    Disney Adults are the WORST!

Send us Fan Mail Disney adults get mocked nonstop, but we decided to aim the spotlight where it really hurts: our own credit cards. Jamie comes in swinging with “Disney adults are ruining Disney,” and Pete responds with the only defense that matters, “you are a Disney adult.” From there, we spiral into the best kind of honesty: embarrassing fandom moments, Disney merch creeping into your home decor, and the uncomfortable line between “fun hobby” and “cry for help.”  Then we get into the stuff that makes a Disney vacation feel different now. We talk Lightning Lane culture, paying extra to skip misery you already paid for, and how Walt Disney World pricing quietly creates two totally different trips depending on what you add on. We also tackle festival food and drink inflation, limited-time collectibles, and why Disney is a master at turning FOMO into “take my money.” As travel advisors, we bring it back to real-world trip planning and budgeting, including how families can still have a great time without spending VIP tour money.  We also go after the hype machine. Disney influencers can build expectations so high that your real trip feels like a letdown, even when nothing is actually “wrong.” And yes, we debate “luxury” Disney resorts like the Grand Floridian versus true five-star hotels, plus a spicy take on why Disneyland Paris sometimes does the same attractions better.  If you love Disney but hate what it does to your wallet, you’ll feel seen. Subscribe, share with your favorite Disney adult, and leave a review, then message us your most unpopular Disney opinion. Disneyland Paris Part Deux

Send us Fan Mail Disneyland Paris can feel like a dream and a dare at the same time. After spending part one on the rides and all the ways the park seems proudly unbothered by our feelings, we come back for the stuff we barely touched: entertainment, food, characters, and the real-world cost of trying to “do it all” in one day. We talk honestly about skipping the daytime parade and most stage shows, then realizing the nighttime spectacular Disney Tales of Magic might be the biggest miss, especially with drones in the mix. If you’ve ever wondered whether drone technology actually makes fireworks better, we get into that, plus the simple logistics that decide whether you’ll stay late: on-property hotels like Sequoia Lodge vs commuting back to central Paris. Then we hit the spicy topics. Disneyland Paris dining in France should be a layup, but a lot of it lands as over-Americanized and underwhelming, with a few standout snacks near Arendelle and some intriguing themed restaurants like Bistrot Chez Remy and Captain Jack’s. We also share our best advice for character experiences, including why roaming interactions can beat long lines, and we break down Disney Premier Access One vs Premier Access Ultimate with a clear verdict: it can be “worth it” for two adults and wildly impractical for a family of five. If you’re planning a Disneyland Paris trip, want smart travel tips, or just enjoy unfiltered Disney debate, hit play. Subscribe, share this with your favorite park-planner, and leave a review with your take: would you spend your last dinner in the park or take the train back into Paris? Disneyland Paris Chooses Violence — Part Un: Rides, Parks & a Dragon Under the Castle

Send us Fan Mail Disneyland Paris has a reputation for being “the same but in French” until you actually ride the rides and realize it is playing a different game. We’re back from our trips and comparing notes on the biggest surprises, the best planning moves, and why this resort can feel more intense, more atmospheric, and more adult than what many Americans expect from Disney. We get practical first: how to get from Paris to Disneyland Paris on the RER A train to Marne-la-Vallée Chessy, how long it takes, and why staying on property can be a real cheat code. We talk Extra Magic Time, bundled ticket packages, and what changes when you’re in the Disney bubble versus commuting from the city. If you’re trying to do both parks in a tight window, this part will save you steps, time, and frustration. Then we get into the fun stuff: Hyperspace Mountain that launches like a missile, an Indiana Jones coaster that goes harder than you’d guess, Phantom Manor’s darker storyline, Tower of Terror’s rapid-fire drops, and the small details that make Disneyland Paris feel bold. We also hit Disney Adventure World highlights like Avengers Campus, Web Slingers, Ratatouille, Cars Road Trip, and the new Arendelle land, including why Frozen Ever After feels like it was built for the story instead of squeezed into an old ride system. We wrap with the bigger question: how French should Disneyland Paris feel, how Americanized should it become, and what cultural differences around service, dining, and pacing you should expect. If this helped, subscribe, share it with a Disney friend planning Europe, and leave us a review. What’s the one attraction you’d fly to Paris to ride? Slow September Is Dead: Disney World News You Can Actually Use

Send us Fan Mail Slow September is the biggest Disney myth that won’t die and the crowds are proving it. We’re talking about the late-September surge that’s been heavy enough to mess with availability and push Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind toward a three-hour posted wait. Food and Wine, Halloween season, passholders, locals, weekends, and “everyone got the memo” all collide, and we break down the planning truth: there’s no guaranteed dead season at Walt Disney World anymore, so you need a strategy that matches your calendar, not TikTok’s. Then we hit the rapid-fire Disney news that actually helps you plan. We react to Disney “responding” to our worst rides take by adding Toy Story 5 Lilypad music to Alien Swirling Saucers, and we’re honest about whether a small refresh changes anything. We also pull out the calendars for EPCOT festival dates in 2027, including Festival of the Arts and Flower and Garden, plus what makes each one worth a trip if you care about food, entertainment, and vibe. Finally, we get practical: Disney After Hours dates and why we’d build a trip around the right party night, and Candlelight Processional details including celebrity narrators and the simplest way to lock in seating through dining packages. We even cover the strange return of Turf Club at Saratoga Springs, a new pianist at Casey’s Corner, and what to make of early Pirates permits. Subscribe for more no-fluff Disney vacation planning, share this with a friend who still believes in “slow season,” and leave a review with your take: which narrator would you go to EPCOT to see? Disney Mom Mode: Strollers, Snacks & Disney World Meltdowns

