This is my journal. A collection of stories from my life — the funny ones, the messy ones, the ordinary ones, and the moments that mean more than I realized at the time. I’m documenting life as it happens and sharing what I find along the way, with God at the center of it all. Welcome to the scribbled pages. 🤍

The Good Life Is Already Happening

Our tickets were stolen. The replacement seats dropped to $5. I said I didn’t need a bouncy ball—and then had way too much fun outside the mall. Welcome to page two of my journal. There’s football, a self-driving fail, a very brave deer, and a river overflowing its banks. Somewhere between joining in the fun and stopping to explore, I found myself asking: have I truly been present? I’m sharing a few moments from life lately, including a quieter reflection on seasons when I wondered whether the Lord heard me, His timing, and the new growth I noticed where everything had been underwater. And then the mosquitoes interrupted. 😂 This is my journal.Life with God, as it happens.

The Crow, the Tomatoes, and Everything in Between

A tire that almost ruined my Chicago plans, more tomatoes than anyone knows what to do with, an injured crow named Chester, a lesson from my five-year-old nephew, and one very unexpected conversation. Just a few pages from my life lately — and the little ways I’m learning to notice God in all of it. 🤍 This is my journal.Life with God, as it happens.

Avoidant Mondays | When Productivity Is Actually Avoidance

Every Monday, I told myself this week would be different. I kept thinking I had a content problem. Then I thought I had an organization problem. But eventually I started noticing something else: I was avoiding. Maybe sometimes growth isn’t always becoming someone who never struggles with the thing again. Maybe sometimes it’s learning to recognize it sooner.

I Thought God Was Delaying Me. I Was Wrong.

I thought I knew how this day was going to go. Instead, there was a delayed flight, a downpour, a rental car, traffic, and a coffee shop — and somewhere in all of it, I realized that what I thought was God delaying me might have been something else entirely. This is my journal.Life with God, as it happens.

I Almost Got Towed… Then I Lost My Wallet

I was careless. Twice. 😂  And somehow, both times, God met me with grace. From forgetting to pay a parking meter and nearly getting towed, to losing my wallet at the county fair, this is one of those stories where the ordinary details of life became little reminders of God’s grace. God is faithful. God hears you.

I Left Amazon Because God Said “Follow Me”

I loved my job. I loved the city I lived in. Nothing was falling apart — and somehow, I knew it was time to leave. After a year of wrestling with God, I quit my six-figure job at Amazon, moved away from a city I loved, and went full-time on something I had already tried — and failed at — for nearly a decade. This is the story of what happened when God didn't give me the five-year plan I wanted. He just kept saying, “Follow me.”
