Realms of Curiosity with Sarah & Wendy

Wendy Halley and Sarah Finlay

In a world that feels increasingly chaotic, uncertain, and hard to make sense of, Realms of Curiosity with Sarah and Wendy offers a different kind of conversation. Drawing from shamanic practice, psychology, and decades of firsthand experience with non-ordinary reality, Sarah and Wendy explore the deeper forces shaping our inner and outer worlds—from intuition and consciousness to deception, transformation, and the shifting nature of truth itself. They don’t claim to have answers. Instead, they follow curiosity into the unknown—questioning, exploring, and inviting you to do the same. Because in times like these, curiosity might be one of the most powerful tools we have.

What Is Reality? Exploring Consciousness, Perception & the Unknown

In the Season One finale of Realms of Curiosity, Sarah and Wendy finally explore the question they've been circling all season: What is reality? Drawing on childhood experiences, spiritual encounters, shamanic practice, and decades of exploring consciousness, they reflect on how their perceptions of reality have changed over time. Sarah shares childhood experiences involving spirit guides and “Star Boy,” while Wendy reflects on invisible friends, soul retrieval, soul loss, and recurring imagery from her own journeys. The conversation expands into questions about the limits of human perception, consciousness, timelines, intention, symbolic and energetic realities, and the possibility of interdimensional experience. They also consider how difficult it can be to separate genuine experience from interpretation—and why uncertainty itself can become a reason to keep exploring. Rather than offering a final definition of reality, Sarah and Wendy embrace the mystery. After sixteen episodes of curiosity, questions, and sometimes very strange experiences, Season One ends where perhaps it was always headed: with more questions than answers. 00:52 Why Reality Matters 02:18 Spirit Guide Rescue Story 03:53 Star Boy and Safety 06:37 Paranormal to Shamanism 09:18 Invisible Friends Return 10:22 Soul Retrieval and Lost Children 14:01 How Much Can We Perceive 16:57 Timelines and Splitting Narratives 20:45 Layers of Reality Explained 23:52 Symbolic Shamanic Worlds 24:42 Intention Becomes Reality 26:12 Limits of Human Perception 29:19 Glimpsing Another Realm 34:57 UFOs and Trust Issues 37:35 Life Without a Cellphone 38:57 Curiosity Without Conclusions 40:38 ChatGPT Mirrors Curiosity 43:38 Chaos and Carrying On ______________________ Visit Sarah's websiteVisit Wendy's websiteRealms of Curiosity theme music created by Keen Mixer

Mental Health, Spirituality & the Search for Healing

In this episode of Realms of Curiosity, Sarah and Wendy explore the intersection of mental health, spirituality, and healing. Prompted by a dream, their conversation turns toward the ways spiritual and shamanic practices might complement psychological approaches to healing. They discuss depression, medication, talk therapy, somatic and unconscious approaches, psychedelic experiences, and the importance of integration. They also explore technology addiction and our growing disconnection from nature, along with practices such as labyrinth walking and “stone medicine.” From a shamanic perspective, they consider concepts including fear, disharmony, soul loss, and the possibility of rewriting the personal narratives that shape how we experience ourselves and the world. Throughout the conversation, they emphasize curiosity, discernment, and the understanding that different approaches may be appropriate for different people. Ultimately, the discussion circles back to a question that has been emerging throughout the series: How much does our perception shape the reality we experience? 01:00 Astrology Forecast Talk 03:36 Mental Health Dream Prompt 06:05 Therapy vs Shamanic Work 09:33 Depression and Medication 16:17 Limits of Talk Therapy 18:15 Psychedelics and Integration 25:27 Tech Addiction and Brain 29:32 Nature Connection Heals 30:28 Journeying Tree of Life 31:33 Canyon Walks Stone Medicine 33:55 Labyrinths Letting Go 35:22 Shamanic Illness Remedies 36:50 Rewrite the Story Heal 39:12 Knowing Youre Healed 41:06 What Is Reality 44:44 Simulation: Lucid Dreaming 45:54 Perception Shifts Transition______________________ Visit Sarah's websiteVisit Wendy's websiteRealms of Curiosity theme music created by Keen Mixer

What Counts as a Miracle? Learning to Notice the Miraculous

In this episode of Realms of Curiosity, Sarah and Wendy follow up on their experiment with the intention, “I invite the universe to show me miracles in joyful ways.” When Wendy doesn't notice any obvious synchronicities, they begin questioning what actually qualifies as a miracle. Does the miraculous have to be dramatic, or can it be found in gratitude, abundance, unexpected opportunities, and the way we choose to perceive everyday life? They explore manifestation, action, persistence, openness, trauma, belief patterns, and the possibility that changing our mindset may change what we're able to notice. Sarah shares two experiences she considers miraculous, including the unexpected realization behind the title of her book Allowing the Miraculous and an extraordinary invitation involving a 100-acre property in Virginia. Together, they consider whether miracles are something we create, something we receive, or something we learn to recognize. And their experiment isn't over yet. 00:47 Miracle Experiment Check In 02:07 Buy a Ticket Lesson 03:22 Noticing Everyday Miracles 08:56 Defining What Counts 11:50 Wendy’s Book Breakthrough 15:07 Miracle vs Miraculous 20:40 Reality Field Questions 23:07 Trauma Gets Sticky 24:14 Beliefs Block Manifesting 26:51 Hard Work vs Survival Mode 28:48 Magical Thinking vs Cynicism 30:19 Acceptance as Healing Step 32:25 Miraculous Move to Virginia 37:43 Miraculous Mindset Practice ______________________ Visit Sarah's websiteVisit Wendy's websiteRealms of Curiosity theme music created by Keen Mixer

What If Your Beliefs Shape Your Reality?

In this episode of Realms of Curiosity, Sarah and Wendy continue their exploration of fate, free will, belief, and the nature of reality. After informally asking friends and clients whether they believe in fate, they reflect on the many people who feel that certain major events and relationships in their lives seemed destined to happen. They also consider whether fate and personal agency can coexist, and discuss the uncomfortable transitional periods when life seems to be waiting for something new to emerge. The conversation then expands into the relationship between belief and perception. Drawing from therapeutic work, shamanic perspectives, Hawaiian teachings, and personal experience, Sarah and Wendy explore the possibility that our beliefs—shaped by wounds, experiences, and expectations—may influence the reality we perceive. They also discuss oversouls, soul groups, karma, past-life impressions, and the ways shared beliefs can shape both individual and collective experience. As always, the conversation remains exploratory, open-ended, and grounded in curiosity rather than certainty. 00:42 LA Love Hate 01:14 Survey On Fate 04:09 Fated Love Stories 06:07 Orchestration And Free Will 08:25 Restless Waiting For Signs 12:06 Beliefs Shape Reality 17:21 Hawaiian Wisdom And Sprites 22:30 Born Esoteric And Oversoul 24:19 Soul Groups and Agreements 25:31 Magnetic Encounters and Free Will 26:50 How Much Is Fated 28:09 Rethinking Karma 29:51 Past Life in Hollywood Hills 34:01 What Even Is Reality 35:04 How We Met and Podcast Origin 38:32 Beliefs Shape Experience 40:35 Cults and the Power of Belief 42:51 Next Time Reality Questions ______________________ Visit Sarah's websiteVisit Wendy's websiteRealms of Curiosity theme music created by Keen Mixer
