The Child Behind the Trigger: Who is Manifesting Your Life? — Healing Hidden Blocks with Ning Li

EPISODE 21 - SEASON 2 PREMIERE What if the thing standing between you and the life you desire is not a lack of faith, but a younger part of you that does not feel safe enough to receive it? Recorded from Grand Lake, Colorado, Zan and Troy welcome Ning Li, creator of Inner Child Alchemy. Ning shares how achievement, financial success and relationships failed to heal what was hurting beneath the surface. Reading The Truth by Neil Strauss led him to a therapy conference and an inner-child letter-writing practice that changed his life. Ning explains how present-day conflict, rejection, money, visibility and love can awaken fear, shame or scarcity rooted in childhood. Our triggers may not prove we are failing. They may reveal the subconscious blocks standing between us and what we want to create. We explore reparenting the younger self, healing through conscious relationships and why manifestation may be less about forcing a "high vibration" and more about listening to the parts of us that are afraid to receive. IN THIS EPISODE Childhood triggersInner-child lettersReparentingShame and scarcity KEY TAKEAWAYS Triggers can reveal where healing is needed.Shame is learned; it is not who you are.Fear may reveal what feels unsafe to receive.New responses create new possibilities. When the Path Disappears: Trust, Intuition & Knowing When to Turn Around

What happens when the path you thought you were following simply… disappears? Coming to you from Wyoming and the Grand Tetons, Episode 22 of the Sacred Souljourners Podcast continues our Season 2 exploration of one powerful word: TRUST. After months on the road—two humans, three dogs and a travel trailer—we're discovering that trust isn't something you simply decide to have. It's something you practice. In this episode, we share a recent hike where the trail became increasingly unclear until eventually…the path disappeared. What began as an adventure in nature became a real-life lesson in intuition. When do you keep pushing forward? When do you stop? How do you distinguish fear from the inner voice telling you it's time to turn around? We're learning that intuition isn't always a booming voice. Sometimes it's a nudge. A feeling. A moment of resistance. A hawk circling overhead. A stranger who appears at exactly the right time. Or a quiet knowing that says, “Not this way.” We also talk about boondocking in Wyoming, navigating challenges in our relationship, preparing for colder weather, unexpected “divine appointments,” and learning to surrender our need to know exactly how everything is going to work out. At the center of this conversation is a question we're both learning to live: Can you trust when you don't have confirmation that everything is going to be okay? Troy shares how his relationship with trust is changing—from needing proof and certainty to recognizing that he may not know how something will work out and still trust that somehow, it will. Maybe that's part of learning to hear our intuition. When we stop trying to control every outcome, we create enough stillness to hear the part of ourselves that already knows. This isn't about blindly following every feeling. It's about becoming curious enough to ask: What is fear saying? What is my intuition saying? Am I forcing something because I'm afraid to turn around? What might happen if I trusted myself enough to listen? 🔥 Pull up a seat around the fire. If you've ever reached a place in life where the map no longer makes sense, this conversation is for you. Sometimes losing the path doesn't mean you're lost. Sometimes it's the moment you finally learn to listen. The Inner Ping: Trusting the Quiet Voice Within & Healing the Mother Wound

🔥 EPISODE 23: THE INNER PING Trusting the Quiet Voice Within & Healing Your Mother Wound With Ashleigh Sinclaire, Transformational Storyteller What if your intuition isn’t the loudest voice in the room—but the quietest? Recorded beside the river at Aspen Grove Campground in northern Montana, this intimate campfire conversation welcomes transformational storyteller, irreverent provocateur, and self-described “angelic badass” Ashleigh Sinclaire. Ashleigh introduces us to what she calls “the inner ping”—the subtle sensation that arises when something deep within recognizes the next right step. Unlike fear, conditioning, or the racing mind, this knowing doesn’t shout. It arrives quietly, simply, and often in only a few words. Together, Zan, Troy, and Ashleigh explore: 🔥 Distinguishing intuition from fear, ego, and old wounds 🔥 Why the loudest inner voice isn’t always the truest 🔥 How nature, silence, and grounding return us to ourselves 🔥 Seeing our mothers as women with their own histories and wounds 🔥 Healing without waiting for someone else to change or apologize 🔥 Sitting at the edge of difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed 🔥 Releasing resistance and learning to “adjust everywhere” Ashleigh also shares the story behind The Mother Monologues, her deeply personal one-woman show exploring the complicated, painful, funny, and ultimately transformative journey between mother and daughter. The conversation becomes especially vulnerable as Zan and Troy examine their own relationships with their mothers, the wounds they still carry, and the possibility that healing begins when we stop trying to control another person’s journey and turn toward our own. Sometimes the next step isn’t a dramatic revelation. Sometimes it is one quiet ping asking us to pause, listen, breathe, and trust ourselves. 🔥 CAMPFIRE QUESTION When the noise of fear, expectation, and conditioning becomes quiet, what is your inner knowing trying to tell you? Healing in Real Time: What Happens when old triggers show up

Can you really be healing if the same old wounds keep triggering you? In Episode 24 of the Sacred Souljourners Podcast, Zan Kavanah and Troy Hawkner sit around a real campfire in Oregon to talk about childhood wounds, emotional triggers, conscious relationships, rebuilding trust, and what healing looks like when life gets messy. We're not speaking from the other side of healing. We're living it in real time. After traveling through Idaho's hot springs and into Oregon, we've had breakthroughs—and moments when old patterns returned. Troy shares how questioning the stories and assumptions in his mind helped him respond instead of react. Zan talks about standing in her truth, setting boundaries, and stepping away from the need to defend herself. Sometimes the win isn't that you stopped getting triggered. It's that you recognized the pattern and made a different choice. 🔥 AROUND THE CAMPFIREWhy childhood wounds still trigger usAwareness versus doing the shadow workHow assumptions and past trauma affect relationshipsResponding instead of reacting during conflictHolding boundaries without losing yourselfJournaling for emotional healingLessons from Bonneville and Crane Hot SpringsUsing Curious Cards to interrupt old patterns🔥 DISCOVER YOUR SOULJOURNER FLAME — FREE QUIZCampfire Keeper, Bridge Builder, Truth Seeker, Wayfinder, Story Weaver, or Mystic?
