    15. The HUMAN Method, Step 1: Build an Email List That Actually Grows Your Business

Hot take: stop obsessing over followers and start collecting email addresses. In today's episode, I'm sharing exactly how to grow an email list that actually leads to sales. From creating irresistible lead magnets (aka sign up incentives or freebies) to avoiding the biggest list-building mistakes, this is your step-by-step guide to building an audience you actually own. I also break down why discounts aren't the best way to get subscribers, the simple website changes that can instantly increase signups, and how to create an email list-building strategy that keeps working long after your latest Instagram post disappears from the feed.   I yap about: Why your email list is one of the most valuable assets in your businessThe easiest ways to start growing your list today (without overcomplicating it)The simple website tweaks that can dramatically increase email signupsLead magnets vs discount codesThe compliance rules you should know before collecting email addressesMy hot take on unsubscribesWhere to promote your newsletter beyond social mediaThe first action steps you can implement today to start building a list that actually converts  Sources: Adding any lead magnet roughly doubles conversion vs. no incentive. One study found mobile went from 3.83% up to 7.73%, and desktop from 1.84% up to 4.7% (My Codeless Website).MailerLite's analysis of 41,000+ opt-in forms found the average conversion rate across all forms and pop-ups was 22.16%, with learning/educational offers (courses, workshops, training) as the best-performing category for most businesses at 27.4% overall conversion (MailerLite).Mailer discounts tend to be the weakest lead magnet by conversion rate, not the strongest.Discount forms and pop-ups had the lowest conversion rate of any offer type, at just 16.2%. Varying the discount depth (10% vs. 15% vs. 20%) doesn't move the needle much either (MailerLite). Connect with me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itsallmost/ Visit my website: https://www.itsallmost.com Join The Conversion Club: https://itsallmost.com/the-conversion-club

    14. Embracing the Woo in Your Business

Let's get a little woo woo, shall we? Worst case: you roll your eyes. Best case: your business transforms. In today's episode, I'm sharing how embracing intuition, manifestation, astrology, human design, and other spiritual + energetic practices has completely changed the way I approach business. Whether you're already deep into the woo or you're a total skeptic, this conversation is really about one thing: building more self-trust. I break down the mindset shifts, rituals, and tools that have helped me make better decisions, feel more aligned, and create a business that feels just as good as the results it's producing. Because strategy matters, but so does the person behind the strategy. I yap about: Why intuition can be one of your greatest business assetsThe difference between manifestation and simply wishing for things to happenHow astrology, human design, and other "woo" tools can build confidence and clarityWhy strengthening your mindset is rooted in science, not just spiritualityThe role gratitude plays in rewiring your brain for abundanceSimple moon rituals, tarot practices, and visualization exercises I actually useHow to balance strategy with energetic alignment in your businessWhy following your curiosity can be more powerful than forcing productivityThe importance of taking action after setting intentionsHow to find the spiritual practices that resonate with you and leave the rest behind  Sources: 43% of women age 18 to 49 believe in astrology and 27% of women 50+ believe in it (Pew Research Center).13% of women consult astrology, tarot cards, or fortune tellers for helpful insights (Pew Research Center).15% of women have received spiritual guidance from a guru, shaman, or other spiritual leader (YouGov).31% of women believe objects such as crystals, jewels, or stones can have spirits or spiritual energies (Pew Research Center).18% of women believe in energetic or vibrational healing and 20% believe in psychic readings (YouGov)69% of women believe in at least one of the following: psychics, astrology, reincarnation, or that spiritual energy can be located in physical things such as crystals (Pew Research Center).  Connect with me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itsallmost/ Visit my website: https://www.itsallmost.com Join The Conversion Club: https://itsallmost.com/the-conversion-club

    13. "Don't Make It Political" (Too Late.)

Oop, I'm bringing up politics again. Because everything is political (duh), even your business. Your values don't clock out when you clock into your business. Neither should your voice. In this episode, we're unpacking why your values shouldn't disappear the moment you become a business owner. I share why I've chosen to be vocal about the causes I care about, how that's impacted my business, and why standing for something can be one of the most powerful ways to build a community that truly aligns with you. I also share real ways to take action, support causes you care about, and use your platform with intention without feeling like you have to be an expert on everything. I yap about: Why "staying out of politics" isn't actually possible as a business ownerHow sharing your values attracts more aligned clients and opportunitiesThe difference between performative activism and taking meaningful actionPractical ways to support causes you care about through your businessWhy your spending habits, partnerships, and business decisions all communicate your valuesHow to speak up authentically, even if you're afraid of losing followers or customersThe mindset shift from scarcity to building a business that's fully aligned with who you areResources: Join me in providing internet access to Gaza! 11. Chinamaxxing, Mahjong, and Asian Cultural Appropriation

