    The CFL West playoff race just changed in a major way. On Episode 18 of North of the End Zone, Geono Aloisio and Brady Locke break down Calgary’s statement win over Saskatchewan and what it means for a suddenly chaotic final stretch. The Stampeders are now sitting in a playoff spot and look like a team that may be getting hot at exactly the right time. Vernon Adams Jr. continues to carry the offence, while Calgary’s defence did enough to keep Saskatchewan chasing the game for most of the night. On the other side, the Roughriders missed an opportunity to clinch a playoff berth and now face a much more difficult path. Trevor Harris piled up yards, but how much of that production actually mattered? What happened to Saskatchewan’s offence when the game was still within reach?     The CFL playoff picture is getting clearer — but the list of teams we actually trust heading into November might be getting more complicated. On Episode 19 of The National Rundown, the guys recap another pivotal week. Toronto escaped Winnipeg with another gritty victory, further strengthening its position in the East. But with Dru Brown making costly fourth-quarter mistakes and Zach Collaros on the six-game injured list, how much can the Bombers be trusted down the stretch?     North of the End Zone Ep. 16 | Toronto Clinches, Calgary Survives & Which CFL Defence Can You Trust?

    What looked like one of the quieter weeks on the CFL schedule ended up giving us plenty to talk about. On Episode 16 of North of the End Zone, Geono Aloisio and Brady Locke start in Calgary, where the Stampeders escaped with a 40-38 win over the still-winless Ottawa Redblacks thanks to a 62-yard Rene Paredes field goal. Deonta McMahon, Jalen Philpot and Tevin Jones all delivered offensively — but after allowing 38 points and five touchdowns, how much confidence should Calgary really take from the win? Then it’s Toronto, where the Argonauts clinched a playoff berth and secured the second seed in the East with a 24-19 win over Edmonton. Toronto’s defence came through when it mattered with two end-zone interceptions, while Chad Kelly and the passing attack repeatedly burned Edmonton for explosive plays despite the Argos finishing with virtually no rushing attack. For the Elks, it was another gritty performance — only this time the late-game plays didn’t go their way.
