    Fear to Promise

In this deeply personal and unscripted episode of Girl Meets God, Crystal opens up about a season of transition—from the person she used to be, to the woman God is calling her to become. She shares honestly about her fear of being seen, something that feels ironic considering how much of her life she spent wanting attention, validation, and affirmation. From curating her image online and finding confidence through how others perceived her, to eventually wanting to disappear altogether, Crystal reflects on what was underneath the image: insecurity, depression, unhealed wounds, and a deep desire to control how others perceived her. But God began to change that. Crystal talks about what it has looked like to step away from an old identity, enter a season of isolation and wilderness, and learn to find her identity in Christ rather than in beauty, attention, perfection, or other people's opinions. She also opens up about the uncomfortable transition from the wilderness into the harvest—the strange reality of praying for something for so long and then realizing that the promise has actually arrived. What do you do when God finally gives you what you've been asking for? For Crystal, the answer is learning to steward the promise well. The conversation takes an unexpected turn when she reads through Deuteronomy 8, and the passage becomes a timely reminder that the same God who sustained her in the wilderness will sustain her in the promised land. The warning is just as important as the promise: don't forget the Lord when the harvest comes. This episode explores: Fear of being seen and fear of being misunderstoodThe difference between worldly confidence and confidence in GodSocial media, validation, and curating an imageMoving away from an old identityDepression, insecurity, and hidden strugglesLearning to let God defend you instead of defending yourselfPerfectionism and prideThe wilderness seasonMoving from isolation into a season of harvestLearning how to steward answered prayersDiscipline and obedienceDiscipleship and "feeding His sheep"Deuteronomy 8 and remembering God in the promised landTrusting God when you can't predict what He's doingLearning to receive what you prayed forScripture mentioned Deuteronomy 8:1–18 — remembering God's faithfulness in the wilderness and remaining faithful when entering the promised land. John 21:15–17 — Jesus' instruction to Peter: "Feed my sheep." 2 Timothy 1:7 — God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. 1 John 4:18 — perfect love casts out fear. 1 Corinthians 2:9 — what God has prepared is beyond what we can see or imagine. James 1:5 — asking God for wisdom. The takeaway The wilderness wasn't wasted. God was feeding, teaching, humbling, strengthening, and preparing you—even when you felt like you had nothing. And when you finally enter the harvest, the assignment isn't to forget the One who brought you there. Remember the Lord your God. Don't let the blessing become more important than the Blesser. Don't let the harvest make you forget the wilderness. Don't let answered prayers make you forget who answered them. The same God who sustained you in the wilderness is the God who will teach you how to steward the promise. You don't have to know exactly what to do next. You just have to keep walking with Him.

    Culture, Idolatry & Discernment

In this thought-provoking episode of Girl Meets God, Kristal explores the difficult but important topic of cultural practices, idolatry, spiritual influences, and the ways believers can unknowingly participate in things that may not align with their faith. Drawing from her own experiences growing up in Jamaica, she reflects on cultural traditions she once participated in and how studying their origins led her to ask deeper questions about spirituality, worship, and biblical truth. Throughout the episode, she discusses the importance of discernment, biblical knowledge, and testing everything against Scripture rather than accepting practices simply because they are popular, traditional, or culturally accepted. Kristal shares why she believes many Christians lack awareness of the spiritual roots behind certain activities and emphasizes the need to seek God for wisdom, understanding, and revelation. This conversation touches on: cultural traditions and faithidolatry and spiritual compromisebiblical discernmentthe importance of knowledge and understandingtesting practices against Scripturespiritual awarenessobedience to Godconviction versus condemnationnavigating culture as a Christianpursuing truth over traditionWith honesty, conviction, and personal reflection, this episode encourages listeners to examine their own lives, seek biblical wisdom, and ensure that their worship, devotion, and allegiance belong fully to God. Repentance, Remorse & Returning to God

In this deeply honest episode of Girl Meets God, Kristal opens up about repentance, remorse, backsliding, surrender, and the overwhelming grace of God. Through personal testimony and biblical reflection, she explores the difference between true repentance and self-condemnation, sharing how God revealed the condition of her heart and brought her through seasons of rebellion, shame, conviction, and restoration. This episode dives into the reality of loving sin, struggling with unforgiveness toward yourself, choosing people and worldly desires over God, and believing the lie that you’ve gone too far for God to still want you. Kristal speaks candidly about her own experiences with backsliding, spiritual emptiness, and trying to outrun God, while reminding listeners that no one is beyond the reach of His mercy and grace. Drawing from scriptures and stories like Peter, Judas, Jonah, Hannah, and Romans 6, this conversation highlights the importance of repentance, the fear of the Lord, dying to self, and fully surrendering to Christ. The final part of the episode focuses on how we overcome sin and spiritual bondage: through the blood of Jesus, surrender, leaving the world behind, asking God for a new heart, and allowing Him to transform us from the inside out. This episode is a reminder that the blood of Jesus is powerful enough to cleanse every sin, heal every broken place, and restore anyone willing to truly surrender to God. Whether you’re wrestling with shame, stuck in cycles of sin, struggling to let go of the world, or trying to find your way back to God, this conversation offers both conviction and hope for the journey ahead.
