It's Time to Be Honest (With God) [Choose Love 79]

There was a moment in my life, even as a pastor's wife, with pastoral responsibility, that I realized I didn't trust God. Not only that...I hated Him. My husband Johnny ministered to me as I sobbed, and it was a defining moment in my life. So many of us struggle with not knowing if God is truly good. We're often asked to trust God in a new way that brings up old pains. What will you do in those moments? Those moments that are ripe for the enemy to try to convince us of the lie that God is NOT good...that He DOESN'T love us? Join me to remind yourself of God's goodness, no matter how hard of a time you're having with Him right now. Religion has been the cause of devastating violence in our world. But it's also, possibly, the greatest proof of how much we all have in common. A longing to know truly know God. What Will the End of the Age Be Like? [Choose Love 77]

How can you cooperate with God in restoring culture that actually reflects His love? Jesus tells us directly what the end of the age will be like. And He gives us the blueprint for how to spread His love among people most vulnerable to believe the enemy's lies that they don't matter. In this episode, Elizabeth teaches how to show God's love to vulnerable people practically, in a way that has cultural and Kingdom impact. And remember: God is FOR you! You are so loved. Your Questions Need to Be Answered [Choose Love 76]

We ALL have questions about God. And how you answer those questions is the most important thing about you! If you're like my husband and I, you might have grown up with a pretty one-dimensional answer to all your questions. Maybe you saw God as the strict disciplinarian. Or the God who loves you but...barely, because you're just too human. Whatever the case, I want to invite you today to enter into an expanded view of God. To consider the "Rainbow God", as we call Him...God who cares about everything in this world and in your life, and is in all things. God who is big enough to care about it all, yet tender enough to care about every one of your challenges and struggles. And don't miss the end, where I talk about the proof that He's so much more than you've been led to believe. In This Episode: 0:00 Big Questions About God 4:30 The Strict God My Husband Grew Up With 7:55 God, According To Your Culture 11:29 The Rainbow God Perspective That Changed It All 13:20 What If That Thing In You...Is God? 8 Things You Need To Let Go Of To Align With GOD'S Calling On Your Life [Choose Love 75]

Are you a glass half full, or a glass half empty sort of person? This isn't just a cute cliche...it truly matters because it ends up being the lens through which you see life, yourself, and God. And if you're looking through the wrong lens, you're going to be believing lies...a wrong narrative. And a wrong narrative brings all sorts of problems. Especially when you believe the Enemy's narrative that's distorted God and what you think about your own identity. In this episode, Elizabeth provides 8 shifts that you can make to align with GOD'S narrative. 8 ways to tweak your narrative to align with God, and 8 things to let go of so that you can stop believing the false narrative keeping you stuck, hurt, and down. In This Episode: 0:00 Intro 1:20 The Perspective of Job 3:47 Shift #1: A New Standard 8:03 Shift #2: A New Perspective 10:04 Shift #3: A New Cycle Of Healing 13:09 Shift #4: A New Love 15:09 Shift #5: A New Enemy 19:37 Shift #6: A New Response 24:04 Shift #7: A New Approach 28:03 Shift #8: A New Message 33:55 Prayer Resources: God In Every Season Bundle: https://www.restore7.org/products/pre-order-god-in-every-season-bundle --- Restore7: https://www.restore7.org/ Partner with us by Donating: https://www.restore7.org/donate Take the RISE Video Course and Download The App: https://www.rise7.org/

Your Mind is the Battlefield of Life [Choose Love 74]

The narratives we tell ourselves about God, ourselves, and others shape our lives and, if we're not careful, can become spiritual strongholds of the enemy that work against us. The enemy loves firing missiles at us, and if we have the wrong perspective - the wrong story - about the things that happen in our lives, those missiles will land and eat away at us. What we need is a strong defensive system. In the same way that Israel has the Iron Dome missile defense system that stops enemy missiles from reaching the ground, we need to build ourselves a spiritual Iron Dome that can take down the enemy's missiles before they reach their target. In this episode, I'll share with you how to start developing your spiritual Iron Dome, and how to win the battle against the lies of the enemy. In This Episode: 0:00 The Narrative We Tell Ourselves 1:41 Our Mind Becomes The Battlefield 4:33 A New New 6:37 Our Spiritual "Iron Dome" 8:28 We Do Not War According To The Flesh 22:15 How To Win The Battle 30:44 2 Steps To Win Throughout The Day 35:45 Love In Action 48:34 Is THIS Your Breakthrough? 53:16 Prayer Resources: God In Every Season Bundle: https://www.restore7.org/products/pre-order-god-in-every-season-bundle --- Restore7: https://www.restore7.org/ Partner with us by Donating: https://www.restore7.org/donate Take the RISE Video Course and Download The App: https://www.rise7.org/