Why is something you got bullied for as a kid suddenly "trendy" the moment someone else (especially a white person) discovers/Columbus's it? That question has been sitting with me, and this episode is where I work through it out loud. I'm talking about growing up Asian, watching pieces of my own culture get repackaged and go viral with zero credit to where they came from, and why the line between appreciation and appropriation is actually not that hard to understand despite what white people want to tell you. We get into wellness trends, food, fashion, beauty, social media and why it's worth actually listening to the communities these traditions belong to instead of talking past them. What I'm covering:  Why cultural appropriation isn't just about intent but also impact The childhood experiences that shaped how I see today's viral trends  Where the line between appreciation and appropriation actually exists  How social media, influencers, and brands profit from cultures they don't belong to  What respectful allyship looks like when you're engaging with another culture  I know there's going to be a lot of angry white people in my comments and DMs for this one. Before you come spew your hate at me, take a moment to evaluate why you're so angry and so set on defending problematic behavior that would take only a few small fixes to change? Hmm? Chew on that.   Sources: Of over 3,500 hate incidents in California from March 2020 to June 2021, three out of ten (28.9%) occurred at the place of business. 10. Everything I Wish I Knew About Money Sooner

For years, I avoided looking at my bank account, ignored my budget, and told myself I'd "figure out money stuff later." Sound familiar? Today I'm pulling back the curtain on everything I wish someone had told me sooner about money.... the habits, the mindset shifts, and the small daily decisions that quietly separate the people who retire comfortably from the people stuck living paycheck to paycheck. This isn't about complicated spreadsheets or restrictive budgets. It's about building a healthier relationship with money. One that starts with awareness and ends with confidence. In this episode, we cover: The mindset shifts that completely changed my relationship with money How to start budgeting, saving, and investing without feeling overwhelmed Why building an emergency fund should be one of your first financial goals Common investing mistakes to avoid (especially when emotions take over) Simple habits that can help you build wealth consistently over time Personal finance educators I love: Amanda Holden https://www.instagram.com/dumpster.doggy and the best course you'll ever buy https://amandaholden.podia.com/invested-development (also check out her book "How to Be A Rich Old Lady" https://www.amanda-holden.com/book)Vanessa Wachtmeister https://www.instagram.com/wanderonwards/Berna Anat https://www.instagram.com/heyberna/and her community https://www.instagram.com/new_dimes/Yanely Espinal https://www.instagram.com/missbehelpful/Kara Pérez https://www.instagram.com/karaexploresmoneyTiffany Aliche https://www.instagram.com/thebudgetnista Sources: In the study, 186 people watched real life news stories that were expected to stimulate emotional reactions and were then asked to make risky financial decisions with real money at stake. After watching the news stories, men became significantly less willing to take financial risks even though the decisions were completely unrelated to the news. However, the decisions of women appeared completely unaffected by having watched the same news. 9. Why Mindset Work Matters More Than Systems

I recently did an episode of Cubicle to CEO breaking down how I've worked fewer hours and made more money over the last eight years.  While I was prepping for it, my friend asked me: "But like, what do you actually do?" And that's when I realized... it's not really the systems. It's the mindset. It's the energetic alignment, the inner work, the woo stuff I usually keep to myself. So this week I'm getting into all of it. The eldest immigrant daughter conditioning I'm still unlearning. The ego I had to release to start asking for referrals. The clients I've fired because working with them didn't feel right in my body. And the framework that's helped me reverse-engineer my way out of a scarcity mindset and into a wealthy one, even on the weeks I really, really don't feel like it. This one's a little vulnerable. I'm not coming at you with "I've got it all figured out" energy — I'm still working through a lot of this in real time. But if even one piece of it resonates with you, take it and run. In this episode, we talk about: • Why mindset work often matters more than systems and strategy • How to stop making decisions from fear, desperation, and lack • Why asking for help, referrals, and opportunities is a skill worth developing • The difference between attracting aligned clients and chasing the wrong opportunities • How existing from a place of abundance changes the way you approach money, growth, and success • A simple framework for shifting your thoughts, emotions, actions, and results • Why your future success depends on the identity you're choosing to embody today • Practical ways to build confidence, challenge limiting beliefs, and strengthen your mindset My Cubicle to CEO episode with Ellen: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/339-systemizing-to-six-figures-increasing-average-earnings/id1470966370?i=1000767153258 My Quantum Wealth episode with Jillian: https://podcasts.apple.com/cr/podcast/what-actually-changes-when-you-do-the-inner-work/id1871569964?i=1000769960980 Connect with me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itsallmost/ Visit my website: https://www.itsallmost.com Join The Conversion Club: https://itsallmost.com/the-conversion-club