Send us Fan Mail Pete ditches us for vacation, so I bring in the one guest who has survived more Disney trips with me than anyone else: my wife, Ani. She didn’t grow up as a Walt Disney World kid, but she did grow up on classic Disney movies, and her first real park experience came after we got married, when I made the rookie mistake of trying to do everything at once. That early chaos becomes the launch point for a blunt, funny, and surprisingly useful look at how Disney travel changes when you’re balancing marriage, kids, energy, and expectations. We talk about what Disney does better than other vacations, including the cast member moments that feel genuinely magical, and what it does worse, like price gouging and the pressure to squeeze value out of every minute. Ani gives the spouse view of traveling with a Disney planner who is always in the My Disney Experience app, constantly chasing Lightning Lane timing, rope drop wins, and (sometimes) sanity. We also get real about the stressful side of planning, from 6 a.m. dining reservations to coordinating a large group trip without losing your mind. Then we switch to the “mom perspective” that most planning guides miss: why a stroller still matters, how snacks and breaks prevent meltdowns, why extra clothes can save a night, and the moment you know it’s time to leave the park even if you paid a lot to be there. We wrap with rapid-fire favorites, resort talk, and what we hope our kids remember about these Disney family vacations when they’re older. Subscribe for more real-world Disney planning advice, share this with a parent who needs it, and leave a review if the tips help. What’s the one thing that always makes or breaks your Disney trip? Is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Worth It in 2026?

Send us Fan Mail You can call it “a Halloween party for kids” right up until you’re quietly plotting how to out-position a seven-year-old for a better view of the Headless Horseman. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom is expensive, it can be crowded, and it absolutely can be worth it if you know what you’re buying and how to use the night. We get honest about the ticket price, the early chaos at the front of the park, and why a little strategy turns this Disney World Halloween event into one of the best nights of the year. We break down what you really get: rare character sightings, trick-or-treat trails with genuinely good candy, exclusive merch, and entertainment that feels like classic Magic Kingdom turned up to maximum. We talk parade priorities (yes, Boo To You is the main event), why the gravediggers have a cult following, and what makes the atmosphere hit so hard once the crowds finally spread out. You’ll also get our practical planning tips, including when to enter, how to avoid the checkpoint crush, and why bringing a backup bag or pillowcase is the simplest “pro move” of the whole night. Then we go tactical: the Jack and Sally approach that can save you a brutal wait, whether the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular is worth stopping for, and how we use fireworks time to walk onto rides. If you love thrills, we also get into the Space Mountain overlay in near-total darkness. We wrap by comparing Not-So-Scary to Disney After Hours parties, and why these extra-ticket events can be the easiest way to enjoy attractions without living inside Lightning Lane decisions. Subscribe for more real-world Disney planning, share this with your favorite Halloween person, and leave a review if our tips help you win the night. The WORST Rides At Walt Disney World

Send us Fan Mail If Disney handed you a bulldozer and said, “Pick one ride to remove tomorrow,” could you actually choose? We do, and we don’t make it easy on each other. We each secretly pick the worst ride in every Walt Disney World park, then defend our hot takes with the only rule that matters: “worst” doesn’t always mean terrible, it means the wait and the time cost don’t pay you back.  We start in Magic Kingdom with a debate about kiddie coasters, park geography and why some attractions eat crowds while giving almost nothing in return. Then we get brutally honest about how much nostalgia can warp ride rankings, especially when standby waits explode. If you’ve ever wondered whether a lightning lane is the only way a classic is worth it, you’ll hear our full reasoning.  From there, we head to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios where motion sickness, outdated concepts and chaotic gameplay take center stage. Mission Space sparks the big question: should an attraction stay if it consistently makes guests feel awful? And on the screen-ride side, we argue about whether “button mashing and crashing” belongs in a premium theme park experience. We wrap with Animal Kingdom touring strategy, including why some beautiful rides still become easy skips when the wait time gets silly.  We finish with a final four bracket and crown our official “worst ride at Walt Disney World,” then hit a quick bonus round of “I don’t get the hype.” Subscribe, share this with your Disney group chat, and leave a review. Which ride would you bulldoze first, and what would you replace it with? Before you go, make sure you subscribe to The Worst: Beyond the Magic wherever you listen to podcasts. Disney World Has Changed: Is the Magic Gone?

Send us Fan Mail Disney isn’t what it used to be. Neither are we. That’s the uncomfortable starting point for a real conversation about “Disney magic” and why so many Disney World trips feel harder to enjoy now, even when the parks are bigger, newer, and packed with more to do than ever. We’re Disney planners who know the systems, the strategy, and the price tags, so we talk candidly about what’s changed: crowds that erase “hidden gems,” the shift from free FastPass to paid Lightning Lane options, the pressure to plan every hour, and the way money makes you measure every moment for “value.” We also admit how much of the stress is self-inflicted when we treat a vacation like a military operation, keep our phones out all day, and consume influencer lists that turn wonder into a checklist. Then we get personal. We share two memories that still define the magic: a parent-and-kid fireworks moment over the castle, and a cast member surprise that turned a toddler’s silly jumping into a core family memory. Those are the reminders that you can’t fully manufacture the best parts of Disney, and you can’t demand them into existence either. You can only set the conditions: realistic expectations, smart planning where it helps, and enough openness to let something unplanned land. We close with the “Disney amnesia test”: if you woke up tomorrow with zero nostalgia and visited Disney World exactly as it is today, would you fall in love with it? Listen, then share your answer with us, subscribe for more honest trip talk, and if you enjoyed it, send this to a friend who’s debating whether the magic is gone. Before you go, make sure you subscribe to The Worst: Beyond the Magic wherever you listen to podcasts. Subscribing is the best way to make sure you never miss a new episode.
