    In this bonus episode of The Monitor Files, we dig into the uncomfortable truth behind the UAW’s public reform image and the private conduct exposed through the federal monitor’s reports. This episode looks at the disturbing parallels between Ray Curry withholding documents from the monitor and Shawn Fain later being accused of similar obstruction after campaigning on transparency, accountability, and reform. We break down how UAWD and the Members United movement treated the monitor’s intervention as a victory when it exposed Curry, but how many of the same voices suddenly changed their tone when Shawn Fain became the one under scrutiny. We also examine the role of Fain’s loyalists and political defenders, the hypocrisy of cheering oversight when it hurts your opponent but attacking it when it threatens your own side, and why real reform cannot depend on personality worship or selective outrage.
