    Reggae Bash 1994

    EEKshow  Episode 21:  Raggae Bash (with an rhytmic jingle) Back in 1994 near the end of Freshmand Year, Late April into May time frame, there was an Epic Annual Fraternity Event at the Delta Upsilon House on the Campus of Syracuse University (I believe located up on Comstock Avenue)...  The event had been talked about nearly our entire year, even as early as Halloween, as all of us were just starting off in College...  away from home, on our own, left to do whatever we all chose to do.  During Halloween of this very same year, this Fraternity Brotherhood all dressed up in the same outfit, cows (quite incredible at that time if you ask me)...   Everyone was going to go to this Reggae Bash, especially if you were a Freshman, it was literally the talk of the town, the party you had to go to, and quite frankly (there were visitors all coming to town for the event as well, not just us Cusians who attended the University)...  I still remember most of that day/night overall leading up to the Climax of the same evening like it was yesterday.  Unfortunately, I do forget the aftermath, post everything that went down (well, not the condition of our Hallway and bathroom, the left side of Brewster 3, when you walk out of the elevators and turn Left).  Nor, do I foget about that poor girl who was in her room minding her own business down on Brewster 2! What a memory, what an act of inebriated idiocy...  The S is for Slooowwwth, the S is for Sloowwwth!!!     BONUS Episode:  Friday Night UFcokezerO  (with a fun jingle made on the spot, one take, NO BS)...  Not that it's any good, but it made me laugh and smile.  So F**k It, why not add it in... We get older, we get wiser, we spend our time for our kids, our families, as we should (most nights and even on weekends).  Sometimes those simple little moments mean lots of rides, assistance, helping, and killing some time in a random parking lot having an unhealthy bite of food because you really have not had any time to eat over the last 12 hours...     An Alarmless World

    EEKshow Episode XX:  An Alarmless World Loud noises that pelt your brain from a deep or even light sleep.  That's how most of the world tends to wake up when they're scheduled to do something they have to do like School, Work, Errands, etc...  Alarm Clocks, Systems, Phone Alarms, all of them are impediments to our own peaceful way of dealing how to organically learn how to systematically be ready for what's next (whatever or whenever it is).  And or, I believe that most of us live with someone or have someone that we can somewhat depend on, and it you can't or don't (then figure it out, ideally without the nuisance of a heart shuttering sound or system that I believe stunts your way of life).   My goal when I was young was to find a way to grow out of the Alarm Clock, live without one...  I used to dream about it, staring up into the night sky before I'd fall asleep...  I called it  "An Alarmless World" Welcome to your Friday session, this week's episode, #20 in Season 1, (wow that came fast)...  PSSST, Time to Get Up, it's EEKshow Time!!!     EEKshow:  Episode 19 - BTS (Back To School)  Back to School is not only a sacred and annual event that takes places for our children, families, friends, nieces/nephews, grandkids, etc...  but it's also one of the greatest all time comedy movies ever made.  "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr Thornton Melon"  Need I say more. First day of school, do your kids take the bus, get a ride, walk, drive, and or take their One Wheel?  Whatever it is, it's oh so memorable.  Those 1st day outfits, especially if you're a girl, like my daughter.  Pretty nostalgic all these years seeing her go through the same thing her mom/dad did all those years ago.  To all of you out there in EEKshow land, I wish your families, sons/daughters, nieces/nephews, Grandkids, as well as all of their pets seeing them head off to school again now that Summer is over...  Congratulations.  Soak it in, goes too dam fast.  Hopefully you got photos, you're documenting, or you have some personal tradition.  Love all of it.   My goal here was just to recount a bit and talk about running into a father smoking a butt out in front of the high school in our town after dropping off his kid.  Luckily for the EEKshow Production this week, I just happened to be the next car in line dropping off my own kid.  You really can't script this shit any better.     BONUS Episode: SPKYRORA

    Bonus Episode:  SPKY RORA - (SPOOKY RORA - A Vanity Plate Sighting on 787 towards Saratoga/Ballston Spa NY) Sometimes a story or random event just falls into our laps.  It's as if the universe decided to put you or others in a particular place at a very specific time, where whatever you or these others actually witness or see with your own eyes, may indeed change your perspective for all of time... Before Thursday, August 27th, I'd say around 10:30AM in the morning EST, I did NOT truthfully believe in Ghosts, Witches, Warlocks, Goblins, and some might even refer to what we saw that day as, A Ghoul.  However, all of those beliefs are now very real, lying deep within my tainted soul, and within my passenger's as well (who briefly froze solid on that day)... Forces beyond our control, our wildest imaginations, at times show up or present what the demonic worshipers call, "An Evil Spirit, The Undead, or even - Mothman..."  Unfortunately for EEKshow and my good friend, all three of those myths became a reality last week.  Forewarned by a Vanity License Plate, reading from left to right: S P K Y R O R A - all three visually appeared in just one being or IT. Welcome to the EEKshow, and beware of this tale, this route towards Saratoga/Ballston Spa, and this Vanity Plate (for it is very real, it's out there, AND YOU MAY BE THE NEXT ONE TO SEE "WHO-WHAT-IT" S ACTUALLY DRIVING WITH IT)...!!!     Honey Nut EEKskins

