    Finding Yourself Beyond the Illness

Finding Yourself Beyond the Illness 🌙 When you live with chronic illness, pain, or fatigue, it can slowly become part of the way you see yourself. Your days may begin to revolve around symptoms. Your plans are shaped by your energy levels. Your choices are influenced by what your body can or cannot manage. And somewhere along the way, you may begin to wonder: Who am I outside of my illness? In this episode of Mystic Catchers, we gently explore what it means to rediscover yourself beyond chronic illness — not by pretending the illness isn’t there, and not by forcing yourself to become the person you were before. Instead, we explore identity rebuilding. The small pieces of yourself that are still there. Your creativity.
Your sensitivity.
Your interests.
Your connection with nature.
Your ability to dream, create, feel and become. Finding yourself again doesn’t necessarily mean doing more. Sometimes, it means slowing down enough to notice what has been there all along. You are not your symptoms. You are not your hardest days. You are not defined by what your body struggles with. You are still a whole, complex and evolving person. So take a breath, settle in, and gently ask yourself: “Who am I… beyond this moment of pain?” You don’t need to have the answer. You only need to begin exploring. 🌙 Mystic Catchers is a soulful space for conversations around chronic illness, healing, identity, rest, emotional wellbeing and learning to live gently within a body that may not always cooperate. Thank you for being here. Protect your energy, honor your body, and remember… You are still whole.

Flare Days: How to Cope Spiritually & Emotionally | Episode 6

Welcome, beautiful soul 🌙 You’re listening to Mystic Catchers — a space where we gently hold the parts of ourselves that feel heavy, unseen, or misunderstood. In Episode 6, we’re talking about something that many people living with chronic illness know all too well: flare days. The days when everything hurts.
When your energy disappears.
When plans have to change.
When pain becomes louder than everything else. And sometimes, the hardest part isn’t only physical. Flare days can bring frustration, sadness, overwhelm and grief — grief for the day you thought you were going to have, and for the version of yourself you wish you could be on those days. But what if a flare day didn’t have to be something you fought against? In this episode, we explore gentle ways to support yourself spiritually and emotionally when your body is asking you to slow down. ✨ Grounding practices for overwhelming moments
🌿 Connecting with nature
🕯️ Creating gentle self-soothing rituals
💜 Crystals and comforting spiritual practices
🌸 Aromatherapy and calming rituals
☕ Creating moments of comfort and stillness
🌙 Learning to rest without guilt
🤍 Meeting yourself with deeper compassion This episode isn’t about fixing the flare. It’s about learning how to support yourself through it. Sometimes rest becomes the ritual. Sometimes stillness is enough. And sometimes, simply allowing yourself to do less is exactly what your body needs. If you’re having a flare day today, take a deep breath and remember: You don’t have to push through everything. You don’t have to be productive to be worthy. You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to feel what you feel.
You are allowed to simply be. And most importantly… You are still whole, no matter what phase of life you are in. 🌙 🎧 Thank you for joining me for Episode 6 of Mystic Catchers. Protect your energy.
Honour your body.
And meet yourself gently. — Jasmine-Leigh
