    Episode 8 - MTB etiquette

In this episode, Annie and Claire dive into trail and bike park etiquette, from shared-use areas to lift-accessed bike parks. We also do the most riffing we’ve probably done to date which might explain how we were able to record nearly an hour’s worth of episode (also … we are really good at yapping). Tune in for some laughs and stick around for some tips to feel comfortable and confident on your next ride at a busy bike park.

Episode 7 - What MTB gear do you really need?

All the gear: what gear do you actually need? Protective gear is great but padding won’t make up for a rigid riding position, and a full face is of limited use if you blow up on the climb and have to limp down the trails! It’s expensive to kit up and as a new rider you might not know what is and isn’t worth your hard earned cash. In this episode, hear our new segment, icks and yips or ews and yews, and a deep dive into what gear you actually need for MTB as a beginner or intermediate rider.

Episode 6 - different styles of off-road riding, where to do it and the bike to do it on!

You’ve heard of downhill, downhill, downcountry and enduro … but what actually does it mean?? Where can you do it? What sort of bike do you need to ride it? In episode 6, Annie and Claire chat about different off-road riding styles, bikes and excellent MTB destinations within Australia. A few bucket list destinations for each of us, a rundown of some awesome trails we’ve ridden and some manifestation for rides and bikes for both of us.

Episode 5 - decoding MTB lingo

Have you ever wondered what exactly a tabletop is? Or what ‘off camber’ actually means? Sometimes MTB slang does what it says on the tin but other times, it makes no sense. In this episode, Annie and Claire discuss some lingo and terms to help you get the most out of all your trailhead banter!

    Episode 3

What do you need to start MTB? Once you start, how do you progress? Should you trust YouTube to be your coach? Claire and Annie take a deep dive into some of the practicalities of getting started and what comes next, from considering bike storage to the dreaded skills plateau. From foundational clinics to intermediate skills sessions, they’ve seen it all. Did the ep get a bit unhinged? More than once. Did we have to edit some stuff out? Perhaps. Should you listen? Absolutely. Can Annie really see you in the gym? Maybe.
