    9. Nervous System How-To Guide: Regulating in The Modern Age, w/ Frequency Hygienist, Brooks Haislip

If you live in the modern world, you may notice that your nervous system feels fried from time to time. Some feel it all the time. And a lot of people think that something’s wrong with them, but that’s not the true problem. In fact, your nervous system system is working perfectly. Where the disconnect is happening is in awareness and regulation for the modern age. Simply put, adaptation. Join me for this episode as I sit down with self proclaimed frequency hygienist, Brooks Haislip, and take home very reasonable and effective tools to help you alchemize the parasympathetic and the sympathetic halves of your nervous system into a balanced being of your choice. Brooks is an Awareness and Mindfulness professional who hosts workshops, one-on-one counseling, and women’s groups to help individuals embody an aligned mindset. With over 30 years in the wellness space, she’s developed some pretty cool techniques to help us navigate the modern day. One of my favorite terms she introduced me to is microregulation. We talk about this in the podcast along with other really helpful perspective shifts and take home tools that are not only effective but very doable. Brooks is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and offers virtual consultations and guidance for those outside of Charlotte. If you are in Charlotte, check out some of her offerings, including, but not limited to slow yoga, nervous system reset workshops, and many more. I’m linking her website so you can check out the calendar of opportunities. https://www.brookshaislip.com/ On IG: @brookshaislip And make sure you’re following me to hear more from Brooks and future podcasts!
