through which disagreement can be peacefully navigated. Pentonomics attempts to provide that common foundation by identifying five fundamental forms of human action and applying the principles of limited government, freedom, negotiation, and progress across each. Rather than eliminating political disagreement, Rick’s goal is to create a framework in which people across the political spectrum can agree on the fundamentals while remaining free to disagree about everything else.

    Lyn Ulbricht - Ross Is Free. Thousands Remain in Dungeons

    Lyn Ulbricht joins Live and Let Live to discuss her extraordinary 11½-year fight to free her son, Ross Ulbricht, and why his release was not the end of her mission.Ross was sentenced to double life plus 40 years without parole following his conviction in connection with Silk Road. After years of campaigning by Lyn and a growing movement of supporters, Ross received a full presidential pardon in 2025. But during more than a decade visiting prisons across the United States, Lyn met countless families whose loved ones were serving extraordinarily long sentences—often for nonviolent or victimless offenses. Those experiences led her to found Mothers Against Cruel Sentencing (MACS).In this conversation, Robbie and Lyn explore cruel and disproportionate sentencing, the drug war, victimless crimes, restorative justice, private prisons, incentives within the criminal justice system, the Eighth Amendment, and whether incarceration is really the best way to protect society and deliver justice.Lyn also reflects on Ross’s case, misconceptions surrounding Silk Road, and the emotional moment she finally watched her son walk out of prison after more than eleven years.     Larry Rosen - The Enemies Project

    Larry Rosen, founder and host of The Enemies Project, joins Live and Let Live to explore one of the defining challenges of our time: how do we stop seeing people on the other side as enemies? Larry has spent years bringing people with fiercely opposing political and moral views face-to-face—not to debate or force agreement, but to help them understand the human being sitting across from them. His work is rooted in a simple conviction: we cannot solve the world’s biggest problems while we hate each other.  In this conversation, Robbie and Larry explore political polarization, empathy, conflict, manipulation, peacebuilding, tribalism, emotion, reason, spirituality, and the psychology of reconciliation. Larry explains what he calls the “enemy’s trance”—the way threat shuts down empathy and makes us vulnerable to believing the worst about other people—and how political and media “enemy makers” can exploit that tendency.  Larry also walks through the practical method he uses with opposing participants: first, let them fight and express their authentic anger; then leave politics behind and reconnect as human beings; rebuild the political disagreement through that human understanding; and finally have each person switch roles and genuinely advocate for their supposed enemy.  The conversation ultimately asks whether peace requires agreement at all—or whether the deeper task is learning to understand, respect, and cooperate with people whose beliefs may remain fundamentally different from our own. His work is informed by years of conflict resolution and mediation, as well as his own experience growing up as both the bully and the bullied.  Through The Enemies Project, Larry has found that when ordinary people are given the opportunity to move beyond threat and genuinely enter one another’s experience, reconciliation is remarkably common. In the interview, he describes the project’s success rate in generating greater goodwill as “nearly a hundred percent.” His broader goal is not to eliminate disagreement, but to help create a society capable of disagreeing without turning neighbors into enemies.

    Victoria Hebbert - Educational Freedom

    Victoria Hebbert joins Live and Let Live to explore one of the most consequential questions we can ask: what is education actually for?Having followed a conventional academic path through Cambridge and Oxford before working in education research and visiting more than 50 schools, Victoria ultimately became convinced that we need to rethink many of our assumptions about how children learn. Today, she home educates her own children and advocates for classical education, educational freedom, and a richer understanding of what it means to form a free and flourishing human being.