    EEKshow - Episode 18:  Honey Nut EEKskins (& a Jingle to kick it off) Cereal is a food for the Gods, although so many of the greatest ones are not at all good for us as humans.  Sugar Bowls, topped with Sugary Milk (and the fattier the better in my opinion).  A bowl of cereal with milk is literally one of the easiest, tastiest, any time, and fulfilling meals (where you also usually will have trouble eating just one bowl...  well, those who are not health nuts anyway).  There are also a ton of great healthier cereals that are still good for you, but just SO MANY MORE bad ones.  Sugar, with Sugary Candy pieces or marshmallows mixed in, with the the Sugary Coated - Sugar Flakes (sitting in Milk, that has Sugar, which then also retains all the Sugar you may not have already ingested while you eat because it's seeping into the liquid itself, which you then drink from the bowl like a Mongol).  Sometimes the Prize inside the BOX is even another Sugary treat.  I remember being young and wanting to get a box of Cocoa Rice Krispies just to be able to get the Sugar Daddy Caramel Lollipop that was inside at the bottom.  Of course this was after I mastered the Maze for Snap, Crackle, & Pop to find their way out of the Kitchen to the land of Candy (in one try mind you)  EEKshow style. There are so many cereals, so many competitors these days, with several types all falling under major marketing brands as well...  EEKshow may even have a new cereal on the way, something truly unique, crunchy, non perishable, and a entirely self produced core ingredient...  "They're Not GREATTTT!!!"  Have fun, another EEKshow Podcast is about to lift you into another world, that's just as real as the one you're in now, but with a little more laughter...     BUGS!

    EEKshow - Episode 17:  BUGS! In short, BUGS are everywhere and they've been around since BC on into AD, to further include the times when T-Rex walked the planet (pre Big Bang, Pre and Post Ice Ages, etc...).  Think about that timeline.  They're in charge, and I for one think they know it.  Tell me something else in your life that you constantly kill or avoid and that never goes away, finds its way back to where you are (not always, but even once or twice is too much)...  BUGS...  They're nasty, most ALL types too.  I also know there will be people out there telling me or us that they're part of both the Ecosystem & Foodchain, don't complain, as without bugs, bee's, etc...  everything would fall apart. Probably so, BUT I don't like BUGS, I don't like how much they affect being outside at night, or on the water, or in the backyard mowing the law, or pulling weeds, or walking on trails, or hiking through the woods.  I'm not a fan (although Winter works well to avoid nearly all of them)...  I MOSTLY don't like TICKS -  One time years ago, I woke up to a Pinching Sensation right on the very top of my private area...  We had our first dog back then and he was amazing.  He also always slept in our bed with us (ticks were known, but never to the extent I learned about them that late evening).  I remember waking up, having to pee, but also feeling this pinching...  after which I reached down to check out what it could be.  Unfortunately for me, it was not anything I could have expected (a Deer Tick, the Red Back ones, the scary/extra gross and Lyme Diseases carrying ones)...  I felt it but had no idea until I went into the bathroom and looked closely down at the area...  This m**********r was attached and creating a slight pinching sunflower seed like abrasion right on the head of my shaft...  100% Truth!  Lets just say I got up, pried it off with a pair of tweezers, EXTREME PAIN for that area for weeks, tender as all hell then and even still now (nearly 20 years later).  Went to the doctor the first thing that next morning, got the Lyme test and also the Doxycycline antibiotic ahead of time, just in case.  All turned out ok, but truly HORRIFYING.  I proceeded to take that tick that I pulled off my private and taped it to an Index Card with a Clear Piece of Tape (you were supposed to do that for the doctor or if you showed a bullseye rash or symptoms of Lyme days/weeks later, it helped them identify the potential tick born disease). For me, it was for a different reason... I labeled it, gift wrapped it, after which I gave it to a friend of mine for Secret Santa at my brother's annual Christmas Party.  Funniest Gift of all time (not only for him, but for me too).  Classic to stay the least, something awful into a joke, sounds familiar?  I just hope he still has it   ;) No Bueno, not a fan of ticks, bugs, or really any of them.  Please enjoy this semi- and gross educational Podcast Episode that I call,  BUUUGGGSS!!!!!   - EEKshow "If you Seek an Episode Topic by EEK, Send Fan Mail.
