Be One with Jesus // Evangelism for Normal People

Everyone is born in Adam, destined to perish. But Jesus calls people to be one with him, to share in his joy. Sharing the gospel includes speaking about judgement and hell. It prepares the way to proclaim Jesus as the way to eternal life in the place of eternal death, turning hell into heaven. Four "seeds" to sow into conversation to get to talking about Jesus' solution to what's wrong in the world and how we can be one with Jesus: What gets you down? What gets you through? That's why I'm weird...That's what I love about my church...This is the final of four seminars in the Evangelism for Normal People track at Rising Lights (6-10 April, 2026). ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Glen Scrivener is a speaker, writer, and ordained Church of England minister. He serves as the Director of Speak Life, an evangelistic ministry that seeks, through preaching and media, to captivate both church and world with the love of Jesus. The World is Shaped by Two Representatives // Evangelism for Normal People

Adam represents life as it is, in all its fallenness and death and curse. Jesus represents life as it's meant to be, in all its life, light, and love. Speaking in these categories can help us share the good news of Jesus with those around us. This seminar begins with a Q&A. This is the third of four seminars in the Evangelism for Normal People track at Rising Lights (6-10 April, 2026). God is a Loving Union of Three // Evangelism for Normal People

It is fruitful in evangelism to be Trinitarian, speaking speaking of the true God of the Bible: Jesus, the Son of the Father who is filled with the Holy Spirit. Because the kind of God we believe in is key to why we believe in him. Two "seeds" to sow into conversation to get to talking about this God are: Which God do you believe in / which god don't you believe in?That's what I love about Christianity. This seminar is followed by a Q&A. This is the second of four seminars in the Evangelism for Normal People track at Rising Lights (6-10 April, 2026). Jesus is Lord // Evangelism for Normal People

Jesus taught that evangelism is like a farmer sowing seeds, falling in different places with different results (Matthew 13:1-23). The job of normal people who want to share the gospel is simply to "sow seeds" to help people see that Jesus is Lord and that he reveals the truth about life. In the first part of the Evangelism for Normal People track at Rising Lights 2026, Glen Scrivener introduces different "seeds" for people to sow into conversation to help point them to Jesus. This is the first of four seminars in the Evangelism for Normal People track at Rising Lights (6-10 April, 2026). ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Glen Scrivener is a speaker, writer, and ordained Church of England minister. The Lord Listens to Moses (Exodus 32)

This section of Exodus is one of the most remarkable of the Old Testament as Moses intercedes for his people and the Lord listens, despite his fierce anger. In it, we are shown the power of intercession and the need for someone to stand in the breach for us; none other than the Lord Jesus Christ himself. This is the third of four messages given during the evening celebrations at Rising Lights 2026 (6-10 April, 2026). ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Rick serves as Pastor of All Nations Church Barkingside, North East London. He is married to Esther and they have a young energetic son. The Lord Uses Moses (Exodus 14:13-22 & Psalm 77)

The Passover and subsequent flight from Egypt is the great redemption story of the Old Testament and becomes the paradigm for all of salvation. Moses is used by the Lord to lead his people out despite their fear. The Lord sets Moses before the people and, following him, they are led to safety and salvation. This is the second of four messages given during the evening celebrations at Rising Lights 2026 (6-10 April, 2026). ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Maurice McCracken is the Lead Minister of Christ Church Liverpool, and has led the staff team there for 15 years. The Lord Calls Moses (Exodus 3:1-15)

Moses’ encounter with the Lord in Exodus 3 is, in one sense, unique. Yet in it, God reveals his character, his plan for salvation, and his desire to use humans to serve his purposes. This is the first of four messages given during the evening celebrations at Rising Lights 2026 (6-10 April, 2026). ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Mike Cain is one of the senior pastors of Emmanuel Bristol, having previously served in churches in London and Leipzig. Humility (Philippians 2:1-18)

Christians are to imitate Christ, and Philippians 2 helps us see what that looks like. Philippians 2 instructs Christians to be united (v1-2) and humble (v3-4). It talks of two journeys: from the glory of heaven to the cross of Calvary (v6-8), and from the grave to the place of highest exaltation (v9-11). It offers two applications: work out your salvation (v12-13), and shine like stars (v14-18). This is the second of four Bible ministry messages given at Rising Lights (6-10 April, 2026). About the speaker: Paul Mallard is FIEC's Director for the West Midlands and the chair of FIEC's Theology Team, helping churches and leaders to think through the key theological challenges facing us in 21st Century Britain. Invincible Joy (Philippians 1:12-30)

Although he is chained in prison, Paul has an invincible joy. In Philippians 1, he explains exactly why. In Philippians 1 we see that Paul is totally committed to the gospel of God (v12-18), totally convinced of the provision of God (v18-20), and totally captivated by the Son of God (v21-26). This is the first of four Bible ministry messages given at Rising Lights (6-10 April, 2026).
