Oikos Stories is a podcast for pastors and church leaders who want to hear some of the stories born from ministries when the Oikos Principle takes root. Each episode features a conversation with a church leader who has wrestled with it, implemented it, and watched it change the way their people see the world around them. Don’t mistake the Oikos Principle for a church growth strategy. These conversations are about equipping pastors to help their people recognize the relationships God has already given them so they can do something about it.     Relief for Weary Pastors with Pastor Jerry Joplin

    After 25 years of pastoring, Jerry Joplin had tried just about every evangelism program there was. Each one would launch with momentum, then slowly fade out over time. And every time it did, the burden of evangelism was back on Jerry to figure out what to do next. Then he read about the Oikos Principle. And in the front cover of his copy of 8 to 15, he wrote a single word: Relief. In this episode of Oikos Stories, Jerry Joplin, a longtime pastor and former director of the Lubbock Area Baptist Association, shares about the relief he felt discovering the Oikos Principle. For the first time in his ministry, he didn’t have t look for the next evangelism strategy. He's been living and teaching the Oikos Principle since he first discovered it more than 15 years ago.     The Durable Church with Luke Chow

When the building closed, everything built around the Sunday experience closed with it.
