    The Pattern of Hiding

Rocky Lind grew up in what looked like a normal, loving home: a former Marine dad, two older sisters, and sports, his safe place to quietly hide. It took a breaking point in his marriage, a spirituality workshop he never expected to attend, and years of inner work to see what had been quietly shaping him. In this conversation, Rocky names the pattern he inherited, hiding and fawning to keep the peace, and shares how inner child work helped him stop blaming his ten-year-old self for not being "man enough." We talk about comparative suffering, redefining masculinity and courage, and the simple question he now asks before every choice: am I doing this from love, or for love? This episode centers on the Naming and Restoring phases of cycle-breaking work. Support the Podcast Your support means the world and is deeply appreciated. The Pattern That Ended at Twelve

Yasmine Beydoun returns for part two of her story. This time as a mother navigating her son's years-long battle with juvenile arthritis, from a wheelchair in Lisbon to a doctor who dismissed her instincts. Yasmine shares how she learned to trust her own inner knowing over medical authority and community pressure, how she held boundaries even her own mother struggled with, and how creating safety for her son to speak his fear out loud changed them both. The episode closes with a moment neither of them saw coming: three generations of women in her family carried trauma at age twelve, and this time, the pattern broke. This episode centers on the Repatterning and Generational Renewal phases of cycle-breaking work. To learn more about Yasmine, visit here. Crazy, Control, Criticism: Naming the Pattern That Ran My Life

Yasmine Beydoun grew up Lebanese, "of the world" ,  five schools in five years, a childhood shaped by displacement, war, and a body that learned to brace before it learned to rest. To survive it, she built what she calls "the Charmer": funny, agreeable, always ready to say yes. It followed her into corporate life, into addiction, into motherhood , until a stillbirth and her son's illness broke something open. In this conversation, Yasmine names the pattern she inherited in three words,  Crazy, Control, Criticism, and traces how compassionate inquiry, not shame, became her way back to herself. We talk about reframing addiction as medicine rather than moral failure, what it costs a child when a parent can't repair, and what shifted once she started modeling "I'm sorry" instead of demanding perfection. This is a conversation about mothering yourself first, so you can mother differently. This episode belongs to the Generational Renewal phase of the cycle-breaking journey, the moment a pattern stops living in the next generation because someone chose to interrupt it. See Yasmine's work here.  Support the Podcast Your support means the world and is deeply appreciated. The Man I Want My Daughters to Marry

At fourteen, Brian survived a brain tumor, emergency surgery, and a fifty-fifty chance of waking up. What he carried afterward wasn't just gratitude, it was a shield: an unspoken decision to never add more pain to a family already breaking under what had happened. In this episode, Brian shares how that shield quietly became a lifelong pattern of defensiveness and "type A-ness," one he couldn't fully see until it started showing up in his own children. From a competitive childhood to letting go of the identity he'd built around his career title, Brian opens up about ego, accountability, and choosing to be the first one to change, for his marriage, his kids, and the man he wants his daughters to one day marry.  Together, we explore compassion, leadership by example, and what it costs to keep protecting an ego that was never protecting anyone.  This episode sits primarily in the Repatterning phase of cycle breaking, choosing something new and practicing it even when it's unfamiliar, with strong threads of Releasing woven throughout as Brian lets go of the ego, status, and armor that once felt like survival. The Hidden Family Pattern That Keeps Us Stuck

Have you ever found yourself caught in the middle of someone else's conflict? Or perhaps you've reached out to someone else before having the difficult conversation you knew you needed to have? In this short solo episode, I explore the often-overlooked family dynamic of triangulation. What it is, why so many of us unconsciously fall into it, and how it quietly keeps relationships stuck. I share why I believe we often seek relief instead of resolution, why direct conversations can feel so difficult, and how choosing curiosity over alliances can become a powerful act of healing. Whether this pattern shows up in your family, your friendships, or your workplace, my hope is that this episode invites you to notice it with compassion, name it, and begin choosing a different way. This conversation is part of the Naming phase of the cycle-breaking journey, where we begin to recognize inherited patterns so we can stop carrying them unconsciously and start creating healthier ones instead. The Patterns That Live in Our Nervous System

Hazel Swayne grew up in a home filled with love, and unpredictability. As a child, she learned to protect others, keep the peace, and make sure everyone around her was okay. Those patterns followed her into adulthood, shaping how she parented, led, and showed up in relationships. In this conversation, Hazel shares how learning to set healthier boundaries has transformed her parenting and the legacy she’s leaving behind. Together, we explore people-pleasing, parentification, fear-based parenting, presence, and why breaking cycles isn't about becoming perfect, but about choosing differently, one moment at a time. In this episode we highlight the Repatterning phase of Branch Out's Cycle Breaking framework. Support the Podcast Your support means the world and is deeply appreciated. How We Stop Passing Pain to Our Children

We often believe healing happens the moment we understand our past. But awareness is only the beginning.   In this conversation, I sit down with Genoveva La Placa to explore what happens after we recognize the patterns we've inherited. Together we discuss how true transformation comes through practice, presence, and the courage to respond differently, even when old patterns still feel familiar. Geno shares her journey from chronic striving, suppressed emotions, and perfectionism to a life grounded in authenticity, compassion, and deeper connection with herself, her husband, and her three daughters. Together we explore why emotions are not problems to fix but messengers to listen to, how our children often reflect the places we still need to grow, and why lasting change happens not by learning more, but by embodying a new way of being. This conversation is an invitation to pause, feel, and remember that every new response creates a different future, not only for ourselves, but for the generations that follow.  This episode is part of the Repatterning and Integrating phases of the cycle-breaking journey, where awareness becomes embodied choice, and new ways of living begin to feel like home. When the Inherited Story No Longer Fits

As a child, Sophie learned that being responsible, high-achieving, and easy was the safest way to earn love and attention. Beneath her success lived inherited beliefs about worth, security, independence, and what it meant to be a woman. In this conversation, Sophie shares how the loss of her father, the influence of two very different female role models, and her struggle to decide whether to have children forced her to question what truly belonged to her and what she had been carrying for others. Together, we explore performance, self-compassion, intuition, and the freedom that comes from choosing your own path. This episode sits primarily in the Releasing phase of cycle breaking, letting go of inherited fears, expectations, and loyalties that no longer serve. Yet it also carries strong elements of Restoring, as Sophie reconnects with her inner wisdom, learns to trust herself, and remembers who she was beneath the conditioning.
